Ban Appeal, Not really flaming...

O.K. Well I'm not angry, I have done good with that. I am trying to appeal my ban. This really isn't flaming, I just thought since this was the Lounge with the least amount of topic that i would post here.

I was banned today in the server by Lupe. I know this because I was lanning with a friend and he told me. I was banned because while he was AFK i was looking behind me to his computer and I could roughly where some players were going. I was on the bridge and shoting though the walls. My shots were mostly random as I Could only see by the red box and the the overpass above the box. I didn't think i did much damage and I didn't know that lanning was illegal. I know it is in scrims but I didn't think you could get banned for it in a Pub. He was only AFK for 2 rounds so I didn't think that my actions would get me banned.

I definatly wasn't hacking, i did have a negative score. and very did manage to kill someone.

Please unban me, I love the server and I have worked so hard on my races and being active on the server and forums, this is only like my 230th post. So please give me anyother chance.

LANing isn't illegal. Using someone else's monitor as your ESP is. It's basically on the same level of cheating as 1337nOOb and 1337T!K! did when they were announcing where enemies were. Think of it in terms of Lupe's view. All of a sudden, you are walling (I'm presuming this was Lupe's interpretation) and Lupe isn't to do anything about it? And just so you know, forum posts don't count towards anything in terms of being a decent player in this server. With all that said, I don't think this ban is permanent having heard the story. But you should definitely know better than to cheat.

Soooooo, whats the prob here, Nitro got banned? Haha shit, your fuked. Yes, you'd probably need to appeal to the higher ups, which is eerm.... me =). So, seeing that we didn't write lanning/screen looking as against the rules.................. we have no right to give you a permanent ban. However, as Happy said, it is a bit obvious that its considered cheating.

Seems the forum is turning dirty these days, people having drama, people getting banned, racist jokes, sigh sigh. Sorry, I'm pretty relaxed at the moment, just came back to my dormitories from a quite sad vacation from NyC.

Though it isn't written, I think it's pretty obvious that it's cheating. That's why we put that clause for reasonableness. True, many things are debatable but I feel this one goes beyond that limit.

However, I'm going to stick by Miko's decision. My only question is how long should the ban last? A day, a few days, a week?

Tbh. 2 Week ban is my opinion. Walling is a form of cheating. You are using the spec to show where others are.

It seems to me like Nitro does things against his better judgement sometimes. Obv. he knew he shouldn't do that, I mean, what did he expect to happen when he started walling ppl?

Having said that, I feel bad for the guy and he is young, we should give him a chance, yeah?

I agree, he is young. Doesn't always know he is doing wrong, or he just does it against his better judgement. Tbh, there needs to be a punishment. But not a perm ban, ban of maybe 1-2 weeks. And a deduction from his bank? (If possible maybe loss of some XP also) therefore he has lost out because of his mistake and has to work to get it back.

Although hes been banned 2x now for "silly" actions in the space of a coupel weeks,.. and thats more than me EVER..

nothing much i can say because my input isnt going to change anyhting although you have lately shown a tendacy to try and abuse the game to suit yourself.. By

A - jumping over a wall that is obviously not meant to be jumped over to see if "you can swim around like pool maps"..
B - Using another screen to your advantage and giving away postion sof other players..

Tbh I have been banned from PWN only once, and that was when the mod was on that stop skywalking :rolleyes: yah i was a noob and skywalked on D1, :unsure: learned my lesson the hard way.

Tbh, nitro, you need to think about your actions a bit more carefully.

I've been banned many many times. So hahhhhhhhhhh. Though I guess it really isn't something to be proud of. Since I'm so experienced with that, I feel somewhat akin to my other banned members. Something about being banned so often... to becoming the one with the power to ban, feels so nice =)

Nitro was banned twice? Using Echoz favorite/overused phrase, tbh jumping over a box in fy_shotguns and getting an autoban doesn't seem all that serious. But the cheating cannot be denied... we've given permanent bans for similar cases. So how about this, a week ban from today, and restarted bank? Fair, unfair?

Not that I am really entitled to say haha but I think that is entirely reasonable.

seems fair.. OR week ban and reset bank.. AND a last warning.. cause (to me anyways) it seesm hes TRYING to find ways of exploiting the game without being caught and with being banned 2x maybe a last warning would encourage him to play fair..

Hey. take away my bank, It took me forever to get it to when i had it, especially now when there is not interest. I had it up to 11 million where other players keep theres at say 2 million. I took pride in my bank... But could you please just have like a 5 million reduction, because if it gets reset and I get a week, I'm going to have to work major hard to get it back up to even 3 million. And i did only screen peak for 2 rounds.
