Appearance: She stands about 5’7” with light brown hair that falls to the middle of her back in length. Her skin is tanned to a golden color and she has light brown eyes. She’s skinny, with well-toned muscles and lightly rounded curves. Her face is slightly angular, with high set cheekbones giving her a slightly Native American look.
When she’s Melanie she wears pair of black pants and pale blue scoop neck sweater over a white button up dress shirt. Her hair is worn up in a bun or a pony tail. She also wears a pair of small reading glasses with thin gold wire frames and oval-shaped lenses.
When she’s Lillith she wears a pair of loose-fitting, drawstring style, black cotton pants and a black, kimono-like top with wide belt that stretches from her bust-line to the top of her hips. Her hair is usually free from any ties or pulled into a loose ponytail at the base of her neck.

Personality: Melanie’s personality is much like that of a scientist. She’s smart and focused and calm. She’s also very shy. When she has a project she remains level-headed and double-checks everything just to be certain she’s right. She’s timid around people but pleasant and sweet with very few if any outbursts of any kind of emotion other than determination or joy when she completes a project that she’s been assigned to. She is oblivious to the “Lillith” personality believing her to be a different person entirely.

Lillith is the alter-ego of Melanie. She believes that brute force an acceptable method of attaining one’s goals and will go to great lengths to ensure that she completes a mission. She works in a method that if she’s not getting anything out of the deal, she’s not likely to give 100% of effort to complete a mission. She has a strait-forward manner of talking and acting and is strong and confident enough to hang with the guys and be accepted as one of them. She knows that Melanie is her other side but when she’s on a mission she knows that side of her personality will remain dormant until the mission’s completed. She doesn’t care what kind of missions she’s sent on because she cares little for other people or what anyone thinks of her.

Goals: Melanie’s life goal is to ensure that the empire Beams created remains the head of power. She works for the ideal of his empire and for him directly.
Lillith works missions with the rest of the Goliath unit. Her main goal is profit and self gratification. She doesn’t care about Roger Beams, his cause, or his empire as long as she gets whatever she wants in the end.

History: Melanie, born Melanie Lillian Summerset, grew up in a suburb with a normal childhood and school life. She became highly skilled in science and biology in school and most always got strait A’s.
She was quiet and content with her life until she was fourteen when her father had a nervous breakdown with the start of Beams movement and the impending approach of the Purging. He snapped, and shot her in through the shoulder, than brutally murdered her mother and than shot himself while Melanie lay bleeding and terrified. A concerned neighbor called the police, while Melanie slipped inside her own mind during her recovery.
As the only survivor and witness to the brutal murder/suicide she developed a separate personality to protect herself from the trauma of that event. She ran away from the foster home she was placed in and lived on the streets, finding refuge during the chaos that came shortly before the Purging, two years after the death of her parents. After the Purging the other personality became more developed, becoming known as “Lillian”, taking over and appearing whenever Melanie felt threatened or endangered. Melanie would lose stretches of time, without realizing that her alter-ego had taken control.

Shortly after the Purging, Melanie found herself a prisoner or war. Beams took interest in some of the prisoners, selecting the strongest ones for experiments in an attempt to program the minds of the subjects to do his bidding without complaint.
When it was discovered that Melanie had a split personality, the personality of “Lillian” was brought to the surface frequently, training her to be a soldier and working for Beams. She was soon admitted to the Goliath unit, and givien the name Lillith, surfacing only for missions or when Melanie wasn’t needed.
When the “Melanie” personality surfaced it was decided that she’d do best in a lab and got to work training her as a scientist, reverse-engineering and developing technology, as well as integrating pre-Purging computer systems with the newer upgraded systems. She was given the new identity of Melanie Lillith Summers.
Melanie slowly became one of the top scientists. After a while she began working for Beams in a more direct way, receiving her orders from him.
Melanie has no conscious recollection of the death of her parents. Most of those memories are locked in her sub-conscious. She knows that she was shot but she believes it was sometime during the Purging.
