A Glaceon clothed in a pale, pink scarf walked along a well trodden dirt trail, her paws leaving trails in the fresh snow behind her. The winds were brisk, tossing her accessory about in the breeze, but she didn't really mind the cold. She had heard rumors of Pokemon living around this area, which was why she was taking the time to travel here and try to muster up the courage to try fitting in. Her last few towns hadn't really done much for her, but despite her shyness, she couldn't bear to be alone. Sometimes, she wondered if she should have stayed with her sister, but the past couldn't be rewritten. That chapter of her life was well over, and life on her own was well underway.

The ice Pokemon paused in her voyage, watching one particular snowflake flutter down to land on the ground in front of her, blending in perfectly with all the other millions of flakes. "How pretty..." she murmured, fascinated. She shook her head, remembering that she should be getting close to the valley soon.

After a few more minutes of walking in the same, light snow, she stopped abruptly. She could hear the sounds of other living creatures not far away, and beneath the crisp scent of snow, could make out the scents of other Pokemon as well. Her heart began fluttering, and she wondered if she was brave enough to try this again. Unable to make up her mind, she simply stood there, staring off into the whiteness ahead of her.

Why am I here again?
It was a new day, a day in the springtime. Sadly, there was some harsh weather. Light snow, reaching up to the ankles of the foot, cold weather, and one not about weather. A squirtle with a mean attitude. Personally, he didn't like it when he was out in the cold. Espiecally when he felt chilled. All he had was his fancy accessory, his green bow. He muttered out something, perhaps about not being able to wear his slick, black shades. With a groan, he trudged forward, ignoring the pokemon he passed. They all had fun in their own pesky way, which irritated him. When he was in harsh weather, he would blend along and get harsh as well. His black eyes squinted as the brisk wind blew, bringing a bit of snow along with it. He felt as if it was a snowstorm, but there was a cause for this. Of all the little..

His eyes still squinted, yet got a good view of how the scene was right now. A diglett seemed to be digging into the snow, but was unaware of the snow he dug up was blowing in wind's way. His eyes showed fury, yet his lips curved into a sly smirk. He had a plan. Sorta like what he did with those wingulls back at the beach. Maybe that'll stop him. He strolled along, passing the diglett, but looked back at him with that sly smirk again. As he took that second to make sure he wasn't looking at him, he swiftly enlarged his mouth and shot bubbles at the pokemon. Of course, he didn't take another look to see if it hit, for he did not want to get caught. All he did was pass through, still smirking after that scene. He sure was being an evil one.

Joseph walked along the snowy path, unaware of the Glaceon a few feet away from him. His eyes were set on the sky, which filled with clouds and only revealed a bit of the blue sky. He didn't know why his black eyes focused on the cloudy ceiling, all he knew was that he was somewhat attracted to it. There was nothing else that had a good view, so what could he lose? Just when he was an inch away from the frozen Glaceon, his head tilted to moderate height just as he tripped onto the the ice-type pokemon. He didn't see if the Glaceon had fallen with him, yet he stood up afterwards, brushing off the snow on his body. Glaring at the Glaceon infront of him, harsh words came out of his mouth, with a rude tone to go with it.

"Watch where you're going, you idiot!"

Claire's ears twitched up in stunned surprise as she saw a Squirtle with a little green bow tie trudging through the light snow, his black eyes fixed on the clouds above. She felt a wave of nervousness course through her, and all her time she had spent mentally preparing for her first introduction to someone in the valley was wasted. Her mouth stayed shut, though her legs had finally decided to move. Unsure of herself, she began padding to the side, not wanting to be in the way of this stranger. But, her limbs had apparently moved too slowly, as the turtle Pokemon still hadn't noticed her and had, instead, bowled right into her.

Scrabbling to get a grip on the icy ground after having her balance thrown off, she slipped to the side, landing roughly on the snow pelted ground. The impact left her side feeling sore, but as her eyes fluttered open again, she saw the Squirtle already standing up and brushing the snow off of himself. Not wanting to seem like a total klutz, she forced herself upward, finally finding all of her paws firmly set on the ground. The turtle Pokemon then scowled at her, irritation flowing off of every feature on his face.

"Watch where you're going, you idiot!"

The Glaceon gasped, feeling as if the stranger had just struck her a blow. She had some awkward first-time meetings in other towns, but this was definitely the worst. The very first Pokemon she met already thought of her as a clumsy idiot! Not wanting to meet his angered gaze, Claire looked straight down at her paws, which were covered in the soft snow. Her tongue was still reluctant to work, but she decided that she just needed to spit out an apology after bothering this Squirtle so much.

"I-I'm sorry, sir," she said, her voice airy with fear of him still being upset with her. "I didn't mean to bump into you, I mean, it was an accident..." She didn't even look up to watch his face to see if he was still irritated with her, as she knew that would only make herself feel more hopeless.

Joseph was still in a rough mood, for the weather wasn't in favour for him today. He knew he left a bad impression to the Glaceon, but his mind didn't care. Making him trip.. it was an embarrasment, and if he could burst into flames right now, the snow on his feet would melt instantly. Though it would be a good idea for his sake, it wasn't very possible for a Squirtle to do such a thing. No matter how enraged they may be. As he saw the ice pokemon tumble to the ground, he scoffed as she seemed to hit the ground hard. Though it seemed like she was going to be alright. Not that he was concerned. His eyes followed her movements, seeing her eyes just blink and blink, suprised by what just happened. He folded his soft, blue arms and simply smirked at the girl. That devious smile, his straight posture, surely, he was going to do something unexpected. Keeping his arms crossed, his eyes were simply glued to the Glaceon, but not in the love kind, nor the good kind.

Once hearing her hurt gasp, his smirk lowered, holding a straight face. She seemed to shy to even look him straight at the face, which caused him to scowl. He wanted to at least catch a glimpse of this stranger, so he could recognize her face the next time they meet.. if they do. Her eyes were blankly looking at her snow-covered feet, which made him sigh. How long was this awkward silence supposed to continue? Yet it broke by the voice of the Glaceon, slightly high-pitched like normal girl pokemon. It was in a shy tune, obvious with constant stutters. She then apologized for the incident, feeling that sense of forgiveness she wanted. He groaned, muttering out words he thought he wouldn't say in situations like this.

"Ugh.. it's okay."

He rolled his eyes again, annoyed by her constant stutters and such. Knowing that this conversation would die soon enough, he took a deep breath and spoke again. "So, you new here?"

Hearing the Squirtle mutter what seemed to be as close to an apology as she would get, she finally looked up from her snow covered paws and up to his face. Though his tone was not extremely kind, she felt glad that he had seemed to forgive her for her embarrassing blunder. Maybe, just maybe, there was a nice Pokemon underneath that grumpy shell. Just maybe. Or, perhaps he really was mean. Claire didn't like to think of people that way, though, so she would have to know this Squirtle better before she truly made up her mind.

Her opportunity came more quickly than she had expected when the water type finally broke the awkward silence spanning between them. With a bored rolling of his dark eyes, he began asking her if she was a newcomer to the town. This unnerved her a bit, in all honesty. Were the Pokemon of the valley really so tightly knit that they would see her as an outsider? His question seemed slightly forced, as if he was only doing this because he had to, but it seemed a polite enough question. "Yeah," she admitted, a tiny nod accompanying her words. Miraculously, her eyes were still focused on the Squirtle and hadn't slunk back to the ground, which was a good sign. Still, her paws kneaded the powdery white snow below her in unease, but that was hopefully less obvious to the stranger.

"I heard rumors of a place here called Pokemon Valley," she told him, her mind wandering back a bit to her time spent traveling. Hopefully, those times of being alone were done and over, as they certainly hadn't been one of her better time periods in life. "You must be from around there, right?" she asked, immediately feeling stupid after asking that. Shouldn't that have been obvious to her? Here she was, wandering about aimlessly, while he actually seemed quite busy when he stumbled into her. He must have been doing something town-related, or at least have some sort of house nearby. Figuring that perhaps he wouldn't notice her stating the obvious, she watched the wind tug at her scarf absentmindedly as she awaited his response.
