Well this topic is about the characteristic that you like and hate in a female heroine ^^

As for me I don't like weak girls that always end up being save by the guy or can't stand on their own. It just irritates me, probably because I'm not like that -_-.

I like a heroine where she can beat up anyone who will stand in her way just like Tsukasa in Tokyo Crazy Paradise or the Yvienne in Ciel. Doesn't need to be strong physically but a girl with a strong personality and won't let anyone bully her. That's the type of heroine I like! =D

Pretty much the same for me.

I hate those heroines who are kind of good-for-nothing, stupid, need to be saved all the time, do stupid things all the time and then start crying everytime. Just annoys the hell outta me and I have to stop reading after some time. Can't stand those heroines.

I like strong heroines. Don't have to be strong physically and mentally or something. But who aren't as dumb as many other heroines out there, who can stand up for themselves but who also have a softer side and who don't fall for the guy immediately. I like witty dialogues between the lead characters and heroines who aren't that easy to get. ^^

I like strong heroine who's resourceful. I have nothing against her waiting for the hero to come help her if that's the best option she has...stupidity and stubbornness often lead to unnecessary complication.

The ones I can't stand are stupid ones and one who sometimes act out of spite, such as pretending to date someone else just to make the hero jealous or something.

I also hate the heroine that's always getting saved by the guy or super whiny, obnoxious, or ditsy. I prefer the independent type that are resourceful or thoughtful.

I hate most of all weak people, though strength can come from body or mind. Mangaka who choose an heroin with a typical teen girl mentality often times bore me.

i HATE the damsel in distress type female character. it ticks me off so much because it naturalizes females as the submissive "oh-i-need-a-man-to-save-me" stereotype.

on the other hand, i really like badass female characters who can do things their way without relying too much on men. :)

I look up to female heroines that are hard-working, strong, and beautiful. I generally don't like weak and pathetic heroines, but I enjoy watching the antics of clueless ones, lol.

I don't like annoying girls...like Tohru from Fruits basket or 'goodie-goodie's' i like girls with spine. i really like shippuden sakura (even tho i don't like naruto that well). i usually like the girls to be smart but not ALL knowing...like when there's a problem, i don't like it when everyone looks to her. and i don't like stupid girls...oh boy, i'm so indecisive.

I agree, I really dislike the goodie-goodie ones which everyone falls in love with. I just cannot relate to that.

I don't mind if the girls are a bit stupid, it kinda cute if done with humor.

I don't even mind if they are "weak" as long as the work to become stronger, like Hinata from Naruto, or Mai from Ghost Hunt.

Mostly, I like the ones who can and will work to become stronger, but are also willing to accept help when they obviously need it.

i just like the indepedent one's... and strong... a little bit shy and normal... because not everyone is beautiful... and the most important she have to be very innocent... like the girl in the reaching you mangah... i like her... and Sunako-chan from perfect girl evolution ^^

She doesn't have to be super strong but she just has to be confident in herself. That's the main quality I would like to see in a character. I'm so tired of all those helpless damsels. The poor me, I'm so shy, he'll never look my way so I won't ever do anything about it. Or those that are physically taken advantage of and then realize they're in love. Especially the characters in the mangas by Mayu Shinjo or whatevere her name is. I've yet to see a redeeming character in her females.
