Helping Hand

Hey, I showed the site to a few of my friends and they keep turning you guys down because of a couple things. For starters; A lot of them are turned off by the board descriptions and the demeaning tone in the rules. It makes us feel like it was a hassle for you to write and you don't really want us to play here at all. Next the color scheme is a little dark and at times kinda hard to read. So maybe you guys could lighten it up? Oh and I personally think we don't get enough tag points per level. I know I've already talked to you guys about this, but is it possible that maybe we can up the number from five to twenty?

Yeah I suppose your right about the cussin in the board description. We personally thought it'd be funny to do the board descriptions in the voice of one of the character's who hasn't been introduced first. Concerning the board template, it's not really my area of responsibility. If you want to get it changed, talked to Sev.

We wanted to keep the rewards for leveling low to keep people from over shooting our table.

Wow I can post as a guest? You might want to change this. It's Clovis/Leon, I was just looking at the site and I seen this topic. Thought I would be nosy. You might be able to allow more points depending on how you level up. I couldn't find anywhere the average amount of EXP handed out to the players. because if you just hand out low enough EXP, it could balance out raising the amount of points you gain from leveling.

Hmm, possibly. I'll make an EXP chart so people can find that easier, but we also don't have a real "guide" to how many pages gives what for certain reasons. Me and Metal Man will discuss your idea though, Clovis. Shouldn't be too hard to recalibrate that. And now guests can only read, so I guess you gotta register now. *Totally not trying to recruit Clovis at all*

In regard to how the boards are described and the tone of some of the rules, I just want everyone to know that it's done in character of an NPC. Kinda like the bum who knows everything about the city. I'll add a note in the announcements or somewhere so people can find it easily and they won't feel so offended. Believe us, we want you guys to come here and laugh at the way things are done around here. We're not "non nonsense" or without humor, this is more of a mockery of super heroes than anything and we just want to make you guys laugh. So if you could relay that to the people who you showed the game to, Claire, that'd be appreciated so we can clear up the misunderstanding.

As for the board, I suppose I could find something lighter. I don't have a problem with how dark it is and I have my moniter's brightness set lower than the standard.
