"Sorry for barging in like this, ma'am. We'd probably be on our way if Bren over there wasn't so freaking scared of ghosts." Roxy called out.
Brendan glared at Roxy. How predictable of her. Charmander looked at Brendan. Brendan got a little steemed. Before he could answer, Tokia finally made it inside. She took the blanket and answered for him.
"Brendan isn't scared of ghosts," Tokia corrected. "Just Ghost-type Pokemon. I'm sorry, Ma'am, if we've caused you any trouble."
Brendan sighed. Wouldn't Roxy be shocked. Then again, Brendan never saw a real ghost before so he wasn't sure if he was afraid of real ghosts or not.
"Thanks Tokia." Bren replied.
"Ma'am, can I ask you a question? Why did you help us and why do you live here?" Jerran asked.
The lady looked at the four of them. Brendan wondered the same thing and maybe the girls were too. The old lady walked over to the Vaporeon and petted it. She looked as if she was hiding something. The Vaporeon yawned and jumped up and walked off. The lady sat down and looked at the four of them.
"These routes are guarded by a strong foggy mist. Created by the power of the light of the moon and various power of some ghost and dark Pokemon. It's a wonder but only water Pokemon are able to withstand the fog and travel through it. That's why Vapie and I live in these woods. We help innocent trainers that travel through here, and keep them here until morning."
"But what about flying pokemon? Aren't they able to block the fog with some wind power?" Brendan asked.
"The power of wind can't stop the fog. It's a mystery why but Vapie and I never figured it out." She said quietly.
She stood up and walked over to her kitchen counter.
"Would any of you like tea?"
