Kitty's Journey

[Tokia Hiruma-Yasukah]

Story so far:

Kitty Pride, a strong trainer with a great group of Pokemon, has been going through Routes One and Two on her quest to reach Sezoro City. Along the way, she's caught a multitude of Bird Pokemon. Just recently, Kitty captured a Caterpie, and is trying to hatch a mysterious egg she's stumbled across...

[Kitty Pride]

Kitty had her Bird Pokemon out for the moment and she was carrying the egg wondering what kind of Pokemon will hatch from it. She made sure that she kept it warm and well cared for so nothing bad could happened to it but she had Brave Bird, Fearless, and Thysandraer on her two shoulders as she carefully walked around heading to the next town. She was keeping her newly caught Caterpie which she named Thaedys in his Pokeball for the time being but once she stops so that can relax some she will let him out and get to know him better.

"Well everyone it seems that we all have been through so much already since we all met one another," she said to her friends. "Starly" Brave Bird said gently pulling on Kitty's hair to show his affection towards her. "Spearow," Fearless said nodding her head. "Taillow, Tai," Tysandraer said also nodding his head. "I wonder what will hatch out of this egg. Well for now we'll just watch it and care for it until the Pokemon hatches from it," Kitty said before she continued on looking for a good place for them to rest.

A brilliant flash of light greeted Kitty as she wandered into a completely deserted clearing. There was nothing there, just pristine beauty. It was the kind of place Rose would've loved.

Rose was a trainer that had accompanied Kitty on her journeys early on, but split off from her earlier on in Route Two. She was very elegant and a gifted Pokemon trainer, but... she must've wanted something different from Kitty.

Kitty came upon the clearing that cause things to brighten for her. She looked around and saw how wonderful this place would have been. She remembered her new friend Rose at that time and felt a small sadness come upon her because she knew that Rose would have love seeing this. She let her sadness past though her Pokemon felt it. Brave Bird, Fearless, and Tysandraer began to gently touch her with their beaks to give her comfort. Kitty smiled and petted each of them, when she had a good grip on the egg she was carrying. "Thanks everyone. I'll be fine. We'll rest here for now but I believe we'll continue on this journey. I think we are close to the next town," she said.

All three birds cooed as Kitty petted them and nodded their heads. Kitty found a place she believe to be comofortable and carefully sat down there. She made sure she was in the shade so that it wouldn't get too hot for everyone. She sat the egg down carefully and made sure it stayed close to her before she got Thaedys' Pokeball out and said, "Thaedys come on out and meet everyone." She threw his ball up in the air to let him out.

Thaedys sheepishly popped out of his Poke Ball, staring blankly into the faces of the Bird Pokemon before him. Thaedys blanched; birds were bugs' worst enemies! Thaedys attempted to hide from the three birds beneath a patch of grass.

Brave Bird, being the senior of the birds, toddled over to Thaedys and offered a wing. Brave Bird knew that Thaedys would be an excellent addition to Kitty's team, and didn't want it to be afraid.

Tysandraer, on the other hand, couldn't care less about etiquette. It flew over to Thaedys and began chirping happily at the top of its lungs. "Taillow, tai tai low!"

Thaedys hid even deeper in the ground.

Kitty smiled when she saw that Brave Bird was trying to get Thaedys to feel more comfortable around being near birds but she saw that Thysandraer ruined it by chirping loudly and happily. She knew that he meant it as a welcome but it jsut seemed to just scare Thaedys more because he began to hid deeper in the grass that he was starting to hide from. Kitty moved and gently pick up her little Caterpie and held him close to her before she sat back where she was sitting before. She then gently began to rub Caterpie to help comfort him and to let him know that everyone here doesn't mean him any harm.

She began to hum a soft lullaby that just seemed to come to her as she spoke to Thaedys, "Shh it's alright Thaedys. No one here will harm you they just want to become your friends if you will let them. I want to become friends with you too if you will let me." She continued to hum the soft lullaby to help continue to comfort Thaedys the best that she could so that he wouldn't be afraid anymore.

Thaedys, calmed by Kitty's soothing voice, drifted into a deep sleep. The bird Pokemon watching the scene couldn't help but feel moved by Kitty's caring nature. Brave Bird snuggled up with Kitty and tried to fall asleep as well, but its vigilant nature kept it from getting anything done.

Tysandraer wasn't willing to accept that Thaedys could just fall asleep, though. It was intrigued by the new Pokemon - it was so different from the rest of his friends! Tysandraer began to playfully peck at Kitty, as if trying to release Thaedys from her arms.

Fearless, not really caring, stared at the moon and swayed with the wind.

Kitty smiled when she felt Thaedys fell asleep. She continued to hum the lullaby before she felt Brave Bird snuggled close to her and tried to fall asleep but couldn't she continued to hold Thaedys with one of her arms against her as she continued to hum and gently pet Brave Bird with tenderness. She then felt Tysandraer playfully peck her. Kitty looked at Tysandraer and stop the lullaby for a moment to say, "Tysandraer give Thaedys time to get use to you all before you try to get to know him better. You shouldn't force a new friend to pay attention to you because it might scare them off or frighten them." She then gently reach up with the hand that was petting Brave Bird to pet Tysandraer.

She then looked and saw that Fearless was looking up at the moon and swaying with the wind. "Fearless are you alright girl," she asked before she went back to humming the lullaby so that Thaedys can continue to rest and relaxed near her. She knew that he still need comfort even while he was sleeping. She then watch her three birds to see how they will reacted after she spoke to Tysdandraer and Fearless.

Fearless stared into the moon, transfixed by its ethereal beauty. Fearless knew Kitty was a bit concerned about her sudden odd behavior, but, being the only other female in the group, Kitty should've been able to understand. Fearless nodded once to Kitty, to tell her that she was alright, before she returned to the moon. Ah, the nighttime. A strange, majestical place.

Thaedys was fast asleep in Kitty's arms. Tysandraer was frustrated by this turn of events, so he flew off onto a tree stump and fell into an angry sleep. Brave Bird was the only Pokemon who seemed immune to the chaos of the world around him, and he sat next to Kitty, as if protecting her.

"Chirp?" Brave Bird offered, a bit shocked by the odd sound he made.

Kitty smiled when she saw that Fearless was alright. After a bit she understood what Fearless was doing. She reach over and tenderly pet her before she carefully stood up with Thaedys in her arms and went to gently touch Tysandraer since she noticed that he flew off to the nearest tree stump and went into an angry sleep. "I'm sorry your upset Tysandraer but you will understand this better later on. I'll help you to understand it better after we all get some sleep," she said to him softly not sure if he heard her voice. She gently and tenderly petted him as well before she went back to where she was sitting before.

She noticed that Brave Bird stayed near her as if to protect her. Once she sat down gently once more so as not to wake Thaedys she heard Brave Bird's odd sound that he just made. She looked at him before she wrapped her free arm around him and gave him a gentle hug. "Let's get some sleep Brave Bird okay. We still have a ways to go before we get into the next town and there is no telling what will happen tomorrow. So we will need our rest," she said softly before she gave him a final tender petting and got comfortable with Thaedys in her arms and her other friends nearby.

As Kitty and her Pokemon slept throughout the night they were unaware that they were being watched... or at least heard. As silent as they were three Zubat's flung out of the trees and faced directly towards Kitty's direction. Without second thought the Zubat's began emitting sonic waves that were meant to confuse enemies or create large, screeching sounds. Only one of the Pokemon were able to hear the sound being made.

When Tysandraer awoke, he immediately spotted the Zubat's clinging onto the air in front of them. Without hesitation the small, blue bird began chirping out to his fellow teammates. If he was to fight these bats, he'd need some help. He called out to every Pokemon there was on Kitty's team. This woke Fearless, Brave Bird and Thaedys. The four Pokemon glared at the Zubats hanging above them.

[Kitty Pride]

Kitty woke up at the sound of the Supersonic attack from the Zubat though at the time she didn't think it was a Zubat until she open her eyes and saw how her Pokemon where acting as they made their sounds. When she saw the Zubat and her four Pokemon were glaring at them she got up on her feet and counted the Zubat seeing that there were four of them which is a even amount for each of her Pokemon. She knew that in order to get these Zubat to go away she will have to defeated all four of them. "It seems that we have unwanted company. I'm not sure why you are here Zubat but if you are not here to battle then move along okay" Kitty said.

Kitty looked at her four friends and called out to them by saying their name and then telling them what attacks to use and on which Zubat if the Zubat decided to attack instead of moving along like she asked, "Brave Bird if those Zubat decide to attack instead of going on then use Growl and follow it up with a Tackle attack on the far left Zubat. Tysandraer you are to use Focus Energy and then use Peck on the far right Zubat. Fearless you are to use Growl and then Peck on the middle left Zubat. Finally Thaedys you are to use String Shot on all of them if you can if not then use it on the middle right Zubat and then go in for a Tackle attack. But do this only if you see that the Zubat decide to attack and not move on."

The original status attacks that Kitty used were useless. The Zubat's were too high or too strong to be affected by the moves. However the Pokemon managed to land an attack or two on every Zubat. The Starly flew and tackled the exact Zubat that Kitty commanded. The Caterpie jumped in the air and tackled the other Zubat. Tysandraer and Fearless took flight and slammed the Zubat's with a high powered Peck attack.

This angered the Zubats. Each aimed for a leech life but missed all four. However two of the Zubats cast a supersonic attack that ended up confusing Tysandraer and Bravebird. That left Fearless and Thaedys the only ones able to attack without emitting the attacks on themselves. What was Kitty gonna do next?

[Kitty Pride]

"Oh no Brave Bird, Tysandraer," Kitty called when she saw them confused. She didn't have a way to get them out of their confusion unless she called them both back into their Pokeballs and sending them back out but the only way she can do that is to take care of two of the Zubats. She looked at her two remaining Pokemon that will be able to do battle without getting damaged done to themselves.

"Fearless and Thaedys finish two of those Zubat off with two Pecks from you Fearless and two jumped tackles from you Thaedys. To do a jump Tackle Thaedys use your tail like a spring if you can to hit the far left Zubat and Fearless you go at the second left Zubat," she said.

She wasn't sure if this will finish off two of the Zubat but she hopes it will. That way she will have a slight chance to call both Brave Bird and Tysandraer back into their Pokeballs and then back out again. She would like to capture one of these Zubat but not at the cost of her friends getting hurt by them.

Kitty looked frustrated. Two of her Pokemon were severely confused at the moment and she had no antidote or berry to get rid of the confusion. That left her with only two choices. Run or fight. She took the hard way. Giving her commands, Fearless took flight and pecked a Zubat straight in the wind knocking it off balance. The Zubat lost control and landed in a tree. Striking the wings of a flying Pokemon does extreme damage.

Thaedys went next. Using his tail, the caterpie jumped as far as he could in the air and tackled the Zubat in the face. The Zubat fell back a few feet but remained in the air. Now the Pokemon needed to switch targets to make more damage but the Zubats were quick enough to attack. One Zubat aimed for Brave Bird and struck a leech life. Not much damage came considering it wasn't very effective. The other Zubat tried a supersonic on Tysandraer but it was already confused.

The other two Zubats used an ultra supersonic wave that aimed for Caterpie and Spearow. Caterpie began spraying string shots everywhere which was big enough to block the sonic waves. Finally Fearless struck the Zubat with another Peck attack and Theadys tackled the other. Now it was Kitty's turn to think of another plan or keep it.
