Topic titles in capitals please (a strange rule in this forum) :)
As you're obviously a Joe D'Amato fan, I think the best film of the man is by far BEYOND THE DARKNESS, one of my all-time favourites !!

Beyond the Darkness is one of my favorites too, I have the version but out my Shriek Show/Media Blasters. It also includes tons of covers of his adult films in the special easter egg.
Have you see Death Smiles at murder, that also is a good one? :D

D'Amato's RETURN FROM DEATH is a total 'guity pleasure' for me. lol
I always enjoyed the film ever since i first saw it in rare bootleg form taken from a scarce Venezuelan source. Totally awful and cheap, it never the less remained entertaining, mostly for the wrong reasons but occasionally for the right reasons.
The storyline was fairly interesting and merged elements of PATRICK with the classic FRANKENSTEIN tale to create a nice little concept that unfortunately was badly fleshed out into script form, directed in extremely rushed manner, poorly acted, horrendously dubbed (maybe the worst English dubbing EVER, but hilarious for it!) and badly made from all angles. Still, the film is great fun and a total riot and the unintentional humour combined with an engaging idea makes what this turkey well worth plating up on occasion when the mood dictates it!

Great film and the soundtrack is beautiful,also check out Sergio Garrone's very similar gothic horror LE AMANTI DELL MOSTRO(Lover of the Monster) which again stars Kinski.Both essential.

Call Beyond of Darkness as BUIO OMEGA is more attractive here :D
I also like its soundtrack too. One of Goblin team's masterpiece works.
Hi Joe Jr. ;
I wanted to add Poliziotteschi classics to this title too. I think these are important era such as Giallo and Erotic movies. My first class favourites are Fernando Di Leo & Enzo G. Castellari classics ;
IL BOSS
MILANO CALIBRO 9
LA POLIZIA INCRIMINA LA LEGGE ASSOLVE
IL GRANDE RACKET

Italian movie actors that I like. Well, I would have to choose Laura Gemser the "Black Emanuelle Queen", George Eastman, Mark Shannon, Annj Goren, Dirce Funari, and Lucia Ramirez. All Joe D'Amato originals.

Great interview with Mark Shannon(real name Manlio Cersosimo) in Cine 70 #8 which came out a few months ago,he talks about his films with D'amato at length including the horse scene from CALIGULA 2 as well as Mauri's LE PORNO KILLERS.
