It was the year 2010. The Government had fallen. An elite secret organization infiltrated every level of society and destroyed each government from within. They call themselves the Aeuitas Equitas or The AE. They gave the people "freedom" from the government's ruling hand and destroyed the law.

Crime and corruption rule the city. There can be no justice where there is no law. Among the chaos, Brisbane has settled into some semblance of normalcy. People learned to look away from the corruption and keep quiet; because in this town the brave end up dead. Safety is a thing of the past in this hell.

But there are those who still fight; they are known as The Service. Tired of living in corruption, these are the people who try to bring order by destroying the AE. Though not at all Heroes, they're fed up with living under the AE.

On the streets of Brisbane a silent war is taking place. Everyone knows about the two sides, but no one knows who the members are neither side is free from corruption. Who will reign in...

the Reclamation

Will You?

When Jay claimed her lips arduously, a small, satisfied noise escaped her grasp, and she felt herself smiling around his kiss. And as his hands explored her red-hued locks, she felt her body tingle with such an alluring dizziness accompanying it. The sensation only ended as the kiss did, and she reopened her eyes. His whispered response earned a laugh from her, colored with a desirous undertone, as she felt his hand pressed her body against his, her lower back his leverage point. There was no need for her to refuse; Aaralyn already was relying on him to support her thin frame, overwhelmed by the experience so far.

The vixen was intoxicated by his fragrance, his smile, the press of his lips. She felt him shake slightly, his eyes glancing to the cameras located easily within the elevator. His impatience and exasperation at their lack of privacy was clear on his expression. When Jay returned his attention back to her, a coy smile awaited his lips. With ease she matched him tit for tat. She slid her tongue against his for a moment of velvet seduction, and then another chime.

A frustrated sigh betrayed her attitude, surprised that Jay’s hand caught hers, with him leading her down the hall. Aaralyn flicked glances up to the dark-haired man, her body thrumming with the electric shock of lust. Not being granted a grand tour of his suite, she was pressed against the door the moment both of them were inside. It was her turn now to break off his embrace, pulling her lips from his only moments after he pressed her against the closed door.

A sly glance was given to Jay as her blue eyes met his, and she casually kicked off her ivory-lace heels. After her shoes were removed from the picture, Aaralyn swiftly removed her mask, another blush flooding her porcelain, freckled cheeks. It wasn’t sequestered to her cheeks, the delicate color sweeping across her face and down her exposed neck. A ragged breath rattled in her lungs as she let her hands travel down his chest, unbuttoning one, two, three of the ambiguous buttons.

Her body was invaded by his presence, and she could feel him against every inch of her available. She could see the details of his eyes even in this dim lighting. After a moment of quiet, her lips found his throat, leaving hot kisses down the line of his jaw, and the tender skin of his neck. Her whispered words would be felt on his flesh.

”You ready to play this game, then, Jay?”

Jay tried to steady his ragged breathing, which proved to be difficult with her so close. He shivered at the feel of her lips, shocked by how her warm breath heated his body with fire. His lips eagerly pursued her as she abruptly ended the kiss, unable to quiet the soft groan of desire. He steadied himself however, stopping his pursuit before he made a fool of himself; but he didn’t pull his weight from her.

Enthralled, he watched her heels be discarded and her mask fall away. His ragged breathing calmed as his breath caught in his throat. He hadn’t known what to expect under her mask of mystery, but he wasn’t disappointed. Her freckled skin made her look youthful, bringing a charmed smile to his lips. No man could ever be disappointed by her beauty.

With the soft smile still on his lips, he rest his hands over the blush that crept up her neck. His thumbs caressed her features; her jaw line, the edge of her lip. He looked into her eyes, searching for whatever emotions lay in the ocean depths. All his earlier impatience was bridled carefully now, taking his time now that he had her complete attention.

Guiding her face, he brushed his lips across her skin, tracing the dabble of freckles. Once on her cheek, the tip of her nose, and finally the other cheek. He smiled a bit, whispering his words in a husky voice.

“If you are, Miss Aaralyn.”

His lips found hers again, seeking everything she had to offer. Jay slid his fingertips down her neck and over her bare shoulder. Without ending the kiss, his fingers searched for the zipper that held the dress in place.

It was something new for her to be touched softly. To have a man take his time and not rush the experience. Even with Derek, she had brushed past all the tender embraces, roughly pushing him about and demanding. Aaralyn was a woman who hadn’t been exposed to the evocative caresses a woman deserved. Sure, she had been shown what a lover was, but her conditioning was one for harsh play that was quick and easy. With her body trapped between Jay and the door, she sighed as his kisses crossed the landscape of her face. She closed her eyes and tried not to feel something flutter inside her chest when she only saw Jay’s easy smile. She felt her hands stop their eager searching, her lungs stilled. The sensation was enthralling and heart-stopping. If she had been exposed to this earlier, she was positive she would’ve fallen in love much more easily. Such caresses were a dangerously lovely thing to be felt.

The warmth touch of his lips to the delicate, fragile skin of her face was a novelty amidst all this longing and desire. A shiver flowed through her body, leaving her skin a mess of tangled nerves and gooseflesh. She flushed again as she reopened her eyes to his voice, deeper and rougher. The wanting she heard in his tone made her eyes dilate, and her fingers held onto his shoulders.

She needed no words to express what she was experiencing. With Jay’s hands sliding over her bare shoulders and his lips coaxing her inner flame to a roar, Aaralyn finished unbuttoning his shirt. She leaned her head back, breaking away for a gasp of air, and pushing his shirt from his shoulders.

Bright blue eyes radiated within the dulled lights, and her fingers explored his chest slowly, her eyes never leaving his. The woman could feel the intensity smothering her breath, and wondered why she hadn’t longed for this before. The fluttering only worsened as she followed his arms back to her body, she left kisses along his exposed flesh. After a delicious moment of her silence, she murmured softly a short sentence, and tenderly pushed her body from the door.

”There’s no easy way out of this dress. I had to lace it up…”

She smiled wickedly, feeling a hot flash of regret when she left his arms to turn pulling her hair to one side. A sly glance was given to Jay from over her shoulder as she showed him the deep green lacing her dress flaunted. Her black tattooed wings were dominant on her pale flesh, her entire back exposed through the satin ribbon, which kept the emerald green material on her body.

”Will you do the honors?” She asked lowly, letting her shoulder-length hair fall back into place.

Aaralyn yearned for the feel of his hands roaming over the bare skin of her back. To feel the heat of his body cover hers and mask her every pain. Suddenly, irreversibly, the woman felt too hazardously close to becoming attached. Who could deny any relationship with a man who made her stop and enjoy this? A tremble overtook her shoulders, and she sighed, waiting.

A soft laugh was quarantined in his throat as he heard her soft sigh. He savored her reactions, committing them to memory. There was something so endearing about the sounds women made during the early hours of lust. He closed his eyes, severing one sense to make himself more dependent on his other senses. It worked like a charm; her skin feeling more delicate under his questing fingertips. Against his chest he could feel the rhythm of her breathing.

Gladly he shrugged off his shirt, letting the cool air of the apartment cool his flushed skin. It was a merciful blessing, clearing his mind a bit. For a moment he slowed his own progress, enjoying the feel of her wandering fingertips. He exhaled slowly, his breath shaky against her skin.

Reluctantly he relinquished her from his arms, taking a half step back to allow her free from the door. He couldn’t help but shiver as his looked over the cream of her skin matched against the emerald of her dress.

His fingertips reached out, brushing a few strands of lingering red hair from her back. The tattoo held his gaze and his finger traced the black lines for a moment, curious about the new mystery. Smiling more, he trailed his fingers down her exposed spine; only a whisper of a touch against her skin. Jay leaned his head down, placing a tender kiss on her shoulder as his fingers found satin.

“Oui, mon ange mystérieux.”

Jay crooned softly in her ear, whispering the French words easily without a thought. He pulled on the satin tie, loosening the ties of her dress with careful control. His fingers slipped her the ribbon, brushing against her skin as he pulled the tie loose of its hold. Then with a devious smirk, he trailed his hands down her arm and entwined with her fingers.

“How rude of me, I’ll give you the tour I promised.”

He muttered in her ear, placing an affectionate kiss by her ear. Then leading her further into the suite; as if all previous seductions had been forgotten.

His eyes roamed the tasteful front room, comfortably decorated with a sitting area and desk. Jay took his time leading her through the suite, commenting ideally on trivial aspect of the room. In truth it was all insignificant; just another part of his game.

With a stilted breath she closed her eyes as his fingertips brushed over her skin. The dizzying effect of his touch made her both eager and languorous. She wondered what his expression was as he viewed her back, as one finger trailed down her spine. A shiver of pleasure was awarded to him as he touched her. Aaralyn could feel the heat of another blush overcome her face, and she was almost sure he knew the effect he had. And when he pressed his lips against her shoulder, she involuntarily leaned her head back, wishing the contact were more.

Jay’s voice commanded her complete attention as he whispered gently in her ear. The foreign words making her wish to hear him speak her name, to lure her into a world of mystery and seduction. Oh wait, wasn’t she already there?

As the cool air spread through the new spaces between her dress and her skin, she grinned, knowing what to expect next. Only to be met with a slight frown as she felt the familiar ribbon being pressed into her hand, Jay’s own following not long after lingering on her arm. His words made her gasp quietly as he led her from the front room. It was only a moment she took to recover, realizing that he was playing the game. With her own dress ribbon in her hand, and holding his, also, she smiled coyly, listening and nodding as he went about his suite, flaunting and picking out miniscule details for her.

Aaralyn patiently followed him, her eyes never leaving his face, steadily watching him, quite aware that the only contact they shared were their entwined fingers. As Jay teasingly led her in the front room, and then through the master bedroom and finally the bathroom, she smiled, silence as she remembered his whispered words in a foreign tongue. Normally she would become frustrated with this drawn-out game, but instead, she enjoyed it, feeling quite infatuated. If this man was so elaborate in this game, she was curious if he applied such attention to his everyday life.

When he finished speaking about the unimportant bathroom, Aaralyn moved closer within his arms, brushing her lips over the line of his jaw. She lifted herself on her toes, whispering into his ear, her own voice husky with this flirtatious match.

”What a lovely room… shall I bid you good night now?”

She pulled away from him, disconnecting even their hands. She grinned and wrapped the ribbon gracefully around her palm, tightening the dress subtly. Her eyes were playful as she moved backwards into the bedroom.

”I think you’re quite safe up here from those dastardly sharks of women. Adieu…” She said, smiling as she turned about and walked slowly towards the door he had pressed her against so tenderly. She hoped as she crossed the bedroom slowly that he’d understand her jest, praying he would capture her before she would have to turn the knob. She could feel his remembered hands on her neck, the alluring skin of his lips gracing her skin. Oh, it would be a shame if he allowed her to walk from his suite without even a goodbye kiss…

Jay almost groaned with she walked away from him. It was too much to watch her lithe figure saunter away without a care for him. His eyes followed the ribbon from her palm up to where it tied on her back, settling on her black wings. Could he let this angel fly from his life to rejoin the perfection of the cloud dwelling life? No, most certainly not. She would be his most earthly possession. At least for tonight.

But still, he was never one to give the illusion of being won so easily; so he let her go un-pursued from the bathroom. He took the opportunity to kick off his dress shoes, leaving the shining shoes abandoned on the white tiles. They were both destined for a scavenger hunt for their clothing in the morning it would seem.

When he imagined her at the threshold of the bedroom, he followed his quarry. His socked feet were silent on the lush carpet of the bedroom, giving no betrayal of his intentions. Only his rushed breathing would betray his before his arm slipped around her waist. He drew her exposed upper back against the warmth of his bare chest, his heart pounding recklessly.

“I'd be a fool to let you escape me, Aaralyn.”

Jay’s voice whispered in the shadowed room, speaking her name delicately. A quiet, almost purr like laugh followed his words, unwilling to stand the thought her leaving, so he imagined it a mere joke instead. He kissed her neck to reassure himself that his trapped angel still existed in his arms.

His cheek rest against her hair, breathing in the sensual scent that clung to her. He smiled into the flames, once again finding nothing to be disappointed about. Maybe this was perfection. Jay’s fingers teased, reaching out for her hand, but grasping only the satin ribbon that she had wrapped her hand in. He lifted the satin dressed hand, almost as if they might begin dancing again.

“No adieus. Not tonight.”

He gave her no further affections. No kisses or tender touches; just holding her calmly against his body. Jay turned his head, looking at their suspended hands while a slight smile dimpled his cheeks. He watched as his fingers slowly undressed the wrapped hand; his fingertips caressing her exposed palm and wrist as the ribbon finally fell away.

The arm encircling her slid around to her back and the cool rush of air flooded over his chest as he stepped back from the embrace. His hands found the satin ribbon again and he reclaimed the task of loosening the bindings. As each loop of the ribbon gave way, his warm lips found her skin, attentive to her reaction.

Her ears were trained to detect the sound of his footsteps against the carpeting, a muffled sound echoing off the walls. Aaralyn had thought that he had surely misinterpreted her joking goodbye, as she was on the threshold of the bedroom. Disappointment was felt from her heart to the tips of her fingers, a sinking lonely emotion trying to overwhelm her.

The shock at having him slip an arm about her waist to cease her impending departure was enough to send her heart racing and rid her body of the untoward emotion of regret. The heat of his chest against her back killed the gasp in her throat, and his words had Aaralyn’ mind ablaze.

The way he spoke her name send her heart fluttering again, the syllables hypnotizing the woman. As Jay sought her hand, only to find it wrapped in the silken ribbon, she let a smile spread her red-tinged lips leisurely.

”No adieus. Not tonight.”

”I’m relieved to hear that…” Aaralyn whispered delicately. She expelled a sigh when he held her hand, carefully unwrapping it to expose the sensitive flesh of her inner wrist and palm. Aaralyn leaned against him simply, her beating heart slowing as she watched the ribbon’s strand grow longer and longer until he finally reached his goal, and her skin tingled with his touch. Regret did wash over her when his arm left her, leaving her unprotected in this cold room.

Aaralyn stood utterly still when Jay began anew with unlacing her dress. When the first lacing was eliminated she clearly felt his lips gracing her skin, and she inhaled deeply. Such contact seemed to have restarted her heartbeat and she bit on her bottom lip, and twisted her wrists in circles, her mind beginning to lose it’s firm hold on reality. The glass of her mind was starting to fog, leaving her gazing through the blurred images she might dully see portrayed there.

And Jay continued onward. With each loop, she became more and more numb to anything but his touches, the placement of his lips. It wasn’t an overlong process to free her from the skin-tight garment, but by such a time, Aaralyn was sure her heart might implode from suspense and pure want. Was it fair of her to accuse him of torturing her with some form of cruel and unusual punishment? When the dress fell to the floor, she sighed, her exposed skin longing for a warm caress.

She turned, her cerulean eyes muddy with so many different sentiments. Her body was now only clad in simple black under-things, a strapless bra and matching underwear. She swallowed against the urge to be forceful, but that animal was a hard one to be caged, when she saw Jay shirtless. It was only too easy for her to move within his embrace her head leaning back to see the expression in his deep brown eyes. A single hand trailed down his chest, finding it’s place at his belt buckle. She sighed as it was undone, her lips coming to his chest, following the line of his collarbone. Aaralyn freed her hands, wrapping them gingerly about his neck, trying to calm her breathing rate as her kisses led her up his jaw and eventually to his lips.

She wondered if she'd ever be able to force her way through another lover, or if she'd be haunted by the memory of Jay's slow seduction, and the way it made her mind a mess of physical details. Aaralyn almost laughed as she surmised the chances of ever being capable of thinking straight again.

It was his turn to feel his heart stop and his breathing shake as her dress slipped away to the floor. His warm hands laid on her sides, searching for sensitive skin to caress. Sultry kisses roamed her bare shoulder and up her neck, playing a light nip on the tender skin.

When she turned to him, he looked down at her with a slight smile. Jay’s thumb brushed over her cheek once, before succumbing to her whims. He closed his eyes, enjoying her touches with a smirk. The placement of her hands sent his heart racing and a shiver down his skin. Eagerly he stepped out of the pants, leaving them a crumbled mess on the carpet and stepping closer to her.

Each of her kisses sent a new thrill to him, strengthening her flawless seduction. Her name was whispered into the darkness just before her lips found his. Jay’s hands lifted, resting against her cheeks gently. His lips coaxed more from her, becoming rougher with his growing desire.

Jay’s willpower began to abandon the control he had maintained; his actions becoming more urgent with each passing moment. His hands left her face, exploring her soft skin eagerly. Caresses trailed down her neck, following the curve of her slender waist to the black cloth that clung to her hips.

His fingers hesitated there, deciding his next move. A smirk formed on his lips and he ended the kiss slowly, stealing a few parting kisses. He slid his hands around her legs and lifted her and wrapped her legs around his waist. The feel of her weight was delightful, her slender frame easy to support. When she was secure in his arms, he found her lips again, unable to quiet the soft groan that formed.

OOC: So this is after she leaves with his clothes, and meets Derek. She would have come back an hour or so later. Just FYI, dear! <3

-------------------------------------

It always seemed that the sound of her heels on the sidewalks was a recurring theme to her life. Aaralyn commonly found herself on her feet, her stylish heels almost always worn. Her image, her feminine power; it was all her religion. And she was a devout follower. What was the redheaded woman to be without her ever-trustworthy heels that helped her drop men to their knees? A slight smile brightened her face as she re-entered the hotel she had left only a short time before. The sun had heated her skin underneath her lover’s clothing, regardless of the cold wind that would send shivers through her thin frame.

She was impatient to get back into bed, curling up in the lovely body warmth that Jay would have certainly filled the bed with. As she walked quietly through the hallways and up the stair, holding a bag of doughnuts and balancing a tray of coffee, Aaralyn tried not to let her previous activity color her morning. In fact, she was honestly trying with every fiber of her being to not relive the last hour or so. It wouldn’t bode well if she let her previous emotions ruin this.

The masquerade. Revenge. The AE, and Derek.

A sigh echoed off the walls, the sound muffled and tired. She was hopeful that sleep would find her soon after climbing back into the delicious heat of a comfortable bed, with an equally delicious man. Her cheeks brightened with splashes of red as she felt her body respond to last night’s events.
A tangle of limbs.
Words whispered in the dark, kisses gracing the other’s skin wantonly.
Possession.

It was all too close to be examined without linking her body to the memory. So Aaralyn only cleared her mind fruitlessly. All she could think about was having Jay help her undress again… and the way his lips felt against her bare skin…

A shudder of delight visibly shook her shoulders, and Aaralyn finally reached Jay’s quarters, her alibi in hand. It only took her a moment or so to unlock the door quietly, and walk into the master bedroom, balancing the coffee and doughnuts with the skills she learned as a waitress…

He woke slowly, lounging comfortably in the embrace of the warm bed. Before he even opened his eyes, a smile was on his lips. His memories played back the events of the night. The masquerade was sparred only seconds of his recollections, the remainder of his musing turning to the heated elevator ride.

Her taste, her touch. Their sounds. Her perfume. The arousal of all his senses had been incomparable. She was a woman to be reckoned with. Not that she needed to be reminded of that. Clearly she was comfortable in her skin.

Still with closed eyes, his arm reached out for her warmth, eager to draw her contours to him. He frowned as his arms found only the cold sheets.

Jay felt a stab of loss and a flicker of irritation. One night stands had never bothered him much before; in fact sometimes it was a blessing to wake up alone and avoid the morning’s awkwardness. But he had enjoyed their easy banter last night, but it seemed she hadn’t found it quite as enjoyable. He tried to ignore the feeling, seeking the comfort of sleep again.

Sleep.

The longing repeated in his mind again and again. Strange how his thoughts resolved around her. He listened for sounds of her in the suite, wondering if perhaps she had gotten up for some unknown reason. But he knew he was alone in the empty suite. Just him and the furniture.

Fucking sleep.

It was ironic how sleep was the most difficult to grasp when you were more desperate for it. He would have settled for the comforting warmth of Ramos in the bed with him. At least he wouldn’t feel quite as abandoned. With an irritated grumble, he hoisted himself from the bed. Sliding his fingers through his hair, he sauntered to the bathroom. In all fairness it had been a one night stand.

By the time he emerged from the bathroom a while later, a towel around his waist, he had made up his mind. Water drops still clung to his skin, glistening as he flicked on the lights in the room. A jog in the park with Ramos would clear his mind of any foolish intentions. It was the very least he owed Ramos after his recent absence from home. It was then that he heard movement in the suite.

His eyebrow arched an Aaralyn’s familiar figure glided into the room. All his previous impatience vanished as he spotted her alibi. A boyish smile came to his lips and he laughed appreciatively, all thoughts of the jog abandoned.

“Breakfast? You shouldn’t have. I would have suggested room service.”

As he spoke, he moved across the room to her. Smiling warmly with thanks, he unburdened her and placed the coffee and doughnuts on the nearby table. With the items set aside, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against his body. It was only once she was in his arms that he finally took notice of her attire and smiled.

“Those look far better on you, then they did on me.”

His hands found her face again, and he muttered a ‘good morning’ before kissing her gently, intent on luring his angel back to bed.

She would have thought Jay asleep when she first walked back into the suite, but as she was confronted with him walking across the room towards her she nearly lost control of the coffee she balanced. It was something for her to even be flustered by a man, but Jay was only dressed in a towel wrapped about his waist. She could see the water clinging to his warm skin in droplets, and Aaralyn had to struggle to keep her mouth from falling open.

When he took the drinks and food from her, she curled her fingers into her palms, trying to calm her racing heart. When she had left, she had hoped to sneak back into the room and curl up next to him, hopefully falling back asleep enveloped in his warmth. Gaining back her ability to think clearly, for she had lost it quite fully when first seeing him, she smiled wide. She enjoyed his arms wrapping about her body, holding her carefully against him.

”Well, I was up and thought I’d surprise you…”

Her smooth lie rolled off her tongue seductively, the falsehood not showing on here face nor her eyes. She thanked the heavens that he wasn’t like Bliss yet, where he might read her emotions all to easily. As he took notice of her borrowed clothing, she curled her arms about his shoulders with nonchalance, fighting a burgeoning blush.

”I figured it would keep you from leaving too quickly. If you really wanted to go, I thought, you might try to fit into my gown.” She laughed easily then. “It’s color would’ve done wonders for those deep brown eyes of yours.”

Her teasing only ended as his hands cupped her face, effectively stopping her heart as he whispered a ‘good morning’ immediately before kissing her with a devastating effect. It wasn’t fair, she thought, how easily he could make her breath catch in her lungs, or the way his fingertips could bring such a heat to the surface of her flesh. The tender manner in which Jay kissed her left her not only wishing for more, but her heart was set to fluttering again.

Damn him and his fluttering sensations.

She was the one to pull away, grinning as she left the circle of his arms. She easily took off her heels that had been almost left behind, kicking them without ceremony away from her. She pulled her hair from it’s ponytail and met his eyes once more.

”Tsk tsk. You’ve showered without me? You’re no fun….”

She walked away then, without looking back, and grabbed a coffee she had brought in. Aaralyn grinned to herself as she lithely sauntered to the bed, quickly taking off Jay’s pants , leaving the fabric in a puddle on the floor. She left on his shirt, enjoying the way her legs seemed to pop out from under the dress top. Only when she had freed her feet from the over-sized garment, did she crawl back underneath the covers that Jay had vacated in her absence, a wicked gleam in her eye.

”I’m not sure about you, but I’ve got nothing better to do today than sleep in and lounge about.”

She smiled coyly before she sipped the hot coffee, pulling the blankets up to her chest and leaning against the soft pillows.

Jay laughed softly, trying to imagine himself slipping into her emerald dress. The thought challenged his masculinity so he abandoned the thought quickly. He didn’t even want to consider that as a remote possibility.

“An ingenious plan.”

He certainly wouldn’t have dared venture out in her dress and it would have taken some time for room service to deliver a suitable outfit to him. So her little scheme would have successfully quarantined him within the room; not that he minded the thought now that she had returned.

“I’ll remember to wait for you next time.”

Her playful chiding made him smile and he replied with a quick retort. The implication of a repeat of the night didn’t even register in his mind. It just seemed…natural.

He had intended to follow her back to the bed, but found himself stunned into a statue like form as she abandoned the cumbersome pants. It was enough to make himself bite his lip. Damn this woman for being so alluring. All he could do was stare at her long legs that emerged from under his shirt.

What was it about a man’s shirt on a woman’s body that was so sexy? Maybe it was that hint of possession when a woman wrapped herself in the man’s belonging as some unspoken acknowledgement of his possession of her; at least for that moment. After all, wasn’t love about possession in some small way?

He regained control of his body as she slipped under the covers of the bed. A deep breathe steadied himself and he picked up the other coffee. Jay slid into the bed beside her. He stretched out on his side; his head supported his by hand. Casually, he slipped his coffee while his eyes studied her features in the morning light that streamed through the window.

“That sound absolutely divine.”

With a smile, he rest his coffee cup on her stomach, keeping his hand curled around the container to ensure that none of the hot liquid would dare be disturbed by her breathing.

She laughed sincerely when Jay placed the coffee on her stomach, glad that he had one hand still about it. For he had it had been just left there, Aaralyn’s giggles would’ve upset the cup, scalding not only her skin but his as well.

It had made her smile wider when he followed her like she had planned, and she suddenly felt like she could sleep for ages. The frustrating tiredness seeped into her veins, making her limbs lazy and heavy. Carefully, she took Jay’s coffee and hers, placing them side-by-side on the bedside table. Her next move was to turn back to him, sliding her body closer to his, eyes deep and unreadable. One of her arms found his waist, the other playing about his chest as she turned onto her side facing him. Easily, she conformed her body to rest against Jay’s, all the while her breathing was calm and contradictorily she felt a furious blush cover her features.

”You’re still warm from your shower…" Aaralyn murmured, her voice sounding muted, her tongue lethargic.

A soft whisper of a sigh betrayed her. She could feel the desire dying uselessly besides the longing to fall asleep in his arms. She wondered when lust could turn into something more solid. More reliable.

It was then she recognized her danger of becoming attached, and shockingly, the red-haired vixen couldn’t care less. If Jay would gladly continue being her solace for a broken heart and broken mind, why should she worry? A smile traced her lips as she laid kisses gently across Jay’s throat and chest, and even though she was warm, she felt goosebumps tingling on her surface.

She yearned for him to trail his fingers along her skin, reading the raised flesh like a lover’s Braille. Discovering the secrets that lay within her, hidden by the layers of skin and muscles and tendons and bones, the only hint of their existence: on her lips, the subtle grin she wore commonly. Was it unfair for her to wish for his arm’s to wrap around her, to lie within the protection of his cocooning embrace lulling her to sleep?

Aaralyn loved that she could smell the clean fragrance of soap on his body, that the water still left his skin a tad damp. She pulled back slightly to view his eyes, her own were beginning to clear. She was falling victim to humanity’s worst trait. With another blush, she hid her face against his shoulder, her voice the same subdued pitch as before.

”Tell me of your wildest dreams…”

[[OOC: Not my best. But my muse is rusty from all the papers xD]] --------------------------
Willingly he settled into the bed with her, enjoying the return to the lazy state. He smiled eagerly as she removed the coffee from his grip, placing it safely out of the way. Uncertain of her intentions, he studied her expression, trying to decipher the darkness of her eyes.

The feel of her body pressed against his made him inhale deeply, his eyes closing in blissful enjoyment. Every brush of her skin brought renewed contentment. There was no where else he would rather be. His thoughts returned to their night together. His body longed for her kisses and touches.

Jay smiled at her words, amused by her lazy tone. Her calm demeanor soothed his desire for her, unwilling to disturb her peaceful appearance. He placed a gentle kiss on her shoulder, his lips smiling against her skin as he felt her kisses.

His arm slipped around her waist, holding her close. Aaralyn’s mood was infectious, soothing him into peacefulness. His fingers trailed over her skin, following the rise of goosebumps on her skin. Jay placed another tender kiss on her temple as he listened to her speak again.

A soft chuckle filled the silence that followed her words as he considered the request. He lowered his lips to her ear, whispering his words while his fingers brushed through her hair.

“My wildest dream is to tame the untameable…”

He laughed softly again, uncertain if he was actually serious or not. In truth he had never been much of a dreamer, just living by his whims, but it seemed like a suitable answer. After all, she seemed to be like wild fire.

“Tell me about your tattoo.”

His fingers traced down her back, remembering the black art on her skin. A content sigh followed his words, her warm skin feeling wonderful on his.

She grinned when she heard his laughter in her ears. His sweet kiss on her temple only served to have her sigh and close her eyes quickly against the fluttering in her chest. Sleep made her tongue slow and her senses lazy. She felt a tremble seduce her limbs as his fingers brushed through her hair. As Jay asked his question and Aaralyn let her eyes open, she felt more goosebumps rise from where his hand led those fingers across her stained back.

“Tell me about your tattoo.”

This was different, she realized instantly, from the heavy and intense passion that she had experienced with Bliss. The ‘All-or-Nothing’ aspect didn’t apply here. And with that revelation came a quick sense of shame and embarrassment. A bright blush covered her cheeks. Aaralyn hoped he wouldn’t notice the anomaly he so often brought out in her.

The tired redhead understood that she might be jumping the gun, but if this instance of affection was foundationally dissimilar to what she had shared with her former lover, than her rules, her game, wouldn’t apply. Aaralyn didn’t want him to know about her past now. She hoped to become something different, healed. Vulnerability was an emotion she was not used to. Even with Bliss she had been callous and blithe, not caring about her past or what he had thought about it. She had been Slim. Now, in Jay’s embrace, she couldn’t let go of her shame. She was afraid, almost terrified that if she revealed to him what a helter-skelter past she had, Jay might take off running.

After all, no one wants a project. They don’t want to have to fix something that they didn’t break.

Aaralyn swallowed against her fears and let her fingers splay almost possessively over his chest. A quick kiss was bestowed upon his jaw, and she felt the smile fall casually from her lips.

”It’s a reminder. To keep me from… harm’s way, you might say.”

A moment passed before she spoke again, this time, turning the attention back to Jay. Her curiosity was awakened, even if she was exhausted. She’d be able to stay conscious for a little while longer. She could feel the heat slowly filling up the room from the sunlight in the windows. She smiled faintly.

”Tell me about yourself, Jay. Something you wouldn’t tell a stranger.”
