These are the basic rules that apply to PlanetHero RPG! These rules were developed in order to deliver a fun and creative experience for all to enjoy. If the following set of guidelines have been broken, by the staff, players, or even guests, depending on the severity of the rule(s) broken, Administration will be forced to deal suitable justicifiation..you'll either be locked up ina mental facility or sent to the cosmos for all eturnity. Seriously, just adhere to the rules, and everyone can enjoy themselves here at PlanetHero RPG!

General

Do Not Plagiarize
- Plagiarism is an offense which can, and in most cases, will, cause you to be in contact with authorities of whatever nature. Plagiarism, in itself, is a real crime with serious offenses. If PH! sees any type of plagiarism on the board (unless otherwise allowed with a personal disclaimer), your application will be immediately revoked, and you, as a player, will be banned from PH!. In other words..DO STEAL ANOTHER'S WORK!

Keep Your Attitude in Check
- If a player begins developing self-righteous or indignant attitude towards others or the group as a whole, PH! reserves the right to revoke a player's character(s) in favor of maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere for the remainder of the players. PH! will not tolerate belligerent behavior of its members towards one another; this is a role-playing group designed to provide an entertaining, and enjoyable fantasy world. If you develop a problem with another player or PH! staff member, then take it up with that person via the PM. Your situation should remain private and not take control on the boards. If a resonable outcome can not be sorted out, then talk it over with Admin.

Character Limit
- The players and staff at PlanetHero RPG are only allowed three characters maximum, unless otherwise discussed with PH! Administration. This keeps your concentration focused rather then spread out among 10 different characters. It will be easier on you and the staff.

Signatures
- PlanetHero RPG does allow graphic signatures and avatars. The maximum size for a signature is 350x350 (350 width, 350 height) pixels, avatars may only be 120x110 (120 width, 110 height). Anything larger and you will be asked to change it. Avavtars will be automatically resized if too large. Only one (1) banner, pic, etc will be allowed. Also the signature should include the character's power icons or a written list of powers. This will be used as a quick and easy guide

Applications

Not Reading the Template
- All applications MUST follow the template to the letter. There is a full code to copy and paste, so even the individule with the least amount of intelligence could not get it wrong. C&P the code and simply fill in the missing details. If an application comes in with any missing data, it may be denied.

Oiginal Characters Only
- PlanetHero RPG is an original RPG only, which means we do not allow any current or past existing characters from the Marvel Universe, DC, Image, or any other established comic. Which means do NOT apply as Superman, Batman, Wolverine..etc..or your application will be automatically denied and discarded.

In-Character

No God-Moding
- Absolutely no God moding. Everybody can be killed, even "immortals". You can't control other characters that you do not play. If you're attacking, for example, give the character a chance to defend themselves by leaving the action open in some shape or form. You cannot say the opposing character takes all the hits and dies.

Posting Limit
- Three well-written paragraphs, five to six lines each, in past tense, is the minimum length PH! sees as acceptable. How do you expect to receive a decent reply to your post if you don't provide the other player with anything to work with? The board on average exceeds more than three paragraphs per post, so keep in mind the minimum is a suggestion.

Be In-Character
- Be your character. Remember it was you who came up with the character. Who better to know what they are capable or incapable of doing or saying. Do NOT use common internet lingo IN Character. Nobody says 'LOL' or spells 'are you going' as 'RU going'. It's not correct in real life situations and will NOT be tollerated here.

Mature Posts
- NC-17 Mature Content posts are allowed, so long as you give a 'MATURE CONTENT WARNING' in the title. But remember any actual sexual situations will be removed by PH! staff and/or you may recieve a warning.

Spell-Check
- Spell check! SPELL check! SPELL CHECK! This can't be emphasized enough. English/American spelling differences, of course, are fine and so are some mistakes. But a post riddled with misspellings, tense changes, and punctuation errors severely lower the standards of the board. Be mindful of what you're posting, as all posts set an example.

No Excessive Swearing
- Excessive swearing will not be tolerated. This is a comic/fantasy based RPG. How many fantasy books have you read where the main character swears every few words? It's not a good look, and it makes you look less intelligent. Sure, the occasional curse is fine, as well as if it is in your character's personality to swear, but be imaginative with your word smithing.

No Abandoned Posts
- Do not make abandoned posts. This clutters up the board with useless topics, making the board seem shallow and uninteresting. If you make a thread, try to stick with it until the point is over with, then have your character move on. You are not allowed to just up and leave a thread if the action is somewhere else. If creating threads on a consistent basis, for whatever means, posting once or twice a day and immediately closing the thread afterwards just to make a new one in the same day three or four times (a.k.a. thread hopping) is grounds for suitable consequences.

To Be Continued (TBC)
- If your character leaves a thread, it MUST be accompanied by an exit post as well as a note to say where your character will be continuing, e.g. "TBC: [somewhere]". TBC stands for To Be Continued. This helps keep everything neat and tidy and helps out the Admins with the activity list and plot listings keeping track of everyone.

No Time-Shifts
- Your character cannot be in two places at once (aka: don't post your character in New York while posting for them in London as well; leave one place, arrive at another). Yes, there're certain times when there's no other choice, but don't make a habit of it. There is also no set time or "Time Warps" on PH!. Everything happens at the same time, all the time. If a conflicting situation arrises, please contact Admin and the problem will be delt with accordingly.

Major PlanetHero plots and Storylines
- In some cases there will be a major plot or storyline developed from the entire roster to be apart of. Please follow any posted rules or situations that may apply. If there's a storyline going on and you decide to go do your own storyline - don't, please. This causes mass confusion with nobody knowing where to go. Mini-storylines are acceptable (remember it's sometimes better to ask to make sure a board-wide doesn't start up in the middle of your storyline), but if a story-line affects the whole board, go through one of the Admins first.

NPCs
- Non-Playable Characters do and will come up during boardwide plots the grand majority of the time. However, this does not mean you can create an NPC for your own character's benefit. If you wish to do a solo thread that doesn't have an effect on the majority of the board, then you're more than welcome to have very minor NPCs as long as they appear in your solo thread only.

Activity

Inactivity
- Players have 15 days between posts before characters are considered abandoned. If you fail to post after the grace period, your character is subject to dismissal and/or removal. If you know that you may be inactive for ANY length of time, please post it the AWOL board. This lets the staff and other players know of your current situation
