When Soah's impoverished, desperate village decides to sacrifice her to the Water God Habaek to end a long drought, they believe that drowning one beautiful girl will save their entire community and bring much-needed rain. Not only is Soah surprised to be rescued by the Water God-instead of killed-she never imagined she'd be a welcomed guest in Habaek's magical kingdom, where an exciting new life awaits her! Most surprising, however, is the Water God himself... and how very different he is from the monster Soah imagined.

Besides admiring the pretty drawings...
the character interactions; the plot; the devices used are just very well done.
Except the part where a person is supposed to be shocked but I can't even tell they're shocked except for the spikey lines enhancing around them. xDD
But it's all good.

the art is GO RG EO US. it's all shiny and sparkling, and detailed. i loveee itt. the story can get a tad bit confusing at times, but otherwise it's all good. highly recommended for an entertaining read ~

The Bride of the Water God is undeniably an amazing manhwa.
I love this manhwa. I LOVE the artwork. I really really did.
But after scanlating, i came to really dislike the manhwa.

I absolutely love this manhwa!!
The art and detailing is unlike anything I've ever seen and the story is quite different from the usual shoujo/high school life drama.

This is absolutely a beautiful manga. The plot is really cool too. I love how the water god can hide his emotions from soah so upfrontly. Soah being so dimwitted actually can't even notice how he feels. How?! when he shows it smack dab in the face. Guys are so easy to read, if you just clear your head and look at them from a distance.  |

The art is pretty for a manhwa. it's my most fav also. I'm so glad a scan group was able to pick it up quick. gahh I can't wait for further chapters. Habeak and his bride are so made in match of heaven. I'm really upset on how Dark Horse publication. They just stop releasing them mid way... all i could say was wth. but i'm glad they are at " least" working on volume 3 right now.. grrr.  |

Agreed. I thought so too. He keeps feeling confused/undecided it just makes me annoyed. But I still like him though, he's gorgeous  Poor Soah. She really needs to hang on. |

The art is dreamy!! I love this manhwa because it's art and plot is so original and beautiful. But that habaek is annoying me  He doesn't treat her right, grr and that fake...I shouldn't spoil it, should I? @Candi: it's really really good! I recommend it  |

I really, really LOVE Bride of the Water God. The plot is AMAZING, and the drawings are nothing I have ever seen. They're really pretty! I would definitely recommend this to anyone I know. I'm just tired of waiting for the chapters. . . .

This is one of the few manwhas that I really appreciate. The art is cute and the story is amazing, it kept me wanting to read more of it as the story gradually unveils. I can't hardly wait to read more. >>
