A slender, beautiful she-cat sat at the edge of the glittering creek. The waves shimmered the color of bright hawk's beaks. Of course, the water was not actually yellow, but so clear that when a cat looked into its trickles, they saw not only the blue water but also the vivid yellow of the pirate beneath it. The cat watching that very stream was purring softly. Many cats in EmberClan took the shimmering yellow rock for granted, but she loved it. It might look a little fake, a little tawdry, to others, with it's twoleg-sign-yellow glow, but she respected, almost honored its beautiful shine, like the pelt of a strong and respected LionClan warrior, or even the glow of a ShiningClan cat. The deputy dipped a foot in the creek, claws sheathed completely, to show the stream she meant it no harm. Then, she urged a peice of pirite into her marbled paw (white with whirls of black, like swirls of chocolate sauce in vanilla ice cream). The rock felt almost the same as the water as it rocked back and forth, left and right, even though the current was only going right. She peered into the rock. She could almost imagine that ShiningClan was sending some of it's light through this stream, through all the pirate shards. Suddenly, she felt the light blaze into her palm, then the pirite dulled back to its original glitter. Then, the rock blazed with vivid light again. The EmberClan deputy suddednly tensed as realization dawned. ShiningClan was trying to send her a message through the pirite! And...the message was in morse code! Of course. She was the only member of her clan who could comprehend the code, so this is why the message hadn't been sent via a Medicine Cat. Let's see...this light stayed for two seconds...dulled...one second...one second must be short, two long! Her white-and-black ears tensed as she translated.
"Doom coming. Beware the tribe of rings. The tribe of rings and feathers."
