This just got in! Toshihide Wakamatsu (若松俊秀), who is popularly known as Gai Yuki aka Black Condor of Choujin Sentai Jetman, is possible to make his return in the current Super Sentai series, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger!

According to Wakamatsu's official blog, he will make his comeback on a Choujin Sentai Jetman tribute episode, with Toshiki Inoue writing the script.

    『海賊戦隊　ゴーカイジャー』に結城凱　復活します！乞うご期待！！

So far, it's not confirmed on what episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is this. One thing's for sure, this will be AWESOME!!!

The problem with this is that Black Condor died at the end of the series.

As reported  a few weeks ago, it is now confirmed that Choujin Sentai Jetman's Gai Yuuki aka Black Condor is officially back in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger episodes this September.

Furthermore, a few hints have been posted hinting the next former Super Sentai actor that will guest star in the September episodes of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. This includes [1] A certain blue, cool and charismatic rampaging chiropractor (Yukito Sanjyo of Abaranger), and [2] a certain yellow scientist from Academia who lost a friend (Joh Ohara of Liveman).

With Choujin Sentai Jetman's tribute episode on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger coming in just a few days, here is a magazine interview with Toshihide Wakamatsu who played as Gai Yuki aka Black Condor:

I got phone call from Toshiki Inoue in the very early morning... well as is usual for him (laugh). He said “I'll write script so appear on Gokaiger as Gai Yuki”. I've heard about "Gokaiger" so I knew what he told about, but I couldn't believe what he said, because Gai already p----ed away.

The story of Gai's death in Jetman was made mainly by Inoue and me at a meeting where we drank much(laugh). So I was against Gai's being alive and I told so. Then he said “I understand you. Believe in me. If you don't appear, I will never write.” So I replied to him with saying “I'll leave everything to you.”user posted image

After reading the script, I called Inoue and heard him saying "It's nice story for you isn't it?" (laugh) I myself thought I'm too outstanding well in the story so I felt a kind of guilty for being a leading character in Gokaiger. At the same time I felt Inoue's having a special place in his heart for Gai.

At the point I received the offer I called Hirofumi Ishigaki, Action Director in Gokaiger. He acted Yellow Owl in Jetman. I asked him if it's possible to make Mr. Ohfuji act Brack Condor.

When I was in fitting session, I got welcome news. Mr. Nakazawa, the director said Ohfuji accepted the offer of Black Condor. Other staffs also thought that Black Condor must be acted by Ohfuji. That's my great pleasure.

Days ago, after a quick lurk on 4chan's /m/ board, one mentioned that Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger's headwriter, Naruhisa Arakawa mentioned that Choujin Sentai Jetman's Black Condor didn't appear in the Legend War... yet he appeared in the actual war.

It caused me to be intrigued for a moment and so, I started searching for a proper translation of the text from Toei's Gokaiger Website, until finally, someone made a proper translation via JEFusion's Facebook Fanpage! Here's the full text.

    The main writer for Gokaiger, Mr. Arakawa. The first ever Sentai series he wrote for was Jetman. during development stage, the one thing he went against to the very end was having Black Condor fight in the Legend War.

    Utsumiya said, "I can't understand why you can have AbareKiller & Dragon Ranger in it but not Black Condor" (for those who knew nothing about the older series, AbareKiller & Dragon Ranger were both dead near the end of their respective shows)

    Arakawa replied, "I can't understand why you can't understand that"

    The argument nearly turned into a brawl... At the end of the heated argument Utsumiya insisted to have him participate in the war, & now there seems to be some understanding.
