Mantor
First Appearance: "Welcome to the Jungle Part I" (02/18/08)

A Rinshi bestowed the spirit of the Mantis, Mantor was the first of the Rangers' opponents, able to cut through any material with his forearms. He was close to killing the rangers, prior to gaining their Solar Morphers, when RJ drove him away. Given a second chance, Mantor later attacked the city to gather fear from the mass, but was man-handled by the Red Ranger. After being knocked away by Master Mao's spirit, Mantor managed to convince Camille to spare him when he revealed his intent to tear down the dam to flood the city, invoking fear as a result. Though Camille gave him a power boost to do the job, Mantor was destroyed by the Jungle Pride Megazord.

Buffalord
First Appearance: "Sigh of the Tiger" (02/25/08)
Voice Actor: Scott Alexander Young
A Rinshi bestowed the spirit of the Buffalo within a shaman's pouch that Camille took from the museum, Buffalord emulates his animal's raw power to deliver destructive charges to the opponent, with his powerful thighs and horns allowing him to easily break through solid walls. In the middle of the fight, after overpowering Casey, Buffalord was forced to retreat as he was not used to the full power of the buffalo spirit. After enough training to harness his full power, Buffalord resumes his attack, only be beaten by the new attacks Casey learned from the training R.J. put him through. After Buffalord unknowingly helped it into getting in the right position to use its Super Kick on him, the Jungle Pride Megazord destroyed Buffalord.

The Five Fingers of Poison
First Appearances: "A Taste of Poison"
The Five Fingers of Poison are elite Rinshi, wearing sashes as proof of their higher rank above the Rinshi that were bestowed animal spirits. Each member of the Five Fingers is master of a poison. Among it's members are:


Rantipede: A white-sash wearing Rinshi with the spirit of the Centipede, allowing his strikes to be so fast that it is almost as if he has a hundred arms and legs. The bag-hood he wears while in his Rinshi Beast hides his true face: a bunched-up centipede's tail. He is the first of the Five to fight the Rangers, issuing a challenge to Casey but met with and battled Lily. After being defeated, a infuriated Rantipede removed the bag-hood and used the Rangers' fear of seeing his face to enlarge and show his full power. Soon after, he was destroyed by the Jungle Pride Megazord's Savage Spin. Naja later revived him to help him overthrow Dai Shi only to be easily vanquished by him.

Centipedes. In Japan, that was his secret technique. Gacko's is his ability to regrow limbs. Toady's is slime armor. Stingerella's is sending like millions of her babies at you. And Naja's was a poison that gives life to that which is dead.

Question. I know that in Gekiranger, the Venom Fists had the powers of a certain poison and abilities. Just like these ones, but are the American versions still considered master of the style?

For example, is Rantepede master of the Confrontation-Style Centipede-Fist, or whatever it would be called here?

The monsters are infused with the spirits of the animals and therefor have abilities relating to them. But yes. They just don't describe it as fists.


Gakko (voiced by Bruce Hopkins): A green-sash wearing Rinshi with the spirit of the Gecko, a cunning shuriken master of surprise attacks, able to latch on any surface as if there were multiple microscopic hairs on his soles. Gakko can also mimic the gecko's automic talent by shedding off his own arm to escape a hold and growing a new one while the discarded arm's surprise attack serves as a distraction. As he is constantly over others' heads, he thinks of the walls as "his world" and looks down to others. After mocking Rantipede's death, Gakko is sent to destroy the Rangers, breaking Theo's confidence before walking off. After being threatened by Dai Shi for his arrogance, Gakko resumes his intended mission with the Rinshi as back up to soften the Rangers for him. He overpowers Casey and Lily, until Theo eventually arrives after regaining his confidence. Theo managed to beat Gakko at his own element before the Rinshi Beast enlarges and battles the Jungle Pride Megazord, destroyed by its Savage Spin. Naja later revived him to help him overthrow Dai Shi, but fled after Rantipede was killed and started attacking the city to gather as much power for himself as he can before Dai Shi finds him. He confronts the Rangers and is destroyed by their Claw Cannon.

Toady (voiced by Adam Gardiner): A yellow-sash wearing Rinshi who is slightly dim-witted and has the spirit of the Toad, able to resist most pain and possessing a strong and hard body to withstand direct attacks, his ultimate move being to create a mucus-based forcefield to block any attack easily. It's later revealed that he was in love with Stingerella, and that he would do anything for her love. He is also extremely protective of Stingerella, as he viciously attacked the Rangers after he mistook Stingerella throttling Theo for a bout of hugging and kissing. Though he survived the Megazord's attack, Toady runs off when Stingerella's no where to be found. After getting advice from Camille, Toady toughens up and convinces Stingerella to join him in creating a deadly combination of their abilities. However, Toady is destroyed when his barrier is penetrated by a shot from the Claw Cannon.

Stingerella (voiced by Sarah Thomson): A red-sash wearing Rinshi and the only female member of The Five Poisons. With the spirit of the Scorpion, her dance/kick combo in homeage to the scorpion's sting earned her the nickname, "Queen of the Toxic Dance." She lightly poisoned Casey in their first encounter, once Jarrod defeated him. The dosage was not enough to kill him, but it did make him temporarily suffer massive pain. When she is sent to attack the city, with her dancing Rinshi overwhelming the Rangers, they later responded with a similar dance based technique. Then, Toady interfered, finally convincing Stingerella that they must join forces to combine their strengths. Stingerella, impressed with Toady's new attitude, made her completely submissive to him until Toady was killed. While avenging Toady's death, she was destroyed by the Jungle Pride Megazord.

Naja (voiced by Richard Simpson): A blue-sash wearing Rinshi that has the spirit of the Cobra and is the leader of the Five Fingers of Poison. His fighting style allows him to emulate a serpent's bite with highly accurate hits at a opponent's weak spots, earning him his reputation as a "Master of Instant Victory". Naja's greatest power is in his six Life Talons, which allows him to cheat death or resurrect those who are dead. Eventually fed up with Dai Shi, Naja sought to usurp his leadership and revealed his intentions of assassinating him to Camille, offering her a place at his side. Naja uses one of his Life Talons to survive her attack before eventually defeating Camille. Soon after, Naja revived Rantipede and Gakko to aid him in killing Dai Shi while he was meditating. However, Camelle's interference ruined the plan, and she was now able to counter Naja's attack. Though he offered Camille his power over life and death, she sliced off his last three Life Talons before killing him.

Pangolin
First Appearance: "Way of the Master"
Pangolin is a Rinshi who holds the spirit of the Pangolin, possessing nigh-impenetrable scale armor and able to curl up into an armoured ball to roll at his opponents in his signature "Pangolin Rolling Attack". He is the first Rinshi Beast to actually defeat the Jungle Pride Megazord in battle. After seeking out a fault line, he beg his plot to cause an earthquake enough to destroy the city which will help prepare for Carnisoar's arrival. That was until Lily mastered the Jungle Mace and Master Phant taught Lily how to channel his animal spirit. After taking some blows from the Jungle Mace, Pangolin grew. During the battle with Pangolin in the Jungle Pride Megazord, Lily channeled Master Phant's animal spirit to summon the Elephant Zord who attack Pangolin. The Rangers then used it to form the Jungle Pride Megazord with Elephant Power and destroy Pangolin.

Slickagon
First Appearance: "Good Karma, Bad Karma"

Slickagon is a Rinshi that Camille calls to assist her in terrorizing the city before Dai Shi returns with Carnisoar. A prankster who holds the spirit of the Eel, Slickagon is able to generate energy-based slime all over his body that can let him slip past any attack. Camille sent him to wipe out the city with his slime. He defeated the Rangers the first time he battled them because their weapons were not able to do any damage to him, and he washed them away with his slime. In the second battle, Casey cleaned him up by rubbing off all his slime with a kite, allowing the Rangers to finish him off with the Claw Cannon. Slickagon grew and the Rangers easily finished him off with the Jungle Pride Megazord with Elephant Power.

Bai Lai
First Appearance: "Blind Leading the Blind"
Voice Actor: Josh Thompson
Bai Lai is a crow monster with no Rinshi form. He emulates in the aggressive airborne moves with his broadsword. Bai Lai is dark colored and has an extended left wing, complimenting Carden's light coloring and right wing and has a skull-like face. He was one of Carnisoar's two servants along with Carden, and they created a vortex that would wipe out the entire city. The first time they fought the Rangers, the rangers were defeated because they flew, something that the Jungle Pride Megazord (even with Elephant Power) couldn't do. After learning from Master Swoop, Theo took them down with the Jungle Fan. They grew, and the Rangers used the Bat spirit to become Jungle Pride with Bat Power. Bai Lai was destroyed with the Swoop Attack, with only his broadsword remaining which Carden took with a clinging attachment to it.

Carden
First Appearance: "Blind Leading the Blind"

Carden is a crane monster with no Rinshi form. He performs graceful air maneuvers to deliver attacks with his twin swords. Carden has light coloring and an extended right wing, which compliments Bai Lai's dark coloring and extended left wing. He was one of Carnisoar's two servants along with Bai Lai, and they created a vortex that would wipe out the entire city. The first time they fought the rangers, the rangers were defeated because they flew, something that the Jungle Pride Megazord (even with Elephant Power) couldn't do. After learning from Master Swoop, Theo took them down with the Jungle Fan. They grew, and the Rangers used the Bat spirit to become Jungle Pride with Bat Power. Carden got thrown into a mountain and watched Bai Lai get destroyed. Carden swore to avenge him, taking his fallen partner's broadsword as his weapon. He later went head to head with Lily who manages to beat him. After he grew, he was easily defeated by the Jungle Pride Megazord with Bat Power.

Crustaceo
First Appearance: "One Master Too Many"
Crustaceo is a Rinshi who holds the spirit of the Hermit Crab and has the ability to take over someone's body. He was summoned by Jellica to cause havoc on the ocean floor, only to be thwarted by Master Finn. When Casey was looking for R.J., he ended up fighting Camille and Crustaceo. Casey uses the Shark Sabers to fight him and defeat him. Crustaceo grew and the Rangers summoned the Shark Zord to aid them. It wasn't until Crustaceo used his ability to take over the Shark Zord which was repelled when the Jungle Pride Megazord combined with the Elephant Zord. Crustaceo fights Casey again and is defeated especially upon being hit by the Claw Cannon. When he grew, the Jungle Pride Megazord combined with the Shark Zord to become the Jungle Pride Megazord with Shark Power. With this form, Crustaceo was destroyed underwater.

Mog
First Appearance: "Ghost of a Chance" Pt. 1
Voice Actor: Oscar Burt-Shearer
Mog is a Rinshi who holds the spirit of the Frog. Like Toady, he also has a slime barrier. Camille takes him to cause havoc in town. He runs afoul of the Power Rangers. Mog grew after taking a blow from the Shark Sabers. The Jungle Pride Megazord combines with the Elephant to bring down the barrier. Then the Rangers use the Jungle Pride Megazord with Bat Power to take him down from the sky. Mog was destroyed by the Jungle Pride with Shark Power.


Shadow Guards
Robotic beetle monsters that were originally terracotta statues in Dai Shi's altar until they were brought to life by Carnisoar and Jellica's combined powers to aid Dai Shi when he called the Rangers out. In "No I in Leader," there were more of these Shadow Guards in terracotta statue form until Grizzaka brought two of them to life with the power of Zocato.

Shadow Guard Blue
First Appearance: "Ghost of a Chance" Pt.1
Although not technically a Rinshi Beast, this Stag Beetle-type Shadow Guard was brought to life by Carnisoar's powers. He aided Dai Shi in holding off two of the Rangers while the third one was forced to fight Dai Shi on his own, later escort RJ back to Dai Shi's lair. He was ultimately destroyed by Jungle Master Lily. He and his brother were revived in an attempt to defeat the Rangers, and fought against the newest Spirits. He was destroyed in battle by the combined might of the Gorilla, Penguin, and Antelope Zords, but his powers were absorbed by the White Guard.

Shadow Guard White
First Appearance: "Ghost of a Chance" Pt.1
Although not technically a Rinshi Beast, this mechanical Hercules Beetle-type Shadow Guard was brought to life by Jellica's powers. He aided Dai Shi in holding off two of the Rangers while the third one was forced to fight Dai Shi on his own, later escort RJ back to Dai Shi's lair. He was ultimately destroyed by Theo, who evolved to Jungle Master Mode. He and his brother were revived and fought in battle against the Rangers' newest Spirits. He absorbed his brother's power after he was destroyed by the Gorilla, Penguin, and Antelope Zords. Despite this, the White Shadow Guard was destroyed by the Jungle Master Megazord.

Red Shadow Guard #1
First Appearance: "No I In Leader"
A red and white Hercules Beetle-type Shadow Guard brought to life by Grizzaka. Grizzaka sent them to attack the city. After a scuffle, the Shadow Guards retreated. They attacked the second time and fought Lily overwhelming her. When both were about to finish them off, Casey arrived and used a satellite dish to deflect the blast. Casey then used the Jungle Cruiser to attack him followed by RJ using a double team with Casey who later transformed into his Jungle Master mode. With a combo of the Wolf Beam and the Claw Cannon, the Shadow Guards were defeated. Grizzaka used the power of Zocato to make them grow. The Jungle Master Megazord nor the Wolf Zord were having a difficult time. RJ summoned the Tiger and Jaguar Zords to form the Wolf Pride Megazord which destroy this Shadow Guard.

Red Shadow Guard #2
First Appearance: "No I In Leader"

With the help of the Wolf Pride Megazord, the Jungle Master Megazord destroyed this Shadow Guard.

Hamhog
First Appearance: "Bad to the Bone"
Hamhog is a Rinshi with the spirit of the Pig. When Casey was delivering a pizza, Hamhog ambushed him, easily beating Casey around. When Lily and Theo appeared and morphed into Jungle Master Mode they defeated him with the Claw Cannon. He then grew to giant size and was finally destroyed by the Jungle Master Megazord With Shark Power.


Porcupongo
First Appearance: "Bad to the Bone"
Porcupongo is a Rinshi who holds the spirit of the Porcupine, using his quills to alter someone's personality. After Hamhog was destroyed, Camille had him attack the Rangers while she went to revive Grizzaka. He throttled the Rangers, blasting Lily and stabbing her with his needles, causing her to act like a biker girl, and later ambushing an injured Casey and Theo. Fran later removed the quill from her and sent Lily to help out the other two Rangers. When the Rangers morphed into Jungle Master Mode, they beat him around until he grew to giant size. He was finally defeated by the Jungle Master Megazord with Elephant Power.

Munkeywi
First Appearance: "Friends Don't Fade Away"

Munkeywi is a Rinshi who holds the spirit of the Baboon. He can shoot an energy blast from his mouth. After Grizzaka overthrows Dai Shi/Jarrod, he summons Munkeywi to lead the Rinshi in Dai Shi's place. He attacked citizens in Ocean Bluff, causing RJ to think he attacked people. He briefly fought RJ before the Rangers appeared, but RJ changed into his werewolf form. Munkeywi ran away for the Rangers' Master to finish them off and later ambushed Ocean Bluff a second time. When the Rangers are overwhelmed, R.J. appears as the Wolf Ranger and easily takes down Munkeywi. When Grizzaka uses the Power of Zocato to make Munkeywi grow, the Rangers form the Jungle Pride Megazord. When Munkeywi started attacking the Cheetah leg, R.J. in his Zord form replaced the Cheetah Zord to form a new combination of the Jungle Pride Megazord which destroys Munkeywi.

Is this the only episode that R.J. has to deal with his werewolf self? I don't think there are any others I know of in JF, but I think there were more in Geki. Question: Does R.J. have a confrontation with his werewolf?

Actually there was two episodes, they were back to back, the second is when he actually became the Wolf Ranger. He ended his werewolf saga when he touched hands with Fram.

Barakouzza
First Appearance: "True Friends, True Spirits"
Voice Actor: Campbell Cooley
Barakouzza is an Archerfish monster with no Rinshi form. He has water cannons on his forearms. Grizzaka had dispatched him to attack the Rangers. The Rangers almost defeated him in a Megazord battle before RJ turned into a werewolf upon the possessions of spirits unleashed by Grizzaka. Barakouzza took the time to escape and report the events to Grizzaka. Barakouzza returned to the city and Lily and Theo fought him while Casey went after RJ's werewolf form. Theo and Lily transformed into their Jungle Master Modes. After maintaining control of his Wolf Spirit, RJ arrives to save them from the Rinshis with the help of Casey who transforms into his Jungle Master mode. RJ then engaged with Barakouzza and used the Wolf Morpher attack to defeat him. Grizzaka used his Zocato power to revive Barakouzza. RJ forms the Wolf Pride Megazord. Barakouzza was overwhelming it until the Jungle Master Megazord arrived to knock him in the air. Barakouzza was defeated by the Wolf Pride Megazord.

Correct me if I'm wrong but when I had the CC on, when it showed the name of that monster, it showed it as Barrazooka, with two Rs

What is heard and what CC shows may be different, it has happened before. Linear Ranger spells that monster's name as Barrakooza, which is what my Closed Caption has been spelling.
