Many of us knew that Kyouryu Sentai Zyuranger was the first Super Sentai series to be adapted into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. But Ukiya recently posted a link to a very old online newspaper article, dated August 12, 1986, which states that Choudenshi Bioman  was their first try.

Entitled "Bio-Man," is a space adventure series about five kids with identical "bio-rhythms" who defend Earth against Zadar's attacks, an evil half-human, half-robot thug who wants to conquer the world. But it didn't air due to impatient television executives and many Networks did not share Saban's enthusiam with the idea, and hard-to-please sponsors.

Haim Saban didn't lost hope, and according to him: "This isn't brain surgery. If 'Bio-Man' dies, maybe I'll go on and work on something that becomes the next 'Wheel of Fortune.' " And as we all know, the rest is history.

So what do you think? Would an Americanized Bioman work?

I once read something about Saban trying to create an American version of Bioman. Maybe he should try to make Bioman a companion series for Power Rangers. biggrin.gif
