Hello and Welcome to Penance! If you are new to Penance, please read and familiarize yourself with the rules (and everything else) before playing. We love to have fun on the site and to have fun, it's good to know the rules.
We are finally open for others to join! Granted, we're low on members so if you manage to just take a peek in here, please let others know that we are now open and ready to start rping with you! Don't hesitate to ask for help in the C-box or PM an Administrator (ANY of us will do, I promise) with any concerns you may have.
--Penance is Almost Done!--
We still have a long way to go before we can get this site up and underway. Just a few more pushes and shoves and we'll be well on our way! Let's try our best!
This area of the world has been completely decimated by the ravage of war as well as the spread of the viral infection. Seemingly a desert, the temperatures are very intense and unless one's body is suited for this kind of environment, staying in The Wasteland can be fatal. You can pass out from the intense heat or be exposed to radiation at high levels that are impossible to cure or treat.
Civil wars or personal battles of one group against another usually take place here. Again, you're free to do battle...but don't stay out too long lest you keel over.
One of the few cities still left standing, this area is seemingly a ghost city. With vines and other types of plant life taking both root in and over the place, this "Sin City" has little electricity left running this metropolis. Most of it is now used to generate life in the world of the Underground.
The shadier crowd of the Old Generation, as well as the Demi's and Altereds, make their stand here in the evening time and won't hesitate to kill anything that enters their domain. If you must come to this place, come during the daytime.
Revered to be "The Holy Land," Rivergate Forest is the only piece of woodland that has been left untainted by the scourge of war and the X Virus. What's even more fascinating is the ruin of marble arches that appear to resemble an abbey of sorts and deemed to be the entranceway to The Forest of Rivergate. Just outside of Rivergate Forest is the last remaining river channel that contains live fish and other untainted aquatic life.
None reside here for it is considered to be sacred ground, but visitations are allowed.
