Creating Cats:

The Form:

Need-To-Haves:

Name: Your cat's name (obviously) **please see "naming"**
Clan: Your cat's clan (or loner or rouge)
Rank: What position your cat holds in their Clan. N/A for loners and rouges.
Apprentice/Mentor: Not required for elders and cats with no clan. Post who the mentor or apprentice of your cat is (if they don't have one, put "none").
Gender: male/female
Appearence: What your cat looks like. This must be at least three sentences.
Age: This is your cat's age. Remember that a cat must be at least six moons for an apprentice and 18 moons for warriors. You should not have a cat that is more than 20 years that has not been reduced to but a breathing, furry lump. No cat should live to be more than 25.
RP Example: This is a good example of an RP post with your cat. You only have to do this once.
Code Word: The code word. It's hidden somewhere inside the rules. I'm not giving it to you THAT easily.
Personality:What your cat is like.
History: Was your cat born in it's clan? Be creative!
Picture [optional]: Post a picture of your cat here.

Also, remember that you can only have a maximum of one leader, one depuy, one medicine cat, and one medicine cat apprentice as these positions are limited. However, you can have up to three loners or rouges and as many warriors, apprentices, kits, or elders as you want– but REMEMBER THAT EACH MEMBER can have a maximum of eight cats total. Admins can have up to twelve.


Cat requirments:

§Naming:

•Leader~ Must take the last name "light" (eg- Sparklight)
•Deputy~Must keep their warrior name (eg- Sparksky)
•Medicine Cat~May take any last name (eg- Sparkmoon)
•Medicine Cat Apprentice~Must take the last name "leaf" (eg- Sparkleaf)
•Warrior/Queen~ May take any last name, but keep the first name they were given as a kit (eg- Sparkfur)
•Apprentice~Must take the last name "paw" (eg- Sparkpaw)
•Kit~Must take the last name "kit" (eg- Sparkit)
•Elder~Can keep their warrior name or change it to something else (eg-Losteye)
•Messenger(TreeClan only)~Must take the last name "foot" (e.g- Sparkfoot)
•Messenger's Apprentice~ See apprentice
•Loner/Rouge~May take any name as long as it is not inapropriate.

**Remember- Ask an admin before changing your cats' name or rank!

§Where your cat is allowed to go and its duties:

Leaders:
•Should tell medicine cat or deputy before leaving Clan camp
•Must choose which cats to go to gatherings
•Gives cats their new names (kit-apprentice-warrior-elder)

Greater Deputy:
•Must tell leader before leaving Clan camp.
•Must organize border patrols
•Must come to gatherings with leader and fill in if leader is ill
•Becomes leader if leader dies
•Must have taken an apprentice before becoming a deputy

Lesser Deputy:
•Must tell leader or greater deputy before leaving Clan camp.
•Must organize hunting patrols
•Must come to gatherings with leader and fill in if lesser deputy is ill
•Becomes greater deputy if either greater deputy or leader dies
•Must have taken an apprentice before becoming a deputy
(There are 2 deputies in each clan- One organizes border patrols and takes over for leader when they are not there, the other organizes hunting patrols and does the same for the other deputy.)

Medicine Cats:
•Should only leave Clan camp when collecting herbs or on the half moon or if they are helping another clan.
•Must tend to all injured cats if able unless instructed otherwise by their leader.
• MAY have kits as long as they are not the only medicine cat of that clan

Medicine Cat Apprentice:
•May only leave clan camp wih the medicine cat or another cat above apprentice rank unless told otherwise
•Must learn herbs and basic fighting skills from their mentor
•Must take place of medicine cat if they are ill

**Medicine cats and their apprentices must go to the gatherings
(there can be up to 2 medicine cats in each Clan, each with an
apprentice)

Warriors:
•May leave camp with permission from deputies or leader
•May take an apprentice and train them
•Must obey their leader and deputies

Apprentices:
•Must have an established mentor
•May only leave Clan camp with a warrior or unless instructed otherwise
•Must tend to the elders if they need it or if they are asked

Queens:
•Must stay with her kits unless they are being looked after by another cat, but only temporarily.
•Must keep her warrior name and return to being a warrior after all of her kits become apprentices.

Kits:
•Must stay inside the nursury unless they are with their mother or are being watched by another warrior
•May not leave the Clan camp unless it is an emergency

Elders:
•Should not leave the Clan camp unless it is an emergency
•May ask apprentices to bring them prey or to tend to their ticks.
•Should not live to be more than 23 unless they have basically no memory or senses and are reduced to about a breathing lump.

Messenger(TreeClan only):
•Takes messages to other clans and in between the dens if needed
•Always comes to gatherings
•Sleeps with warriors

Messenger's Apprentice:
•Learns all the skills of the messenger and basic fighting skills
•Sleeps in the apprentices den
•Comes to gatherings

Contests

Contests are just another fun part of this site. They are explained on the N&A board and are open to all members. Contests can be anything from a word puzzle to a writing contest, and winners names are posted up on the main page. Only some contests are open to admins as they are the judges and will often know the answer to the contest.

ShiningClan

In place of StarClan, ShiningClan is simply where dead cats go.
To make one of your cats die, just put its name, clan, and how it died in the ShiningClan joining forms. Like the original joining forms,it has to be accepted befre it can post in ShiningClan. It then does not count as one of your 8 cats. However, you cannot make a cat die within 2 weeks of creating it, and you cannot create a cat that is already dead. You must ask an admin before giving another cat a dream.

Activity Checks!!!

For all of you new to this, an activity check is just something to make sure that all of our members stay active.
It will come in a PM, so don't block private messages!
When you recieve the PM, put links to at least two RP posts you have written within the last eight days in a reply within 6 days of getting it.
Each missed activity check counts as a warning, so if you miss 3 or more you will be deleted or transferred to a no-check account!

If you you're going to be away, make sure that you post in the absences board with when and why so we won't give you a warning for missing a check.

No-Check Accounts

A No-Check account is a special type of account that you can request if you know that you wont be able to reply to most or many of our activity checks. Members may request that they be so (or the other way around if they are a No-Check member) at any time. No-Check members are only allowed two cats at a time, none of which can hold limited positions like med. cats or deputies.

Siggy (signiture) Formats:

Although you are free to do just about whatever you want with your signiture, it must have the following items:

•The names and Clans of all your cats
•A link to your cat bio(s)
**Try to put all of your bios into one post, it makes linking easier

If your sig does not have the requiered info in it, you will get a PM from an admin asking you to change it or we will change it for you.
