Activity Log, Lets try and find out what is going on.

Hey Staff, how's it going?

So I'm back as some of you may know. I have been gone for about nine months now, and I'm back to do some damage. I love damage. Some things also seem to be out of place, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Based on Zeus's e-mail though, I take it Activity is down.

I always see the call to action and to please come back and help the squad. But I think it may be time to start up a new idea. How about an Activity Log, or just a Flight Log for the pilots.

Open a new board called flight log, any RPFW member who takes a flight for a while, will create a thread with their username as the title. This would become their log book. Not only will this tell us a users activity, but we'll also see who is active all together. We let the member make their own log book when they fly. Kind of like the signatures on YSP.

Another thing that has kind of bugged me, my first day of flying I hear a lot of crap. Mostly about how the RPFW has failed and its members throwing the rules out the window. One of the rules that suck out, was shooting down civil aircraft.

I think we may need to start up training times again. Sometimes people showed, other times people didn't. It is just a set time for RPFW members to get together.

One more thing, after the log book gets established (if it is agreed that we do it.) we should attempt to find a user who is on often enough to run a server, and try to figure out a way to have a more permanent server running. I would, but my connection speed cannot handle a server.

Hey man I like your thinking, I can try and write up some kind of log thing at school today, and implement it when I get home.

And my family should be getting a new computer soon, which means I would get the one they had before, and can just wipe this computer of everything but ys, and possibly have a 24/7 server.

but that may be a couple months.

personally i dont think the log system would work, unless we made it so it was semi automatic. but i hav no idea how we'd do that.

my main problem is the effort. personally when i fly i dont always come on the forum. how many of our pilots (espeically new ones) will be bothered to write up. we couldnt use it as an accurate method of telling activity online.

it would be good, for example, to somehow get an automated "last online on forum" and "last active in air" times in the sig of each member here... however, obviously, not easy

we've got to be careful and not go OTT in saying "BE ACTIVE OR DIE" or ppl will just go... "oh screw this" and piss off to waste their time playing with themselves or something rather then playing with us lot!
