Definitions of and Rules by Race

    Humans

If you really need a definition, let me know...

    As for rules:

  • Humans may try to tame members of the other species, but this must be played out from start to finish! (will be discussed later!)
  • Humans may develop their own cities from scratch. This will be the responsibility of the ruler.
  • Humans may develop their own government and technologies, with time (and the Divinities' approval, of course!).
  • Humans may kidnap children and/or women, but this must be played out, and a ransom note must be left.
  • Contact either of the owners if you kidnap someone so that you may arrange for a "hideout".
  • No super-powerful magi or warriors!

    Horses

Horses may join as any breed/age/etc, so long as it is logical.

    Rules:

  • The first to claim a land in any of the alignments may preside as the ruler. (this applies to both mares and stallions!)
  • "Steals" must be played out. This will be an act of cleverness and speed, rather than riddles (as has been done on other sites). The reason for this is that logically, horses don't "riddle me this" to steal anything.
  • No 'smiling' or anything of the sort! Please stay logical!
  • Do not complain if you are caught in a Human 'round-up', as you should have expected this possibility when joining.
  • Obey the announcements for breeding season!
  • Multiple stallions are allowed in each herd, unless the Leads specify otherwise.

    Wolf

Wolves obey the traditional pack structure, and may occasionally venture into other species' lands to go hunting, or they may go to the hunting grounds made specifically for the purpose.

    Rules:

  • Wolves must always have an Alpha, but the pack structure from there may be left up to each pack's Alpha.
  • Like the horses, please do not complain about "round-ups".
  • Wolves may not "steal", but may challenge for a female they find attractive. Once again, obey the rules specified for challenging.
  • Wolves can challenge the Alphas any time they show any sign of weakness, as this would occur during normal pack life. These challenges should not end in death, but more or less a change in rank.

    Cat

Cats have no land nor alignment, which was fully intentional. They wander about the lands, picking and choosing what they want to do, what they want to be, etc.

    Rules:

  • You may wander about any land of any species you wish, provided that it would be logical that your breed would be there.
  • The term 'cat' is not referring to the average house-cat, so please don't join one if that is your result!
  • Enjoy yourself, you have the most free-spirited of the races!
  • If there is a group concensus for unification, the Cats may attempt to claim another species' land (this may be from any other species!).

    Mythical

Myths are the most complex creatures to join, hence them being the rarest of them all. To join a myth, you must have an administrator's permission and a fair knowledge of the creature you're joining. Myths may be angels, werewolves, winged cats, unicorns, pegasi, elves, centaurs, minotaurs, hippocampi, and the like. Be creative with your myths!

    For the rules:

  • Restating the above, myths may not be joined unless administrative permission is given!
However, an exception to this policy may exist, depending on one's joining quiz results!
  • Myths may pick their social structure, and may even compete with the mortals for their lands, population, etc.
  • Do not even attempt to join a God/Goddess, or any other supreme being, as it will promptly be rejected!
  • An interesting concept: Myths, though generally excluded from the Human societies, may come to be "paired" with a Human from time to time. "Pairing" is a strong bond between a myth and a Human that forever links the two, both in friendship and ability-wise.
IE: A human "pairs" with a myth that controls water; they receive increased control in their water magics.

    Definitions

    Round-up
Human attempting to capture a member of another species. Both parties must participate in this from beginning to end.
    Tips:
  • If you're being 'rounded-up', don't just give in! Give it everything you've got, and you might get away!
  • If you're 'rounding-up', do everything you can to keep the one you're capturing from getting away!
  • Let the moderators know if you have any problems.

    Pairing
One Human and one (or more, in special cases) Mythical(s) forming a unique bond. This will generally empower the Human that 'pairs' with special traits, such as telepathy in order to communicate with their mythical companion.
    Tips:
  • Humans, don't seek out the mythicals to pair with, let them come to you!

    Steal
Stealing only applies to Horses, who can sometimes raid another herd's lands in order to claim a mare they want. There is a difference between the way this is done on Saoirse Eas than other sites. There will be no riddles for this here, it must be done in role-play only, thus meaning that it is a test of speed and accuracy, for if the stallion catches the steal in process, he will most likely not be a happy camper!
    Tips:
  • Be very careful who you steal from!

    Kidnap
Kidnapping is the Human form of "Stealing". The only difference between the two is that Humans can take their victim to a special board for this, where it will be password locked. They must leave a riddled ransom note upon the kidnapping, which must be approved by an administrator.

    Deity Worship
There will be approximately three deities hovering about this site, each of whom the Humans of each city may choose to try and gain the favor of. There are obvious advantages to getting a divinity's favor, such as random blessings like prosperity, or curses upon enemies.
    Tips:
  • Be very careful when choosing a deity to worship, as each will be different!
