(Role Play 101 and Advanced Role Play class members both welcome. This will cover your class role play points for February and March. You must have 6 posts for RP101 and 12 posts for Advanced RP. Please make sure you have a character profile before you post here. This role play will run until April so jump on in. Keep in mind time period.. it is not March in this Role Play.)

Rilla hurried to peek out her dorm window. It looked cold outside, you knew it was cold when you could just look outside.. and know. It was early February, the start of spring term. Winter break as always had been uneventful for Rilla. She spent it with her mother, as always, did homework, and was nagged at. Rilla was almost 17, almost a full fledged witch. Shouldn't her mother get off her case by now? Rilla mused to herself as she hurried to put on her Hufflepuff uniform. She slipped on a name tag that indicated she was a Student Teacher in Hufflepuff, 6th year, and of course that her name was Rilla White. Rilla looked at her name bag, a bit dusty from being in her trunk and thought about the change that would happen next year. 7th year.

Walking down to her classroom Rilla wondered what this term would be like. Last term she had had a very small class. This had it's advantages and disadvantages. This term, she seemed to have more first years. At 5' Rilla was now at her full grown height, and the same height as most the 11 and 12 year olds. However, this didn't bother Rilla anymore.. she was becoming use to looking younger then she was. She was use to being mistaken for a first year. Just before break a third year had shoved her and told her to "get outta the way firstie!" She had given them detention, through laughter.

Remembering this advent Rilla chuckled to herself and unlocked her classroom door. As always, Rilla was on the bottom floor of the building, the one right above the dungeons. The room she was alotted was not very large, but it was plenty for Rilla's purposes. She had a fairly large walkin closet that had become her office. Rilla had tidied all of this up a day or two prior and was now ready to start. Thinking ahead, she had shoved breakfast, a pastry and termos of tea, into her bag the night before. Now she pulled these out and ate her breakfast as she prepared for the class.

Looking to the board she wrote:

Welcome Back Advanced Role Play Students! Welcome Role Play 101 Students. Please sign in on the signup sheet floating around and have a seat anywhere you like. Be prepared for a handson first lesson!

Then she charmed an endless piece of parchment to float around the room. This always amused the first years who were not all use to seeing things float around the room. Everything ready, she stacked some papers on her desk and sat back to finish her breakfast.

Rilla's classes were combined now for the ease of all parties and due to their small size. This meant her new students and her old students could work together. It also meant her class went from 8 am until 10 am instead of the usual hour class. Not that Rilla planned to use two hours everyday, but it was nice to have. Rilla did her usual pondering as she watched the door for her arrivals, it was now 7:40 so she figured she'd have a bit to wait.

(Keep in mind character as you play. If you are muggleborn, you know very little about the wizarding world. We're not all Hermione, very few witches and wizards would have the foresight to find a million books beforehand, nor would most even know in time to gather much info. Think of Harry, he did not have much warning, he came knowing nothing. Most muggleborns will be this way. Also keep in mind this is HOL not Hogwarts. It is set up much the same, but we have none of the same Professors or ghosts. Have fun with this, use your first posts to give us an idea of your character. This is worth 60 points for both months, so give me that kind of effort.)

Belle, punctual as always, strolled down the hall towards her Role Play class. She knew she was going to be one of the first to arrive. She liked arriving early to Role Play class. It gave her a few minutes to tease Rilla- one of her favorite past times.

Belle entered the class and glanced around. No one was there except for Rilla who was eating breakfast and preparing the directions and sign in sheet. "Rilla- my Rilla!" Belle called out to her, "How are you? How was your break? What is that? Are you eating again in class? You should give yourself detention! ha ha!" Belle laughed at her own cheesy joke- the same joke she used every term which honestly, was no longer funny. Rilla was normally a real stickler when it came to NOT eating in class, yet Belle always caught her eating breakfast. This is why Belle liked to arrive early.

Belle acciod the sign in sheet towards her seat in the back and signed the sheet. She then made it roll up again like a scroll and set it out to float around the room again. She took out her notebook from her bag, which was really more for show than for actual notes and sat innocently in her chair waiting for the other students to arrive.

Tiffany shuffled into her class. Pushing back a strand of hair that had fallen out of her ponytail, she walked across the room. This was the first class that she would be going to, and needless to say she was nervous. Already the professor and another student were there. "Hello," she said smiling shyly to them. She hoisted her bag over her shoulder and found a seat. Dropping her bag under the desk, she shivered and held her jacket closed while she sat down. It was then that Tiffany noticed writing on the board. She read and her forehead creased with confusion. Parchment? What parchment? She gasped as she saw a parchment float by her head. Shakily she reached out and signed her name. At least this lesson would be hands on. Tiffany began to wonder when the other students would begin to arrive. It was beginning to feel awkward with just her, the older student, and the professor.

It would be strange being in class this term, Aylarah thought, brushing her hair as she wondered about her dorm. She was no longer going to be one of the new roleplayers, as this term she had joined the Advanced Role Play class. Although she had worked with Barbara and Belle the previous term, it still felt strange to be in the same class as them - she felt like she still had a long way to go before she reached either of their levels of expertise in the subject.

Placing the brush down on the bed and checking her bag one last time (removing her cat Jacob from it in the process), Aylarah decided she was probably as ready for this as she was ever going to be. She didn't know why she was so nervous! Taking a few deep breaths to calm herself, she walked out of her dormroom and headed towards the Great Hall.

After a slightly indulgent breakfast of pan au chocolat and a hazelnut latte (Aylarah mentally thanked the house elfs everyday for starting to serve different varieties of coffee at breakfast time), Aylarah made her way towards the classroom, wondering who was going to be there.

She remembered her first day of class way back in September. There had been quite a lot of students taking both Roleplay 101 and Advanced Role Play, people from all houses and all ages. She had been quite shy at first, but on that first day lots of people had made her feel welcome and the shyness had soon dissapeared. Unfortunatly, so had most of the students. Aylarah frowned as she remembered the wave of dragon pox that had swept through the school, causing all of the students and even Rilla for a few months to be absent from class. That had left only three of them.

Pushing open the door, Aylarah smiled wryly to see that she was only the fourth person in the room.

"Morning Rilla, Belle." She smiled at the other girl before reading what was written on the board. Nodding slightly to herself, she plucked the parchment out of the air as it floated past and walked towards a seat by the window. Writing her name on the parchment, Aylarah realised that she seemed to pick a window seat whenever she could. She supposed that it reminded her of her days at the manor during the summer, when she spent most of her time reading outside. It would also give her something nice to look at on the very rare occasions that she dozed off slightly.

Releasing the parchment into the air again, Aylarah shifted in her seat so she could see the other three occupants of the room. "So," she began cheerfully, "Are we expecting many people this term? Oh," She turned to face the girl who she didn't recognise, "I'm Aylarah by the way."

Belle smiled as the new student said hello to her. She always liked meeting new people, but it took some time for her to talk to others, especially if they were from another house. This was something Belle didn't like about herself. She wanted to branch out beyond Hufflepuff, but she felt most comfortable with her huffies. She had to admit she had gotten better though as she got older. She now had a couple of friends from other houses.

Soon after Aylarah came into the room. She knew Aylarah from last term. They had spent a lot of time together because they were one of the only ones to not get sick and have to miss class. "Hey Aylarah. How were your holidays? So you're an advanced student now. Congrats. Do you know if Barbara is still in the class? I haven't seen her for awhile. I heard that she was kidnapped. Do you know anything about that?" Neither Aylarah or Barbara were Hufflepuffs. These were some of the new friends Belle now had. She was hoping to meet a few others this term.

Charity walked into the room nervously. This was her second term, but she was very shy and still didn't know many people. She noticed some people were here already, greeting each other. Charity ducked her head down, and hoped no one would notice her.

Something flew by Charity's head, and she looked up to see what it was. What looked like an aged piece of paper was floating in the air above her head. She looked around, to see if there was anything to explain why there was a piece of paper floating above her. There was some writing on the board, which told it's readers to sign in on the signup sheet floating around. Charity raised her hand, and caught the piece of paper cautiously. Now Charity recognized the piece of paper as parchment, and she wrote her name on it, then let it go. Charity shook her head, swearing she would never get used to magic.

The board also told everyone to sit wherever they wanted, so Charity took an open seat near the front of the classroom. Charity liked front seats, so she could see the board and the teacher easily. Charity put all her stuff under her desk, and waited patiently for the class to begin.

"Oh, my holidays were alright I suppose." Aylarah replied to Belle's question. "But I think the party was probably the highlight. My aunt was too busy to have me home, or I think she was at least. Her last letter was a little vague. How was your break?"

It had started Aylarah wondering whether something was wrong back at home. Elsbeth had never really requested that she stay in the castle during the holidays before. It wasn't as if there was too little space back at the manor. If she wanted to, Aylarah could spend the entire holidays there without ever having to see her aunt, and vice versa. But for some reason, even that wasn't allowed this time. She had wondered what was going on, but put it down to being one of Elsbeth's peculiar quirks.

"Oh I did hear about Barbara being kidnapped! But I think it turned out to be some of the older students, who are claiming to have been put under the imperius by the head girl. To be honest, whilst I missed her, I couldn't really keep up with what was going on so tried to put it out of my mind." She laughed nervously. "She should be in class though I think."

There was a creaking noise and Aylarah turned around to watch as a girl entered the room and walked to a seat at the front. She didn't really know the girl, but was sure she had seen her around the school sometimes.

"Hello," She called out to the newcomer. "You're Charity, aren't you? How was your Christmas?"

"Well, that's a relief about Barbara" Belle answered "I too had heard rumors that a bunch of people were being kidnapped, but I wasn't paying too much attention because I was busy. However, then my best friend Felicia disappeared and that's when I couldn't concentrate on anything. I was so lost without her. It did turn out to be a couple of older students, including a fellow Hufflepuff, playing a prank."

belle thought back to the days without her friend. It really had been a sad time. Fortunately, she and Felicia had other means of communicating so she knew her friend was ok.

At this point a girl walked in and sat towards the front. Aylarah seemed to know her because she started to talk to her. It sounded like her name was Charity and Belle gave her a smile as she waited for her response.

Charity turned to the sound of some one calling to her. A girl who looked a little older than her was looking at her, and asked her how her Christmas was. She thought back to what she did during the the break, and decided it wasn't that interesting. She decided to stay at school for the break, for a nice quiet Christmas and read by the fire.

"It was good," Charity replied. Not bothering to bore the girl with the details of all the books she read during the break. "How was your Christmas?" Charity asked, more out of politeness then really wanting to know what she did. Though it was nice to talk to someone, she kept to herself so much during the break it got kind of lonely. She just couldn't bring herself to introduce herself to anyone.
