Making some research about italian cinema of seventies, i came across these two movies made in late seventies..., they seem diffviultu to find and i would like to konw the opinions of any forum membre who has watched them..., and by the way, if they are avaiable...

La Orca.

Criterion DungeounBoth filmas are worth watching. I like them a lot. The second one is partly made up by flashbacks of the first though, even though it has a narrative of it's own.
The crime / sleaze mix is rather nice and the gradually character development between Niehaus and Placido is captivating. A case study of the Stockholm syndrome one could argue. The second one is developing the Niehaus character more and her feelings directly afterward the kidnapping.
Regarding the Stockholm syndrome I recomend to watch the Swedish film
Norrmalmstorg about the Norrmalmstorg kidnapping in 1973. It actually carry the english title The Stockholm Syndrome. It's a really nice movie.

The date's been pushed back a few times. Right now it's supposed to be September 15th.
I think our fellow member "spannick" is behind this release.

I like both movies but prefer Oedipus Orca ! The second one delivers much more sleaze and even some nasty slaughterhouse footage ... :)

Hope he knows when the Robbe-Grillet is coming and if they also go for the other one that has already been released in Italy without subs :hello!:

Finally camera obscura released ORCA in dvd or has been delayed again?

Yep, delayed. Release is scheduled for April 30th now.

Regards 'OEDIPUS ORCA' you could always try tracking down the impossibly rare UK release on Fletcher/Techno video, although so far only a sleeve has been discovered!!

Both of them have been released on dvd in Italy by Cecchi Gore Home Video in December 2010.
Italian language only, but excellent editions (full uncut versions), and many extras.
