Here are the rules of the forum (other mods or admins may update this as well)
Respect other forum posters. This means no slurs about race, religion, ethnic or national background, etc. This also includes put-downs involving sexual orientation. I'm generally not a prejudiced person, so I'd appreciate it if you guys would be the same around here.

If you have a problem with someone, PM a mod or admin. Do not flame or personally attack the person. I reserve the right to ban or suspend any user that personally attacks or flames another user.

No spam. Keep that junk in The Asylum. It's there for a reason.

Keep roleplay to the roleplay (RP) catagory. I don't mind the occasional stuff used in normal conversation, just don't make anything big out of it.

Me and the Admins and Moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any post, or warn, restrict, and ban members at their own will if they feel a member breaks any of the rules of the board.

Don't flame the Mods. If you have a problem with one, or if you think that a mod is abusing their power, ask another for help. However, do not do this in open forum. Contact and Admin (Silverlaser) or another moderator by PM or some sort of messenger service (AIM, YIM, MSN... whatever).

I'd appreciate it if you did not post links or pictures that are not safe for work. If you must do so, state it in the title of the thread, but I will most likely lock or delete the topic. Also do not post links to sites having to do with illegal activity such as warez or what-not.

You are responsible for you own posts. Don't try to play the blame game.

Don't. Use. Leet Speak. I'm sorry, but I don't want to see this crap on the forum. take it somewhere else. I may be a BIT tolerant of this... but don't expect much if I'm around to see it.

You're allowed to have ONE, and only one, account on the forum. WE CAN SEE YOUR IP ADDRESS. We're not stupid. Having more than one forum account will most likely result in an IP ban. Along with this, you will be help responsible for anything that comes from your IP. Excuses like won't work. If you want your name changed, talk to an admin. If more than one person in your household uses the computer and might use these forum, instead of talking to any admin about it, send the PM straight to me (Silverlaser)

Do not post threads asking the opinion about another person. These types of threads spout flame-wars. We'll lock the thread and temporarily ban the account from posting.
These may not be rules... but will most likely get you warned:

- Asking to be a moderator or admin. I (Silverlaser) will set up hiring threads when I need mods or admins.

- Posting about politics. Those seem to start flame wars. Keep it in the debate forum.

- Thread Gravedigging (Generally if a thread has been dead for 1-2 weeks... please don't dig it back up unless you have a really good reason.)

- Godmodding in roleplays.

- Complaining about the rules when they're being enforced.

- Excessive cursing.

- Excessive use of emoticons.

-Posting Links to youtube or other videos or flash cartoons or pictures or sites without giving a description of what it is you're linking to.(Put them in the youtube video thread)

- Having too long of a signature will result in the content being changed by us... so be careful. Also, videos are prohibited in your sig. These get very distracting.

[Registering Multiple Accounts|Same IP]
As said in the rules, you are permitted to have only one account on the forum. If more than one person is using the computer for your IP, inform LowRes or another mod first to get permission (this requires providing proof). If you are caught with more than one account without permission, all of your accounts will be banned. I've seen way too many problems with this kind of stuff on other forums.

[Warning System]
Your warn level initally starts at 0% and goes up in increments of 20. A mod will increase your level when you break the rules. It goes down after a certain amount of time when you follow the rules. When you reach 100%, the next time you would be warned, you'll be temporarily banned from posting. This temp ban can last anywhere from three days to two weeks, depending upon how often and how severely you broke the rules. If you break the rules again after already being temp-banned, you will be banned permanently from the forum.

[Avatar and Signature Image Sizes]
I believe I set the maximum Avatar size at 150 pixels by 150 pixels, so you shouldn't be able to have one any larger than that. If I see anything bigger... you are probably some sort of hacker and you will purged from the forum.

[Advertising]
All advertising needs to be done in the advertising forum.

The ideal signature image size is within 700 pixel width by 200 pixel height. Large signature images are very distracting, so you'll most likely be asked politely to change the image should you have a signature image that is larger. Sometimes I'm very lenient to this rule... so I'm just asking that you be a bit reasonable with your signatures.

[Cbox]
No spamming it. We also reserve the right to make it so you can't go on the Cbox.
