Five Photogenic Beauties Promote Cosmetics

Five former winners of the Miss Hong Kong pageant's Miss Photogenic award appeared at a promotional event for Covermark cosmetics yesterday, dressed in beautiful evening gowns and adorned with millions of dollars worth of diamonds.

Sonija Kwok (郭羨妮), Anne Heung (向海嵐), Sheila Chan (陳道然), Selena Li (李詩韻) and Shermon Tang (鄧上文) all looked ravishing as they shared their experiences and beauty tips at the event which showcased them as the Hong Kong spokesmodels for the company.

Sonija has finished her run of performances in her stage production The Chinese Hamlet <王子復仇記> and will be heading out to Shanghai today to begin filming for mainland production Eight Immortals Cross The Sea <八仙過海>, where she will be working with Roger Kwok (郭晉安). She laughed that this sponsorship contract with the cosmetics company has come at a good time because she does not have the nourishment from love to keep her looking beautiful.

Sheila commented that she has aged a lot since she took part in the pageant in 1988 and laughed that she is dependent on botox injections to keep herself looking young. She said all her worries has left her with some lines on her face, so she does plan to have them removed in a few months time. Asked if she is still longing to get married, she smiled that she is past it now and she wants to depend on her own means now because women should be independent.

Anne was asked about the recent rumours suggesting that her good friends Ada Choi (蔡少芬) and Monica Chan (陳法蓉) were having a lesbian affair. Anne said that she found the reports very funny and joked that she had wanted to join in with the party too, but Athena Chu (朱茵) beat her to it. On a serious note, she said that she has never suspected anything going on between her friend and they all get along very well, like sisters.

Not much about Shermon, but at least she was there. ^^
