I love Scorsese's use of music in his films, sometimes he chooses a really cheesy or happy tune but puts it in a scene of violence , torture or black humor. I hadn't really heard most of the music until I saw Goodfellas but now whenever I hear the tunes on the radio I always think of the movie. For me, "My Way"=Joe Pesci firing that gun right into the audience. "Layla"=the dead bodies in the Cadillac and the meat truck and "Jump into the Fire"=Henry driving round totally wasted trying to avoid the helicopter! Anyone else agree?

yea its a great contrast having that sort of music in a violent scene like goodfellas, i love the score used at the beggining in goodfellas, where Ray Liota starts saying "i always wanted to be a gangster", and then the music hits in with the trumpets :) brilliant

i really want to get that song :)

aww the music is ace in this movie, the sort of songs that you end up singing/humming to yourself randomly. Great choice and it fit the movie perfectly, i love the music to the bit in the bar and Jimmy is looking evily at Morrie *dunna da dun dun dun DUNNA da dun dun dun* oh whatever it sounds abit like that anyway! :P
