For me, it mostly depends on the type of person you are, but in my case I think it is both an obsession and a hobby. It is just a hobby when I just want to read for fun and to pass the time while I'm bored. However, it becomes an obsession whenever I read a good manga and want to read until the end of the manga, no matter how long I have to stay up in order to finish it all. Also, it is an obsession since I read manga pretty much every night trying to find new manga to add to my computer collection of manga.

It starts out as a hobby to kill boredom but somehow it has evolved into an obsession...kinda scary really.

For me it's both an obsession and a hobby. I like read manga for fun but when i really like a manga i can't stop to read it until i finish it (of course when it's a completed manga)!!!

I would love to say that for me manga is a hobby, but the reality is that it's an obsession. I'm constantly trying to find new manga to add to my collection, both book and computer.

a hobby for sure. lol. i have many other priorities, so i cannnot dedicate my life to reading manga.

kaos-pinkusagi34.gif just a hobby for me not an obession. I am picky on the type of manga i read. i like only ones with good drawing and storyline. although why is that most artist are monkey see monkey do. the same situtation in those shoujo manga. i guess its popular but its gets overratted.

i want to say it's a hobby...but the fact that i check for new releases daily and am constantly searching for new manga makes me think it's an obsession. how did it become like this?

i have to admit that i was obsessed with it at first since it was something new to me. but after awhile, it just became a hobby. although i guess it also depends on what your reading. you dont have to be obsessed about reading mangas in general but u could be obsessed about reading a particular manga.
