Well i am curious about your favourite music genre. I believe (or i want to believe) that people like us with such as specialized movie genres give a respect to the music we listen and search for it more and more! I tried to express as detailed as possible all the music genres in 15 choices. So i am waiting for your votes and your comments. You can vote more than once if you like more than one genre!

I bet for heavy metal, they walk with horror together. Examples are everywhere.
But I think Ozzmosis should ignore classical music, jazz, folk, genres without a chance and post instead metal categories, black metal, death, gothic.
The forum is about movies though and soundtracks get a chance.

I agree. Fans of Epic Metal hate Black Metal etc... Heavy Metal mean so many -rather different- things today.

As for me I have no taboos like that. I was born a heavy metal baby and even now that I am 41 years old with a family and a...round belly :( this can't change.

I'm an "open mind" and I could listen to everything in fact: gothic, punk, italo-disco, electronic, greek...and enjoy them. Like movies, the most weird - the best !!
I know some people say "when a man says he likes all kind of music then he really doesn't like any" but for me is not truth. Of course I couldn't hear all those at the same time, I have my "periods". Oh, I mustn't forget progressive rock of the 70s. The music I like most is from 70s & 80s, only a few from today. I guess I grow old :(
Also I must mention Scandinavian & Greek Black Metal of the 90s.

But as I said in the beginning my heart is made from heavy metal and this don't change. I always return there - that's why I voted just for it for the Poll.

I tried to include all kinds of music in the poll. I believe that there are people that listen to classical music, jazz, folk etc why not??? Although i am a big fan of heavy metal and hard rock music i didnt want to spend the half poll choices to sub genres of metal! I wanted to include all possible grand genres. This means that in the metal poll choice are all kinds of metal and hard rock (epic ,power ,aor, nwobhm etc). The same is for the other genres! Well Miltos keep rocking and remember that heavy metal has nothing to do with the age but with the heart!

I completely quote Miltos on this, although my background is actually rooted in hardcore and punk rock, that's the music I was born with and I still love it.
Although, lately I'm experiencing a renewed interest in heavy metal (I have a very good friend with a massive CD collection, we do swaps. I give him movies, he gives me CDs).
But yes, what drives me is the same kind of attitude I have towards movies, i.e. I try to keep an open mind and watch everything and listen to everything.
My curiosity is almost endless, so I'll give a chance to almost evry genre and the weirder the better..... I only draw a line for classical and jazz, especially the latter: I really don't like it.

As for me I like Industrial music, especially of 1980-s and some Black metal. Of couse I like soundtracks for my favourite movies and can listen to other genres. At the moment I'm listening to Italian progressive rock band Jacula.

For me I like to listen to rap, country and soundtracks for some of my favorite movies (Italian and Italian blends). I just love everything Italian! B) :D
