Let's Get Ztarted, Johto trainers

Mint ran into the forest, waiting for her companians to catch up. Suddenly feeling a tinge playful, the blue-haired trainer took a sharp turn into some dark, foreboding trees. As she ran, she looked back over her shoulder, letting a small laugh slip out. Suddenly, she was suspended for a moment in the air.

She had to tear her head around to see a rather large spiderweb that had just obstructed her path. As she struggled to get away, she became more entangled until she fell to the ground covered in web.

Mitchel ran as fast as he could to catch up with Mint. He couldn't believe how far she had gotten ahead of them. He looked at all the surrounding trees in the forest. They were really tall and he could spot many bug Pokemon crawling up and down the trees. Mitchel searched for Mint but no sign of her. "Where'd she go?" He asked Shiro while scratching his head.

Just then from the corner of his eye he spotted Mint caught in a gigantic spider-web. "Yelch!" Was all he could say. He hated spider-webs. As he watched Mint struggle she had fallen to the ground. Mitchel ran over and began to help her get untangled through the webs. "How did you get into this mess?" He asked finally grabbing her arm as he pulled her up. "This happen to you a lot?"

Shiro raced towards the forest after Mint and Mitchel. As they got into the forest, Mitchel asked, "Where'd she go?"

"I'm not sure," Shiro replied. He suddenly saw Mint on the ground, covered in webs.

"Yelch!" Mitchel said, a revolted expression crawling across his face. "How did you get into this mess? This happen to you a lot?" He helped Mint out of the webs, and Shiro knelt down to tear the rest off.

"This is Spinirak silk," Shiro said. "We used to have a whole bunch of them by my house. I've always thought they were kind of cool," he smiled. He helped Mint up. "There must be some of them nearby..." He stared looking through the webs.

As the boys helped her out of the webs, Mint looked at the surrounding area. It was absolutely covered in webs. Shiro mentioned that they must be Spinirak webs and he wandered off.

"Spiniraks? Those spiders?" She thought back to Jhoto. "I've only see a few. They're kind of cute. But Ariados scare me a little."

As Mint, Shiro and Mitchel wandered the forest Mint had gotten tangled in a web. After she was helped out by her friends Shiro began to wander. What he didn't realize was that too many Pokemon were watching him. However he was too far ahead of Mitchel and Mint. As they continued a wild Spinarak slipped down on its web and stopped in front of Mitchel with it's scary face on its back in front of him.

As Mitchel helped Mint up he followed behind her and Shiro. The Forest was big and he really hated bugs. Well not all bugs of course he did have Freema so you couldn't say all! As he wandered he stopped. When he turned around a wild spider spun down in front of him. Mitchel freaked out and screamed. "Aaaagghh!"

Mitchel fell back and landed on his butt. He was freaking out at the Spinarak. He pulled out a pokeball and pointed it at the spider. "Chomper use water gun! Blow it away!" Totodile came out and immediately blasted water at the Spinarak. "Toto toto!"

Shiro continued to look for the spider Pokemon. Before long he realized he'd gone rather far away from Mint and Mitchel.

"Oh, I guess I should turn back." He walked slowly back the way he came, still watching for any sign of the arachnid he sought.

Mint watched as a Spinarak lowered itself into Mitchel's face. He screamed and flew back, releasing his Totodile to attack it. "Aww," Mint scowled, sending out her Chikorita to stop Chomper, "That's not fair! It wasn't even attacking you!"

Mint ran over to the Spinarak, who was now on the ground, and picked it up gently. "Are you okay?" she asked. Mint had always had a soft spot for bug and grass types.

Just about when the Spinarak was gonna get hit, Reffa stopped it and looked at Totodile. Mint ran up and picked up the Spinarak. As she was cradling it, the Spinarak looked at Mint. "Spineeer!" It began to spray string shot at Mint's face and scurried out of her hands and stood next to Mitchel. Obviously this was one girl spider that didn't like girls touching her.

Mitchel almost burst out laughing as the Spinarak sprayed silk in her face. It looked pretty funny. Chomper just sat down laughing. Mitchel tried to hush him but it was no use. When the Spinarak swooped down it scurried over to his leg. Mitchel shrieked and felt disgusted but didn't say a thing. Did this thing like him or something.

Mitchel fell back and stared at the sky. Well the trees really. They covered the sky so only a little light shown on the forest ground. Mitchel sighed and stood up. He walked over to help Mint but Totodile was quicker and sprayed a water gun in her face to wash it out. Mitchel was frustrated with Chomper but was preoccupied helping Mint dry off. The Spinarak climbed up on his shoulder. "It's not that bad I guess."

Shiro met up with his friends and was a bit stupefied. "How did so much happen? I was gone for what, five minutes?" He knelt down and tore the remaining thread off of Mint. "Oh," he said, turning and looking at the Spinarak on Mitchel, "You found one! Awesome!"

Just as Mint was attempting to comfort the Spinarak, it sprayed her in the face with silk. And as if to make matters worse, Chomper sprayed it with water, making it runny and gooey. Mitchel and a few minutes later Shiro ended up getting it off.

"Geeze, yuck," Mint spat, "Why is it that everything I attempt to help hates me?"

The Spinarak looked at Mint. It was very sorry for spraying her. She was just frightened. ((Wouldn't we all be frightened by a girl like Mint? xD)) Spinarak crawled up Mitchel's back and onto his shoulder. She seemed to not mind Shiro at all either. She waited a while. She could feel something stirring around the forest.

Mitchel felt the spider crawl up his back. He wanted to scream so much but used his courage not to. He looked at Mint who didn't seem happy at all. Mitchel could feel the Spinarak shaking on his shoulder and it wasn't because of Mint. He looked at Shiro and then to the Spinarak. "Somethings wrong!"

He felt the Spinarak shake and shiver. When it did this it didn't seem good. It was as if he could feel the Pokemon's emotions. He closed his eyes and began listening to the forest. Nothing! He opened his eyes and shook it off his mind. "So where'd you go Shiro?" He asked just remembering he had left earlier.

Chomper still jumped around. "Toto-toto. Toto-toto. Toto-toto!" Mitchel gave an irritated look at Chomper. Now he was really getting on his nerves but what could he do? It was his Pokemon and it was playful. He smiled at the dancing Big Jaw.

"Somethings wrong!" Mitch caught Shiro's attention. Shiro watched as Mitch tried to listen for something, and then ignored it. "So where'd you go Shiro?"

"I went to go look for Spiniraks," he smiled, "I've always wanted one. But it looks like you guys found one before I did." Shiro knelt down eye -level with the Spinirak and smiled, but stayed where he was. "It's too bad this little one didn't like Mint very much."
