Never really done this before so tell me what you think..

Chapter One: Meeting Seraphim

Elena sits in the deserted graveyard, on the cold hard stone, leant against a dead decaying tree which provides little shelter from the howling northern winds. The night is bitter cold though the moon shines brightly. A chill runs up Elena’s spine and she shivers for a second. She looks down to her mother’s grave and lays the fresh flowers upon it. A quiet rustle in the bushes alerts her as she draws her staff and stances.
“Hello..? Who’s there?” she asks, unsure of what to expect.
A man steps out of the bushes with a hand in the air. “Hey, sorry, I didn’t meant to startle you. I’m a bit lost to tell you the truth..” he replied.
“Well, who are you anyway, I’ve not seen you round these parts.” Elena kept alert and her staff up.
“My name is Seraphim, I‘m a Dark Knight, an assassin trained in stealth. And you are?”
“I’m Elena, a White Mage, and well, *ahem* you don’t exactly hide very well… and as for stealth, I heard you coming.”
“Yeh, I need to work on that don’t I?” Seraphim said to her, his eyes wandering over to the hills behind Elena. “Anyway, do you know where um.. Mist Village is?”
“Yes I do, its through the Mist Cavern and its east from the exit..” Elena answered, pointing in the direction of the cavern. Although the actual entrance wasn’t visible, the Mist emitting from the cavern was easily seen. “Do you mind if I come with you?” There was silence for a good few minutes as Seraphim silently contemplated what to do. Eventually he turned to her.
“Can you fight?”
“Of course! And you’ll need a guide to get through the cavern or you’ll get lost!” She pleaded with him.
“Then fine, you can come. But we split at Mist Village.” He tone was to end the conversation with her, though as he turned away to walk, he looked back, “Meet me at the edge of town at dawn. Bring only what you need, that’s when we leave for Mist Cavern.”
“Ok, see you tomorrow then…”
Seraphim walked off, leaving Elena in the bitter winds by her mother’s grave. She turned to the headstone of the grave. “I’m going, and yes, I’ll be careful.”

Ryoshin strolled silently through the graveyard which he supposed should have been deserted, the moss upon the ground thick and unforgiving to his heavy black boots, disgusting squishing sounds being made with each step. The mists that crept upon the ground seemed to give the creeping tumor of moss its moisture.

Sighing heavily, Ryoshin strapped his broadsword to his belt tightly, hugging his cloak tight against his form. It was a little cold out here, he thought, taking a quick glance around. Graves as far as the eye could see...It wasn't unexpected. He supposed many people died each day. It was only fitting that they were placed somewhere.

Looking up, farther ahead, there was a rather delapidated tree, a pair talking amongst themselves quietly. The tone of their voices suggested they were friends, or perhaps they had just met. An interesting place to meet, a graveyard...But things happen everywhere, he knew this for a fact. Gripping his cloak tightly, he veered away from them, heading for a particular grave.

Chapter 1: Continued.. The Return of the Mist Chicken.

Veritry sits on the cold rocks in the middle of the cavern. The mist creeps slowly around him.
"Hmm.. Where's this Dragon..? It should be here somewhere.." Verity mutters to himself. He hears a slight roar and raises his sword. "Alright! Show yourself!" Slowly the mist starts to form a figure, though not a dragon.. more of a... chicken shape.
"What the heck!? This isn't the Mist Dragon.." the chicken tilts its head and turns. It floats off into the depths of the cave, leaving Verity stunned. "Ok.. now I've seen everything." Suddenly, he hears talking, he quickly leaps up onto a high rock and hides behind it, an ambush or just travellers?.. Verity hid there, knowing that he would soon find out.

Kneeling quietly in front of the grave, Ryoshin bowed his head lowly, closing his eyes. It had been many years since he had visited this place...So many years ago.
Back when the Lords were fighting for their territory. He thought back, remembering the conflicts between the ancient lords, their wars. All of it seemed so long ago, the memories hazy and hard to collect into rational thought. But he did what he could.

It must have been...Six thousand years ago. He shook his head a little, opening his eyes and looking to the gravestone ahead of him, the name so faded that he could not make it out. But he knew exactly who lay here, beneath his feet. Beneath the earth a hero laid for six thousand years, the body problably no more than dust, considering how long it had been since the burial.

Sighing, he stood once again, dropping flowers before the gravestone. White roses, her favorite. His green eyes begin to tear slightly, a gloved hand raising up and brushing them away hastily. This was no time for tears. And no place for them either. Nodding to the gravestone, he took a step back, standing in the misted field of graves alone and quiet.
