United Kingdom, Region One Set Review.

Well there is not much to say that has not already been said; however, I would like to point out the stunning color and clarity of this set.

Even though I have digital cable the sci-fi channel still comes in somewhat grainy. BSG looks good but once I popped in this set BSG exploded on my TV with vivid color and crisp lines, at last BSG as it was meant to be seen.

I see no need to go into any episode details only the pros and cons over which set would better suit your needs.

This set is bare bones only deleted scenes are included along with a bonus Serenity Sneak Peek disk (which is quite good albeit a bit short). If you are the kind of person who buys the regular DVD and then the special edition that has the same movie on it with just a few extra features thrown in then you will be buying both anyway…so go away. But if you are like me you only want what you are going to watch and that is the episodes all the extra fluff is meaningless and ends up boring you to death anyway.

Moreover, this set does not include the mini (the US set will) and since I have the mini I do not care, again this is a win, win for me. All in all you are saving about ten bucks on this set over the US set coming out in September. Ten bucks is not a big deal so if you want DVD commentary, behind the scenes footage, blah, blah, blah, you are better off waiting. If you want your BSG and you want it now all in a great package with clear sound and beautiful transfer what are you waiting for!?

...I see...I am little stuck in the middle, I wanted extra features but due to it tends lack of captioning cause me to hesitate about what to do. I already have mini series DVD. But I was wondering if quality of captioned will be improved on Season 1 DVD boxset US region. I am in tight spot...I heard from some people that UK region have some problems such as box set holder fall apart and have some mistake in spelling and the thing does not go smoothly as people wanted...and I didn't like the cover of UK region lol. Dunno, I am waiting to hear more out of people about those who bought the Uk region DVD.

well all the North Americans have everyright to be they have been waiting so long for the set i would gaurd it

The boxes can't be any worse from the cheap dross wrapping the most excellent Babylon 5 DVD's (WB grrrr..). Still I may hold off until I get more data on the quality of cases. Is there less content on the Region 2 Season 1 BSG DVD box set than region 1??

At least they came out reasonably quickly for the UK market I guess but perhaps that is due to less content? Anyone know?
