Monster's Name:
It goes by many names over the years but one name that is always used is Gary or Tall Man or Mr. Black

Description:
Gary aka Tall Man is 7 ft tall. It's limbs are incredibly long with an average sized torso and head. It has no fingernails and in fact it's fingers appear to have five joints within them. Gary is dressed in a black tuxedo much like you would imagine on a government agent. It seemed it has no hair and instead wears a black hat on it's head much like 20's gangsters use to wear. Gary's other limbs like it's fingers have extra joints giving it a long and unusual gait yet every move it makes is very graceful and fluent. Gary wears a white mask over it's face, there are no eye holes on the mask only a mouth much like the theatrical theatre mask which changes emotions from angry, sad, and happy. Despite the mouth moving it is not real. Under the mask Gary has no face only a blank canvas of flesh where a face should be. Some wonder how Gary can see and with no ears on it's head wonder how it can hear. In fact under Gary's shirt you will find one eye in the center of his chest and another found between his shoulder blades in the back. Between his ribcage is a mouth that seems to seal shut until Gary finds something to eat. The mouth will open into a large hole with no tongue and a tunnel of teeth. It appears it has no throat and all things eaten by the creature goes directly into the stomach. Aside from the rather odd features Gary looks fairly human.

Functions:
This upright humanoid is a confusing creature. Though many refer to him as male he has no gender to speak of and is about as anatomically correct as a Ken doll. Others consider Gary both disturbing and comforting. To understand this mixed emotion one must know his origins. Gary or Mr. Black was invented first as an imaginary friend to a lonely child with a suffering mind. Gary was created to be a friend who always listened and protected the children or child who created it but due to the little child's rather disturbed mind he took on a twisted human form. When Gary's original creature died of old age and he was no longer needed Gary took on a life of his own and searched Silent Hill for a friend, some say children who mysteriously vanished were taken by Gary to his 'world' so he could have his friends. Normally Gary is drawn to children who are alone and sad and will cling to them until they die both being a friend to them and as they grow older driving them to insanity. Gary seems like a sweetheart however this is not always so. Over the years and the slow corruption of Silent Hill Gary has become a dangerous creature. Though he is still empathetic to his 'children' he is rather violent to others and those who he feels are trying to hurt his 'children.' He is incredibly fast and emits an elk like scream when angered. He will chase you down and with one bite swallow you whole. Gary normally is never found outside, some day he likes stale air or maybe prefers the dark. In larger rooms he will stand straight up with flawless posture and arms behind his back though most rooms are too small for him so he is forced to crouch over as he walks. When chasing people down he will crawl in a spider fashion after you with the ability to climb up walls.
