Rules|Plot|Contests|Clan Lists
Hi,Everyone!

I'm (kind of) Back! I pretty much have time to work on getting the site up again, and now we can start/continue finalizing the plot! The link above is a topic with links to all plot-related RP topics made so far, but please click Here to see what it's all about and make your own contributions and suggestions.
Right now, we have many delinquent members (including myself) who need to post and get involved again! Please, please, please, start (or contimue) to nag them until their ears fall off! The site must live on!
In other news, I'm planning to redo the site's skin for a fresh new look sort of thing. You've probably noticed the new background; More will follow! I'm going to keep the post backgrounds, though, because they look so darn awesome.
Still on my to-do list to get those rules updated... Maybe it'll actually happen sometime!

Once, long ago, when the Great Willows were but a year old, there were no cats on the earth. Many things crept and crawled on the earth, some were good, some were evil. They fought each other in the moonlight, for the sun had not yet been born. Finally the moon got tired of all the blood turning her beautifully pale beams of light, bright red and dark. The moon rose and pulled her friend the Sea with her, and the tide came up high upon the shore. It swept over everything, banishing the evils of the earth into the dark caves of dark-fire (magma) under the earth, whose dark damp caverns fit there lifestyle just fine. She left only that which was pure and good to bask in her glow. In the willows she deposited one small kit as she let the Sea slide back to its bed. This kit was as silver as the moon, with no dark patches to connect her to the evil that was banished on that day. She was left to help keep peace on earth, for the Moon knew that when the kit was older, the evil would try and rise up, when she herself couldn't watch over everything. The moon watched tenderly over the kit all alone for she lit the land, for in those days there were no dead cats, no Shiningclan, no stars. But the moon was weak from banishing the evil, and those creatures were not yet ready to stay down in the dark. The moment after the kit was born from Moon and Sea, the darkness covered the moon. And the light left the land, and the kit, and her pelt began to turn black and evil. The Ivy saw the small kit's plight and rushed to cover the. It wound up her legs and around her neck and held in the moonlight on the kit until the moon won the battle and shown through the darkness once again. Although the kit was now not as pure, the moon was happy because the kit imitated life and the sky. Dark, with a bit of light and hope. The power to strive and clime towards light, when so many creatures would always be in the shade, as the ivy could was given to the kit. And in honor of the ivy, the moon turned the kit's eyes green for life. And the kit was raised to help the other kits born in the future, not protected from evil, but aware of it and knowing it, and able to fight against it. She became Ivyvine.

Sunburst: Birth of the sun, little bit longer...

Moon loved her daughter very much, but she could only watch over her for half of the time. The rest of the world needed to be looked after as well. So she decided to build herself a helper to watch over Ivyvine when she was away. She wanted this helper to be bright, but there was nothing that had her sparkling luminescence. The closest thing to her glow was the dark-fire underground. Land owned the dark-fire and he guarded it carefully. Only the warmth of the dark-fire reached the roots of the plants. Occasionally, Land would spit out some of the dark-fire when he was angry, but it instantly went out when it reached the cold air and turned to stone. Moon need away to get the dark-fire without Land knowing. She came up with a marvelous plan. She discussed it with her friend Sea, and he agreed to help her.
The next time she rose on the opposite side of the world as her daughter; for she wanted her Ivyvine to be safe from her dangerous plan, she said to Land and Sea, “The sky is so big, I can’t look over all of it at the same time. I want one of you too help me rule it, but I can’t decide who. I’ve decided that whoever can reach up farthest into my domain shall help me rule it.” Land was greedy and was always looking for more territory to control. He looked down on the flat Sea and decided to participate in the contest.
“This will be almost too easy,” he thought to himself. Land first sent up trees, over thirty fox-lengths high. There was no way Sea could beat that, or so he thought. Sea sent a huge title wave sweeping over its surface and on to the land. The wave went even higher than the tippy-top of the trees. Sea let the wave fall and sink back into itself. Land was annoyed at this but thought to himself, “That’s as high as he’ll ever go.” Next he sent up a towering cliff hundreds of fox-lengths high. “Beat that!” he rumbled sarcastically at his opponent. Sea didn’t reply. Instead he sent a gigantic cyclone up into the air. It world around and almost destroyed everything on land, including the cliff, for the cyclone was indeed higher than the cliff, before Sea let it fall. Now Land was really angry. He rumbled and roared and squeezed himself together and pushed himself into the sky as a mountain. The air was thin and colder that the rest of the world, but it had been worth it. Panting, he smiled to himself, there was no way that Sea could get this high. Sea was quiet, and then, began to shrink? Sea seemed to be going lower, not higher. Then, above Sea, a huge grey thunder head grew, saturated with Sea’s salty water. The cloud moved over the mountain and hid Moon from view. Furious and desperate, Land sent dark-fire into the air through the top of his mountain. It went up above the clouds, but unfortunately for Land, he couldn’t see what Moon had been doing. While the clouds hid her she quickly arranged her beams into a net, and when the dark-fire burst thought the clouds as she knew it would, she caught it. The darkness evaporated under the silky light of Moon. Once she had collected a large amount of the now bright-fire, Sea sent rain from his clouds, cooling the dark-fire still spilling out of the volcano. It hardened into rock and blocked up the mountain. The dark-fire in the mountain sunk back down into Land and the sky cleared. Land saw his fire up in Moon’s grasp.
“Congratulations, you’ve one the contest. Only it will not be you who rules with me, it will be your Sun.” With that, Moon breathed life into her ball of bright-fire and it became Sun. The night was now over and she moved to the other side of the world to tell Ivyvine what had occurred, for Ivyvine always loved her stories. Sun lit the sky that it now ruled and was happy and cheerful. He warmed the world and brought new life wherever he shown. Every now and then, Land who is still angry about being tricked sends dark-fire through mountains in an attempt to get back what was his, but he never succeeds.

Finnal myth for the project~ yes I know it is too long, I don't care

Droplets:

Sun and Moon chased each other around sky and life on Earth prospered. The birds sang songs while swirling though the trees. The fish floated through the crystal clear water and danced around reefs. Lizards and snakes sunned themselves on rocks and sand. And Ivyvine grew into a full grown cat.
But she was lonely. There were things with feathers, fins, scales but none with fur. There was no one who could curl up with her in the moon light, no one to bask with her in the sun. She wanted a companion to be with for all eternity. She had the power to give life to the inanimate, just as her mother had created Sun. But she had no idea how to make a friend.
At first she tried to shape the clay on the riverbanks. She built it up, molding the brown mud in her paws. She worked day and night, green eyes fixed on her creation. It stuck under her claws and clogged her fur, but still she continued to work, ignoring it all. The blob took form until it was nearly complete, but it didn’t have eyes yet. She had reserved this task for last. The eyes were the soul of any being and she wanted to make sure that her future companion would be its own creature. However, when she stepped back to figure out how to make the eyes of the statue, Salmon swam up the river as it always did. Salmon splashed in the river, trying to get upstream, and in the process washed away the sculpture. Ivyvine was devastated all her work had been washed away. But she forgave the fish, for that was what it always did.
Next she tried to construct in stone. For days on end she strolled along the beach, gathering small pebbles and rocks, of all different shades and colors. Carefully she picked up each stone in her teeth, and placed it on top of its neighbor. She delicately tapped each pebble into place, until only the eyes were left again. But as she stepped away Lizard came onto the beach. It saw her statuette and saw not an almost creature, but a pile of stones. And being a lizard it knew that the rocks would contain the warmth of Sun and that the heat would make it cozy and snug. It crawled up onto image, and it scattered into thousands of individual pieces. Again Ivyvine was crushed by the loss of her labor, but Lizard was only doing what was natural to it, and she forgave it and moved on.
For a long time Ivyvine could think of nothing else to make her companion out of. She wandered over Land and Sea, searching for anything that she could mold to become like her. But alas, she found nothing. Eventually she returned home. She was thirsty from her travels and went to drink from a quiet pool on an island, not inhabited by any animal. Exhausted from the interruptions from her work, she wanted to be away from creatures that were alien to her. Dipping her head to take a drink, she paused. Staring back at her was a full grown cat. It was already complete and had eyes that peered back with intelligence and understanding. With no other creatures around she began to give life to the reflection. The pool glowed and the figure changed and started to become a being of its own.
But unbeknownst to Ivyvine, Crow had been flying over the island. Attracted by the shine of the pool, the Crow drifted down onto the island. Crow was a bird, and had slightly more sense than the fish and the reptiles. Back then he wore golden and scarlet feathers tall and proud. He saw what Ivyvine was trying to do and got jealous. “Why should she get to create more cats on the earth? One is more than enough,” he cackled to himself in the bush. Then he did a un-crow like thing. He turned around and kicked clay, stones, and sand into the pond. The water sprayed up and the reflection was destroyed. Ivyvine had already given life to the pool and when she glanced up with horror she saw thousands of kits staring back at her in the droplets. As the drops hit the ground, each transformed into a single kit.
Ivyvine whipped around fury shining in her normally calm green eyes. Her fangs jutted out of her mouth and her tail lashed back and forth. “Do you realize what you’ve done?!” She yowled at the smug bird. “You have ruined my last chance for a companion! If you are so determined to bring misery on your own, it shall be your nature. You can eat the rotting flesh of the dead forever, for no animal or plant will ever give their life to feed you.” With that she let out a howl. Crow covered his ears with his golden wings, only to feel the cry soak into his bones like spilled ink on paper. His coat turned jet black, and he grew hunched and secluded. “You shall be the mourner of the friend you deprived me of.” She sprang at the now black Crow and Crow took off soaring on the currents, always to be shunned.
Ivyvine looked back at the kits mewling on the banks of the pond. Some were dark brown like clay, some were grey like stone, some were tan like sand, some were red like the sunlight brought into the pool for life, and some were black like Ivyvine herself. The materials Crow had flung into the pond had gotten into the droplets and changed the color of each infant.
Her rage fell away from her like rain off Duck. Softness and love filled her as she gazed tenderly at her children. For a moment she was happy, and not alone. But as she looked closer, she saw the life she had placed in the pool for one immortal, had also been shattered by the splash. Each kit had only a bit of life and light in it, and Ivyvine realized it meant that they must one day die. She gathered them up and settled around them around her, circling them in a black coat of warmth. “Don’t worry little one, when you have to leave earth, I will send you up into the sky, and my mother will take care of you as I will take care of your children. I promise I will always watch over you, wherever you travel when you grow. But for now, sleep, sleep peacefully on Moon Island. Sweet dreams.” She groomed each kit with her tongue until they dozed off into catnaps. Then she herself drifted off into the peaceful abyss of sleep.
And ever since, Ivyvine has looked after the cats on Earth wherever they roam, and Moon has taken care of the cats when they leave the world from which they were born for the darkness of the sky, which they remember from their first night under Ivyvine’s care.
