Title: Remastering the Light

Klatu Berada - February 12, 2011 01:26 AM (GMT)
Klatu meditated heavily in his chambers, emptying his mind of all that was irrelevant as the time. Clearly life was starting to get to him. However, in his chambers, all that was worthwhile or important was reconnecting with the force. As long as he focused on what was necessary, he would feel peace and tranquility again. He took in a deep breath and exhaled loudly. He tried to sense the environment around him with his eyes closed. For a brief second, everything flashed in his mind. It was like a blip on a radar. His eyelids tightened as he tried to clear his mind out again.

Focus...

Soon, the environment began to reappear again more slowly. Slowly, the room began to develop in a blue light, the objects becoming more defined as he concentrated harder. Everything felt clearer in his mind. It was a strange feeling to experience again, using the force as his vision. The image still faded in and out, but it was still more consistent to what it was before. He turned his head to the side. He need an object to focus on.

Bit by bit...

Duke - February 12, 2011 09:50 PM (GMT)
Duke pressed a button to open the chamber doors. He walked in not wanting to dsitract Klatu. He sat down and took a seat looking for a force connection between the too as he meditated also. He wanted to slip in some extra training.

Klatu Berada - April 16, 2011 03:49 AM (GMT)
Klatu could feel a presence begin to manifest itself in the room. He soon found a box that he had positioned. He "stared" at it, his hands soon beginning to clench. He rose a hand and stretched it towards it. He gripped it and soon rose it up. However, instead of attempting an action however, he held onto it tightly in the air. He was basically doing a warm up, trying to slowly get a grip on using the abilities at the same time. His hand slowly twisted around, moving the box with it. His vision was constant. This brought about a sense of relief. He twirled his hand around, spinning the box around more quickly.

A grin grew on his face as he suddenly spun around, throwing the box towards the wall. However, as he did, a bright force signature appeared in his vision; it was that of Duke's. He grunted loudly as he opened his eyes and swung his arms to the side, swerving the box off course and past Duke. There was a loud thud as it rebounded off the wall and landed on the ground. It echoed loudly as Klatu stared at the metal box, which left a dent in the wall and was now partially compounded. He looked over towards Duke, raising an eyebrow. He was more or less surprised he entered in so discreetly. Evidently Klatu was more focused on the task at hand than he though.

"Sorry about that," he said. "Got a little bit too into my training. Happens sometimes."

He clapped his hands together as he walked over towards Duke, an awkward grin on his face. He was curious as to why he entered in the first place.

"Can I help you with anything?"

Duke - April 16, 2011 08:44 PM (GMT)
Duke looked down and bowed at Klatu '"I'm sorry, Master. I was just looking to get in some extra training by myself and figured studying some techniques by another Jedi Master would be smart so I walked into the chamber." Duke said curiously "What exactly were you doing"

Klatu Berada - May 15, 2011 07:13 AM (GMT)
Klatu looked over at Duke and smiled nervously. His shoulders shrugged ever so slightly. It was by no means dismissive.

"Just trying to get back into tip-top form. Been out of practice for a while for a lack of better terms. Figured now would be a good time to get back to balancing my abilities."

He grinned as he looked towards the cube he had been practicing with. He slowly brought back up into the air, holding it steady as it ascended into the center of the room. Klatu stared at it momentarily as he looked back towards Duke. He could tell he was a curious one. He hadn't seen him before in the enclave, but he knew that he was around. He had heard his name mentioned once or twice.

"Pardon the dual meaning, but if you mean what I'm doing specifically... I'm just trying to get a better look at the building blocks."

Duke - May 15, 2011 06:13 PM (GMT)
Duke nodded and smiled " I see, By the way my name is Duke, I'm Apprenticed to Master Atake, I figured if you want good training sometime syou have to go out of your way and learn from someone else."

Klatu Berada - May 17, 2011 12:16 AM (GMT)
"Fair reasoning. The only way to maximize your training is find an eclectic mix of people to train you. After all, we all know different techniques."

Klatu smiled as he turned towards the cube again and set it down. He figured it was best to give Duke his attention before continuing. His smile disappeared into a somewhat serious look.

"Just be careful though. Different people can mean a different set of standards... and morals. You'd be surprised at how often the conflict can cause problems."

Klatu sat down on a nearby seat and looked back up towards to Duke.

"I figure you haven't had this problem yet. Thankfully we're fairly respectable of each other with similar ideals, so the odds of that happening are slim to none."

Klatu grinned as he gave Duke a reassuring look.

"Speaking of which, how is training under Master Atake?"

Duke - May 17, 2011 01:31 AM (GMT)
Duke nodded and looked down at the ground thinking of the Master's wisdom as this one seemed more friendly at his own mentor. He then lifted his head back up and said "It's good, My previous abilities have enhanced ot new heights but I feel even though basic come first, the training is slow, and not helping me for combat situations. I was wondering if I could train with you and you teach me techniques in the Force and Lightsaber Combat."

Duke then smirked and said "After all, I've heard stories about you, They say you're a prodigy, a rag to riches story though, and that you've shown to be able to use Force Light, and know Lao Xun or Lao Tzu whatever his name is."

Klatu Berada - May 19, 2011 07:00 AM (GMT)
Klatu smiled as he waved his hand in a politely dismissing manner.

"It's really nothing so big. If anything it was a riches to rag to story," he said with a chuckle. "As for actually being able to use Force Light, I used to know it. To further one of the other points, the fact I knew something like that wasn't because I was a prodigy or anything special like that. I just had a great fascination with the teachings. Out of all honesty, I'd say I was better back then in terms of abilities."

Klatu clasped his hands together tightly, attempting to recollect the memories of his youth. He might have been considered a prodigy by some, but he had never thought of himself that way. He worked hard to try and establish himself in the order. He found a passion to work forward with, although when he looked back at it, he couldn't help but feel he was confusing that passion with misdirection of anger. He didn't know if it was a sense of justice or revenge that drove him to nearly killing the Sith that killed his family. Some of those feelings still lingered with him. He nearly lost it after he was contacted by the informant about his father.

"Still... I'd say the knowledge that's come with my time away from the order was well worth it," Klatu said looking towards Duke. "A piece of advice... abilities are worthless in the end if you don't understand the drive and purpose behind it all."

Duke - May 19, 2011 08:36 PM (GMT)
Duke nodded at the master's wisdom but kind of felt unsatisfied with the Master's humbleness and not as powerful as Duke thought he was. Duke then said "You remind me of myself, Anyway, can you train me for a while, just part-time for this moment. Just looking to learn from other Masters."

Klatu Berada - June 1, 2011 06:10 AM (GMT)
Klatu grinned as he nodded. He stood to his feet and stretched out his arms. Loud pops emitted as his joints realigned themselves. He looked towards Duke with an inquisitive look on his face.

"Is there anything that you're looking to learn in particular?"

He was on his way to recovery, so he felt that there were some abilities that he could effectively teach... assuming Duke wouldn't want to get ahead of himself. It would also work as an effective practice session for himself.

Duke - June 1, 2011 11:57 PM (GMT)
Duke said "Nothing much really, Just some more advanced Force techniques, and a little mroe training with lightsaber combat that can hopefully result in a duel between us at the end of this session."

Duke - June 18, 2011 07:29 PM (GMT)
OOC: Is this topic still alive or should ti be sent to inactives?

Lao - June 18, 2011 07:40 PM (GMT)
OOC: Give him some time and send him a PM lreminding him of it.

Klatu Berada - June 18, 2011 08:16 PM (GMT)
Klatu nodded towards Duke, trying to figure what would be an appropriate power to teach. An idea soon came to mind as a grin grew on his face. He looked towards Duke. He took several steps back, knowing this one would require some distance.

"Alright then... how about I teach you force blast?"

Klatu got himself into a readied position as he stared at Duke.

"The best way to think of it is force push in a more... physical state of form. It's basically the force turning into a state of energy. It can be quite effective when used properly."

Soon, Klatu spun around. He pulled his arms back and shot them forward towards the cube he was using earlier. Soon a blast of energy appear and hit the cube, sending it flying to the wall. There was a loud thud as it rebounded off the wall and toppled back to the ground. He let his arms hang limp as he turned back towards Duke.

"It's a little tricky, but when you learn it, it'll work in your favor. Unlike force push, the opponent will actually feel a fairly great impact from it."

Duke - June 18, 2011 08:26 PM (GMT)
Duke took a soft breath as he got himself in position for the technique, It was new to him but it could come useful during battle, when used with more devastating effects. Putting his hands out in front of him Duke closed his eyes and concetrated.

Keeping his eyes closed he emptied out the blocked barriers of Force Energy he was keeping suppressed during this session with Klatu. When he was little he often heard that true focus lies between rage and serenity. He held out his hands in front of him as blueish white energy started to form in front of him.

His hands glowed with a bright aura as the energy traveled in his palms and fingertips. Thinking in his mind, to materialize the energy, eventually two small balls of blue energy stood in the center of his palm. With his eyes closed, concentrating on the center of the cube and the cube's location, he sent the two palms of energy at the cube as they grew upon being fired. The cube bounced all over the arena as it fell to the ground with steam rising from where it was hit as a small dent was left in the middle of the cube.

Duke opened his eyes and got himself back into standing position as he said "So how did I do?"

Klatu Berada - June 19, 2011 04:28 AM (GMT)
Klatu looked at Duke. One thing was for certain, he was adept at learning things quickly. He walked over to Duke and nodded to himself.

"It's good that you're a fast learner. But keep in mind that learning it quickly isn't good enough. You need to be able to use it in a flash. Take to long, and whoever your fighting will use that break to their advantage. Not to say you should try to rush things in... but that comes with practice. Try it again. I want to see if you can get yourself to generate it faster."

Duke - June 19, 2011 04:31 AM (GMT)
Duke nodded, Klatu was right, Concentrating again with his eyes still open he thought of the balance between rage and serentiy, and true focus. The energy formed in his hands as he then shot it out at the cube with simaltaneous blasts of energy. Eventually a chunk of the cube was gone. He already got the balance part of the technique, All hat he really needed to learn was to do all that in a faster manner.

Klatu Berada - July 1, 2011 12:52 AM (GMT)
Klatu eyed Duke. He was clearly an ambitious individual. In some cases, it could have been considered a dangerous trait. Ambition could take on multiple forms. For some, it meant finding the drive to succeed in life. For others... it meant something a little darker. Sometimes people don't want success... just power. Somehow he couldn't tell what path Duke would take.

"Practice that on your own later. Just try and develop using it faster and then develop the power. I'm curious to see how your melee fighting is. You have a lightsaber already, yes?"

Duke - July 1, 2011 12:57 AM (GMT)
Duke nodded at Klatu's advice, and looked at the circle of thought upon the young Jedi Master's face. Finally he then responded to Klatu and spoke "Yes Master, I have too, both of which have synthetic crystals, and My Lightsaber form is Soresu." Duke activated both lightsabers as their light glared in the prescene of both individuals.
