Title: MESSAGE FOR A.N...PLEASE READ!
Description: Important
WANYON - January 6, 2008 05:23 PM (GMT)
Sorry to use the forum for this but your inbox on here is full apparently, A.N, so please could you contact me via PM?
Still no luck receiving your email via my Hotmail or Yahoo accounts...must be a problem between our email servers of something!
Any chance you could cut-and-paste the email for me and send via my Cinehound Private Message account instead please mate?
Many thanks!
A.N. - January 6, 2008 05:43 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately I sent you four times my original e-mail (to the accounts you gave me) but to no avail. It's not possible, for technical reasons, to cut-and-paste my long message (which included a couple of images) and send it through Cinehound PM. In my message I summed up some suggestions and infos about Polselli. The ruthless fate decided for us, and prevented my communicating with you. I'll try again, but it's no use fighting against destiny (as Mickey Hargitay used to say).
WANYON - January 9, 2008 01:30 PM (GMT)
I am fine with you sending me the email here at my CINEHOUND Private Messaging account. Cutting and pasting it into here should not be a problem as i have done so before myself and it works fine. Not only that, but i have written some HUGE meesages via this PM account on here and there is always enough space to write! So, please...send it here as i am 100% fine with that...thanks.
If there were any attachments to your email that you were worried about, then simply leave them off the email and just send the text version of your email, ok?
Cheers A.N...
Wayne

I'll try again through e-mail.
Cheers.
WANYON - January 10, 2008 07:34 PM (GMT)
Are you sure you won't try sending it through CINEHOUND private message? I can't see why that option does not suit you?
If email or private message on here fails again, i will give you the email address of a good friend of mine in Italy who has said you can email it via him instead...we'll get there in the end!
A.N. - January 10, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
My email is private and confidential, otherwise I'd have posted it publicly on the forum.
By the way, is it really important for you to know my suggestions? Let's publish our books, and then we'll compare their contents...
WANYON - January 11, 2008 01:52 PM (GMT)
Hi Andrea
I understand and respect you not wanting to publish your email address on here or anywhere else. I simply meant that if neither of my email accounts receives your email then a friend in Naples has said that he would be happy for you to email HIM with the email and he will pass it onto me...
As for the info you may (or may not?) have that could benefit me and my book, YES...i am very keen to read your email so i can compare research. Franco Grattarola is a friend of my buddy in Rome and so i was hoping we could work together in ensuring that any book on Renato is as definitive as it possibly can be. So, as much as i would LOVE to wait until the Andrea Napoli/Franco Grattarola book comes out and my own book comes out and compare notes, i would rather my book be the most fitting tribute to Renato as humanly possible. Seeing as both our books will be TOTALLY different i can't see that sharing any info that i may possibly have not uncovered about a couple of Renato's latter-day hardcore efforts can in any way damage your own book. And from what i understand, your book is out in the coming months? Mine has a long way to go still before i can make it complete and publish it...so any info given (if it is info i am unfamiliar with) would have LONG before been published and revealed in yours and Grattarola's book...while mine would be out at a much later date!
But it is up to you. I am an honest and fair guy and would give credit for the contribution you or Grattarola made for the book (if you in fact do! ;p) and in return would be happy to return the favour in the future for any further book projects you will work on in 2008 or after.
I am just a humble guy who works on his book on occasion when time and money allows. I am friendly but take exception to the vast amount of genre writers around today who screw people over to make their names, fill their bank accounts or feed their egos or collections. I have encoutered MANY horror stories about genre scribes and DVD companies using and abusing veteran film-makers to get their hands on materials not available via any other means, and it makes me sick. I prefer to be outspoken about these kind of people and show that there ARE people out there who DO have integrity and a TRUE passion for this industry and its dream-makers.
So, i understand if you are maybe worried that i will rip you off, claim your info as my own or in some other way screw you over. But i stand before the world and our fellow Cinehounds here and state: I AM A HUMBLE, GENUINE PERSON WHO IS WRITING THIS BOOK PURELY OUT OF LOVE FOR RENATO AND HIS FILMS. I WILL NEVER MAKE BACK THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT ON IT. AND I WILL NEVER PUBLISH IT UNTIL I FEEL I HAVE MADE IT THE BEST TRIBUTE TO RENATO AS I POSSIBLY CAN. I PROMISED RENATO THAT. I PROMISED MYSELF THAT. MY WORD IS MY LIFE, WHETHER IT IS PUBLISHED OR WHETHER IT IS A PROMISE UTTERED FROM MY LIPS. I SIMPLY WANT TO DO THIS BOOK BECAUSE RENATO WANTED ME TO DO IT SO MUCH AND I WANTED TO PAY TRIBUTE TO HIM. I DO NOT WANT TO FAIL, EVEN IF I FEEL IT WILL NEVER QUITE BE THE BOOK I HAD ALWAYS HOPED IT WOULD BE SINCE RENATO PASSED AWAY WITH SO MANY QUESTIONS STILL UNASKED AND UNANSWERED.
So, please trust me. If not, i understand...it is the greedy, unprofessional and underhanded genre writers and DVD companies of this world that have, in recent years especially, caused so much mistrust of fellow writers in this day and age...so...what can we do?

Dear Wanyon, forgive me but you're off the track. I'm not at all jealous of my possible knowledges about Polselli, nor worried that sharing my infos with you could somehow damage my work. I know you're an honest and fair guy (otherwise I would have decided not to correspond with you). And, of course, I am not working at this book of mine for money or other ambiguous motives. It's always a pleasure helping fellow researchers (provided they are honest and polite guys) and sharing with them infos and films I have collected in so many years of researches.
I'll send again my message (or at least I'll try to do it). You're going to make a serious mistake in your book about your supposed discovery concerning the authorship of Polselli's porn movie shot in the mid 80s. I already know you'll go on clinging to your idea about that, and will not change your mind. It's so difficult for young people to change their mind... But I'll let you know these facts all the same, in the interests of truth and according to the rules of honesty.
WANYON - January 12, 2008 11:08 AM (GMT)
No worries. I am grateful for your time. It is hard these days to find people working in the genre journalism side of the industry who are honest, respectful, full of integrity and not full of ego...so i am happy to be in contact with you!
As for that mid-1980s Polselli porno you speak of, i am always open to the knowledge of others. Especially if it helps provide the film fans with the correct detail and give them their value for money. I really wish my book had been finished years ago...especially while Renato was still with us. He was so excited about it and keen to see it finished and in his hands. Alas, information, materials and other things have kept it moving at a snail's pace and the fact that i have tried for years to do it all by myself (with the help, of course, of my friend in Rome and Renato himself) has not helped really. I have always been stubborn about trying to realise the project on my own as much as possible and it has only been in the past year really that i have started asking people if they have anything that may help my book. Good people...but plenty of people who screwed me over and offered NOTHING too! But that goes with the territory i guess. Just nice to see people like you out there who still care and who have true passion for what the do and the genre they cover...because there are so many greedy and egotistical people out there ruining the industry and giving it a bad name...
I look forward to the email. And please...if it does not reach me, let me pass on my friend's email address so you can try sending to him instead.
Looking forward to your book, by the way. Any chance of it having Italian AND English text (ala the GLITTERING IMAGES books)? And do you have any 'taster' you can show us all on here, like a book cover that you may be working on or some other tidbit to sample and whet our appetites? ;p

I've just sent again my mail, without attached images. Hope you'll receive it.
All the best.

Sorry A.N. Forgot to leave you a reply!
Still no email coming through. I have checked my 'Bulk' messages, my 'Inbox' as well as my 'Trash Bin/deleted' folders in case it had been automatically withheld by my account as an unidentified email from an unidentified sender...but nothing. Has the email not been bounced back to you in that case? Usually that is what happens when an email does not get through to someone's email address...it automatically gets bounced back to the sender with a notification, right?
Please let me know if you would be ok sending it to one of my two friends in Italy. Both are writers and reputable...
Thanks again...

This is a real mystery, worthy of Sherlock Holmes. The email obviously didn't came back (otherwise I'd have told you). Maybe you have some anti-spam filters or something like that. I'll invstigate about it.
cinehound - January 16, 2008 04:20 PM (GMT)
These anti-spam filters are really useful but sometimes destroy everything as you mysteriously loose some normal e-mails been condidered as "spam" by the system
It's a clever though to have a seperate "spam box" so you could quickly check it from time to time for valuable messages!
cinehound - January 16, 2008 04:22 PM (GMT)
Oh, sorry, I just read in Wayne's message he already has a "bulk box"...It's a big mystery then
