[Rebecca Styrlen]

Bec danced around the living room with a duster in her hand. She had a pair of headphones on, something she'd gotten for Christmas last year, the music taking her thoughts away from the rest of things going on.

Things with her parents were a little better. Key word there being little. Of course, hanging around with Dean helped her out a whole lot. Her parents seemed happy about that fact, seeing as how she stopped threatening his life in every other sentence. Still, she had yet to talk to Sassy about her catching her in bed with Dean that one night. Actually, she hadn't really talk to Dean about it. They seemed to have some unspoken understanding, which was simply they didn't talk about it. Ever.

Though she really didn't mind, maybe she should have, waking up with Dean. They both knew nothing happened, they'd been watching movies and she fell asleep. Dean wouldn't have made her try to climb down the window just to get back to her bed. Okay, so she could see why any adult would be upset about what happened, even though nothing happened.

With a heavy sigh, she shook her head as she pushed the thoughts out of her mind while she turned the music louder. A smile came across her lips as she began to move more to the music, less with the dusting.

Hey, at least she was alone.

Sassy could still not believe that she had found Dean in bed with Bec, a girl in his bed she was not surprised at but Bec... She had not talked about it with the teen after he had somewhat mumbled something at breakfast that morning about a movie night and falling asleep. She had not known how to broach the topic without being the worst hypocrite, she had been no saint when she was his age after all. By silent mutual agreement both of them were acting like it had never happened and she had not told Jethro simply because that would be unfair to get him to do the dirty work she was loath to do.

She shook her head, annoyed at herself for once more letting her mind wander to that morning and the shock of it. She then stood up deciding to head from her den to the kitchen to grab a snack, then get back to work after all that was why she had opted to work from home today to not have normal office type distractions.

Sassy was passing the living room door when the slight sounds of music and movement caught her eye, she paused and stuck her head in and blinked surprised to see Bec, then she recalled that it was a Saturday not a school day and she only had peace from Dean and Jethro because the former was out with his friends and the latter was working.

As she moved around the room, she got completely lost in her own mind. She was somewhere else, a place where her sister wasn't sick and she didn't have to worry about her parents anymore. Her brother was loved for who he was, not just for how he could help his sister. That would be perfect.

Then of course, as with any teenager, her mind strayed to what it would be like to have her own place. A place that she had all to herself, how she would decorate it, what layout she'd have. Would it be easier to clean or harder if it was her own? So many thoughts, which eventually led her to thinking about how it would be to live with Dean when they went off to college. Granted, he said they'd have like a duplex or something, but still. They'd be right there. Well... at least she'd have someone to talk to if she needed too.

With a soft sigh, she turned around as she was about to walk out of the room when she saw Sassy outside the door. She froze for a moment before she switched the headphones she had on to the off position. Slowly she slipped them down to hang around her neck as she faced the adult she'd been fairly good at avoiding the last few days.

"Um... hi Sassy," she said awkwardly.

Sassy knew that Bec had been avoiding her, it did not take a genius to realise that and she had been grateful, she had no idea what to say to the girl who she had always thought a level headed girl and a good influence on Dean. She internally winced realising she was now thinking like her parents.

"Hi Bec, I didn't mean to disturb you." She replied trying to act like she had not caught the teen in bed with Dean.

"I'm about to get some food, care to joinn me?" Sassy then asked with a friendly smile, as she decided that she did want to know what the hell had gone on that night, the only thing having her not talk to Dean was the fact both teens had been fully clothed and they were hardly likely to redress if they'd had sex.

"Hi Bec, I didn't mean to disturb you."

"Oh, uh... it's okay." This was very awkward and she didn't like it. Of course, the only way to get over that was to talk to Sassy about what happened, but she felt completely embarrassed about what happened. Dean had told her that he was pretty sure Sassy knew they hadn't done anything. Still, she wasn't for sure if Sassy believed that.

"I'm about to get some food, care to join me?"

Bec hadn't expected the invitation. Of course, she had a feeling this wasn't one she could decline. She was sure this would be where she got the talk. Well, she had avoided it for a while, though she hated the fact that Dean had ditched her today. Otherwise, she'd be off doing something crazy with him instead of here. Oh well, that was life, right?

With a nod, she set duster down. "Yeah, that sounds good," she said with a small smile.

Sassy smiled as part of her wished that the girl had refused the offer, she really did not know how to broach the topic that needed to be discussed.

She moved off, leading the way to the kitchen as she ran through various ways to start the conversation, dropping them all as inappropriate or sounding too like her parents or both.

Sassy held open the door for Bec and with a slight smile gestured for her to enter the kitchen first. She then followed after letting the door swing shut as she headed for the coffee maker, she needed strong cup to help her with this meal.

"Want a coffee?" She asked, her back towards the girl as she got what she needed for her own drink.

As she moved to follow after Sassy, she couldn't help but wish to have Dean there with her. He'd make this somewhat funny at least. Then again, maybe he'd make it more awkward. In all honesty, there was no telling. Damn, she should have just went to the library or something instead of work today!

Bec walked inside the kitchen before Sassy, since she was nice enough to hold the door for her. "Thanks," she said with a smile as she moved to take a sit on one of the stools at the counter.

"Want a coffee?"

"Please." With a nod of her head, she looked around the kitchen in an attempt to avoid looking at Sassy.

What was she supposed to say to her? Sorry you got me in bed with your cousin? The really didn't sound like a good way to start a conversation nor one that would be easy to have. Yet, she knew it was unavoidable. Thankfully Sassy hadn't told her parents, she could only imagine what they would do if they every found out about her in Dean's bed.

With a heavy sigh, she bit into her bottom lip. Slowly her eyes raised to look to the other woman. "I'm sorry," she said in a whisper. "I know you never expected to catch me in Dean's bedroom. I can swear that nothing happened though!"

Sassy started to sort out the coffee cups after starting the coffee machine, she froze at Bec's whisper and then turned around after forcing her features into a neutral expression from the shock they had held at the girl bringing up the incident.

"It was a shock." She agreed, knowing that that was a wild understatement. She then gave the teen a plesent and somewhat curious and gentle smile. "What exactly happened to end with you..." She paused a moment looking for how to phrase it, if it had been Dean she'd have not gone too gently. "Staying over?"

"It was a shock."

Bec nodding her head slowly. Of course it was a shock for Sassy to catch Dean and herself in bed together. She was slightly shocked at the situation herself, but well... nothing she could do to change it.

"What exactly happened to end with you..."

She glanced at Sassy, knowing she wanted to say the next part right. Nothing had happened, she wanted to state again, but she was sure taht saying it a million times wouldn't actually help. With a soft sigh, she pressed her lips together as she waited.

"Staying over?"

"I couldn't sleep," she answered softly. "I'd had a bad night with my parents over my sister and well, I just couldn't sleep. I had hung out with Dean earlier that day and he helped take my mind off everything, so I figured he wouldn't mind me bugging him in the middle of the night." She glanced down at her hands as she took a deep breath. "I hadn't meant to fall asleep or stay alnight, I just kinda dozed off while watching whatever movie we stuck in."

Sassy turned as Bec started to speak, not saying anything as the girl explained how she had ended up spending the night in bed with Dean. She did frown slightly at mention of Bec's sister and wondered way the little girl would cause arguments between Bec and her parents.

She nodded with a slight smile, that grew fuller and reassuring. "Thank you for telling me..." She paused then added. "You know you can use one of the guest rooms if you need a time out from your parents, I won't tell them you're here and you don't have to keep Dean company if you don't want to." She stated, meaning the offer, though she liked Bec's parents as employees, they could both be a bit stiff necked for her liking.

Sassy turned back to making the drinks, and then casually asked what was now a puzzle. "What happened with Charlotte?" She couldn't imagine the girl getting into trouble so was wondering what would cause a problem between Bec and her parents that involved the twelve year old.

"Thank you for telling me..."

"You're welcome."

"You know you can use one of the guest rooms if you need a time out from your parents, I won't tell them you're here and you don't have to keep Dean company if you don't want to."

"Thanks, Sassy, that's very nice of you," Bec said with a smile. [b]"Actually, Dean and I have been getting along a lot better now." She shrugged her shoulders. "I guess he has someone else to annoy."

"What happened with Charlotte?"

At this Bec frowned a bit. She was sure Dean had already told Sassy. He did say he was going to get his cousin to look at some other way to help her sister. She didn't doubt Dean's word for a second, then again, maybe he felt it wasn't his place to tell Sassy what was going on.

"I guess Dean hasn't told you yet," she said slowly as she looked down at her hands. "Charlotte's sick... she has leukemia."

Sassy smiled and then gave the girl a bemused look as the teen mentioned that she and Dean had been getting on better of late. "I had noticed." She commented.

Sassy frowned, that deepened as Bec continued to speak, at her stating that Charlotte has luekemia she blinked. "I'm so sorry to hear that honey. Dean hadn't mentioned it, but he has been working his way to it, I see that now..." She trailed off, Dean's odd topics of late now making sense, the teen was feeling her out. SHe shook her head. "Now I understand why he was wanting to know about ways to use his money to help someone without them knowing and refushing." She stated as she quickly put two and two together, knowing Rebecca's parents were prod people.

Sassy then looked comfortingly at Bec. "I'll figure out a way to help Charlotte without causing your parents to, well without letting their pride get in the way."

"I had noticed."

Bec gave a slight smile before she shrugged her shoulders. She knew a lot of people had noticed the fact that her and Dean were no longer at each others throats. She pretty much ignored everything else they said though.

"I'm so sorry to hear that honey. Dean hadn't mentioned it, but he has been working his way to it, I see that now..."

She glanced at Sassy with curosity. "Oh?"

"Now I understand why he was wanting to know about ways to use his money to help someone without them knowing and refushing."

"Oh yes, that's how he'd do it," she said with a slight nod of her head. He would do it in a round about way rather then just straight out ask her. Bec slowly shook her head.

"I'll figure out a way to help Charlotte without causing your parents to, well without letting their pride get in the way."

"Thanks, Sassy," she said with a small smile. "So I'm going to guess Dean didn't tell you that I know." She glanced down at her hands, before she started to mess with something on her thumb.


OOC- Oh no worries! I'm only getting on when I can anyways. That's fine. Also, I was thinking of the next thread with Dean and Bec, could be something like she has a break down at school or something. What do you think?

Sassy smiled at Bec. "I'll do my best, don't worry." She replied, gently but firmly, though she knew that the order was useless, Bec of course would continue to worry.

"He told me that you know he's Transgenic, about the accident." Sassy stated, correcting Bec's assumption. "We have a deal, anyone finds out or he suspects, they've found out about him, he tells me." She explained.

She poured out her coffee as she spoke again. "Now you know why we're so involved, but why we try to look like we're not. Jethro of course knows about Dean and is doing what he can to protect him." She added in case Dean had not told the girl about that.

"I'll do my best, don't worry."

Bec nodded her head slowly at that. That was something easier said then done. Of course she'd continue to worry, this whole thing was horrible! Why did this have to happen to her sister, why couldn't it just be simple...

"He told me that you know he's Transgenic, about the accident."

"He tried to deny it," she offered with a small smile. "Dean didn't want to tell me, but I sorta kinda... Well, I was being stubborn, honestly. I saw something, knew he was lying about it and didn't let it go until he gave up the truth."

"We have a deal, anyone finds out or he suspects, they've found out about him, he tells me."

That made sense, she thought as she nodded her head. If Dean was ever in any danger, that would help protect him better. Besides, Sassy being one step ahead of someone who knew about her cousin worked out for everyone's benefit.

"Now you know why we're so involved, but why we try to look like we're not. Jethro of course knows about Dean and is doing what he can to protect him."

Bec nodded her head slowly. "Yeah, so know one finds out and tries to stop you." She could just image some of the things her parents would do if they knew the truth. "I didn't know about Jethro... Dean didn't mention him to me. Then again, he was probably trying to limit what I know. You know, just in case I'm asked. Can't tell what I don't know."

She glanced down at her coffee before she took a sip. The heat hit her tongue, causing her to pull away. She loved coffee, but always hated that first sip. The next one she took as easier. With a soft sigh, she set her cup down. "Were you hard on Dean after you cause us?"

Sassy smiled gently at the girl in understanding, slight bemusement tinged the smile at her comment about being stubborn. "So he told me, but after what you witness it would have been odd if you did not have questions. I'm glad he was there to rescue you." She replied meaning it, such use of his abilities was not going to get Dean into trouble, at least not from her, it was not like putting the lead jock in his place or somesuch.

Sassy nodded not surprised that Dean had not told Rebecca that Jethro also knew the truth of his genetic heritage, although she suspected it was more that the teen did not think about sharing rather than intentionally keeping Bec in the dark.

When the girl bought up how she had found the pair she froze, then she gave the girl a slightly bemused smile. "Not exactly, though Dean might differ, because he got a strong lecture on being safe and such from me." She paused and then sighed a little. "It's not exactly easy trying to play the stern guardian to someone with an eidetic memory and excellent hearing so can recall things I had done in my own youth." She shook her head and then smiled at Bec, it was a gentle smile. "You were both clothed, that leant truth to your both saying nothing had happened, so he didn't get into much trouble." She took a sip of her own coffee as she decided not to voice that after the shock, it was good to know that the pair were getting along so well, Bec was a good influence, she could only hope that she would influence Dean and not too much the other way.

"That's good," she said as she moved to stand up. "Thank you, for not telling my parents, Sassy." With a warm smile, she motioned to the door. "I better get back to work before Dean gets back. He mentioned something he had to show me. Though if its another video game with all the shooting, I just might have to throw something at him. See ya."

With a wave, she made her way out of the room. She felt better now that Sassy and her had spoken. Granted it was very awkward, but it turned out all right. Now she could tell Dean that they had spoken, hopefully he'd be glad about that. With teenage boys it was so hard to tell... With a slight laugh, she headed back to work.

(OOC- That's okay, we can stop here. We had talked about Bec having a breakdown at school and Dean having to pull her away from everyone. I think we said something like one the more popular girls messing with her and she just snapping or something. What do you think?)
