John unbuckled his simulated saber and began to stretch he wasn't sure what he would be doing with Mara, but for now he was just waiting for her to arrive. He felt anxious to see what this training would bring, and confident, perhaps too confident, in his abilities. He also felt extremely nervous, it had been years since he had any formal training, and what little he had was short lived. He also felt fear, yes fear, fear that he would somehow fail. That even though this was training he would make some terrible error and either die, or be thrown out of the training program. He did some basic warm up exercises and then, as the time for Mara or to show up drew nearer, he prepared himself mentally. His first step was always to expel all emotion from his body. He lived by a saying he had read in a book once:
1"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."
He finished preparing and sat down to wait for her arrival.

She was already there, she spoke aloud from out of the shadows of the corner of the training room...

"You must have fear in order to know what it is. So that you can use it. For it comes in many forms."

She walked up to the young Sith, letting her hips show her curves, and it was about two meters from him when she stopped. She was now clearly visible and she could clearly see this young Sith. She kept eye contact with him the entire time, wondering who would be the first to turn away. This was both to for an intimidation value and to see if his eyes wondered to anywhere in particular. She smiled when she got close, but still keep eyes on him. It was then that she spoke up and continued with...

"I have looked at your file, it says that you have been trained. I was wondering if you could show me what you do know. That is if you are alright with showing your talents to a female."

He surveyed his trainer carefully she was average height and did not look overly large or strong. However, he knew better then to think that she would not be capable of teaching him anything. Her skills with the light saber were legendary. Besides light saber combat was decided just by strength and size. He did not even consider whether or not she was attractive first of all, it was never good to get involved with a teacher so there was no reason to even look at her. Secondly, he knew that attraction would be a dangerous emotion towards one so dangerous as she was. He felt a little bit nervous in regard to showing her his skills he did not want to start off seeming poor to his new trainer. However, he realized that this was an essential part of training. He gathered his thoughts and prepared to display his skills. He never looked away from her. "Sure, I would love to. Do you want a demonstration on a training dummy or a simulated duel, or did you have something else in mind?" He was ready to do either one she wished to do.

It was when the young Sith started to speak to her that she started to act. She smiled again, as if she did not have a worry in the world. In fact she really didn't, because it was all going to plan. Her plan. Not out of love, or joy, or passion, or strength but out of pure hate and malice. It was then that she let an amount of it out of the proverbial cage and let it play around in the area for a bit, with a quite strong and sudden Force choke. She really didn't care for what the young Sith wanted to know at this point in time, it was time for him to start learning as she spoke to him in calm but focused manner.....

"You need to find your passion, your strength, and your drive......Without it, you are not of use. And I can not train someone who is not of use. You might as well be dead. Or Bantha Fodder."

After attempting to raise the Sith off the ground and hold him there for about a minuter or so, she let him go. And pulled out her lightsaber as she started to slowly walk around him, as though she was walking an orbit around a sun. She wondered what kind of training this one had received, because it was impressive to her at this point in time. If anything, he seemed behind....

OOC: I don't have a light saber to practice with do I?
IC: The master's actions shocked him. He knew he had to regain his composure and come with a plan...now. He realized that she expected him to show her what he knew and assumed that she was good enough to stop anything he threw at her. He waited until her back was turned to his sword hand. "Now" he thought he drew his sword as fast as he could and struck at her back. At the same time he pulled out a simulated blaster and prepared to fire with it. He leveled it at her and took aim.

Mara turned on here heels and blocked the first blow and deflect the shot from the blaster. The blaster shot was deflected back over Kant's left shoulder, inches from his head and his shoulder. She smirked, much like her brother, and slashed out at the blaster that Kant shot at her. There was only one question that stood in the back of her mind that she wanted to ask this young Sith, and that was Why did he not answer my question about his passion? Perhaps another way. Mara stopped here attacks after the first slice against the blaster. She really hadn't fought many that used the sword and blaster at the same time. An interesting technique, she thought to herself. She then asked the young Sith as she took a step back,

"So, what is your passion?"

He stepped back quickly to keep away from her slash aimed at his blaster. He was not surprised by her skill with the light saber. He recovered to a position that he typically used when fighting with a sword and a blaster. He held his right hand and his sword on top and his pistol in his left hand on bottom both were aimed at her. He looked at her intrigued by this training method she seemed to genuinely want to know what his passion was. "My passion" he replied "my true passion is learning. "This is one of the reasons why I dropped out of training and went to the university. I love light saber and force training but that was all that they taught there. You did not learn very much they never wanted to explain anything or tell you theory behind anything. All they told you was "if your opponent does this respond with this. I love to learn anything from any subject. So, naturally the university was a good choice for me. They taught me things from almost every field there." He kept his eyes on her light saber and her hands. He firmly believed that you could tell where any adversaries attack was going by looking at their hands. He was not sure what she would throw at him next and stood prepared for almost anything.

"Good then, I will teach you a few things that will help you out then."

She spoke as she took a step back from Kant, she made eye contact with him while she continued. She relaxed while she conversed with Kant, a bit.

"The first of which will be Force Grip. This power is best used to pick something up and then either thrown at a person or at something else."

She walked over to the side of the training room, and opened up training locker with various weights in it. She grabbed a few and tossed them out on to the floor. She then proceeded to point at them, saying.....

"Focus on them. And through a combo of force push and pull you can grab onto them. Try it on the five pound one first, to get a hand of it."
