Joe trudged up the steps to the Owlery. Upon reaching the top, he entered and searched the pack of owls for his own owl Dave, who had spotted him and hooted before he flew down to Joe's outstretched arm.

Joe smiled and stroked Dave gently before he gave him a letter, which the owl obediently took by its beak. "Send it to Pat, alright?" The owl seemed to have nodded before Joe walked over to a window and held his arm out and watched Dave take flight out into the horizon.

((Since there's so very few of us, and no one else has posted with you, then I will! lol.jpg))

Zarah slowly walked up to the Owlery, though she really didn't have anything to send, she just felt the urge to come up there to see the owls. She had been up here a few times, and found a couple of owls in particular, who seemed to have taken a liking to her. She didn't know their names, or who they belonged to, but it didn't matter to her. The one owl, which was a large Snowy owl, will come to perch upon her shoulder as soon as it spots Zarah coming through the door.

As Zarah climbed the steps to the Owlery, Korali followed in her wake. The owls didn't seem to mind Korali being there with her, as Korali never gave them any fear.

Zarah stepped through the door just as an owl flapped away into the sky, and she turned to see Joe standing there watching the bird. Zarah glanced down at Korali wondering why he hadn't bothered to tell her someone was already up here, and that someone had been Joe.

She looked back at Joe and gave a small smile. "Hello Joe!" she said as she stepped into the Owlery. Instantly, the Snowy white Owl came to perch upon her shoulder, and she absentmindedly stroked it's feathers.

When Dave had escaped his line of sight, he turned to hear a greeting from Zarah just as a snowy owl he recognized came down and perched on the girl's shoulder. He turned and leaned back on the window ledge and said, "See Hedwig's taken to you. That's Harry's owl, by the way."

Zarah smiled. "She seems to...hasn't she? I thought she looked familiar...but seeing as I cannot mind~speak with birds. Not sure why...believe me I've tried...but have received nothing in response. Actually, I thought that was Harry's bird up there...hard to tell since the two looks so much alike....but now that I think about it, that one up there...I think...has more black spots on it than Hedwig does." she said as she pointed up at the Snowy Owl perched above Joe's head on the beams.

"So how you doing?" she asked him as she remembered the last time she had seen him, resting in the Hospital Wing after helping her.

Joe shrugged. "Fine. Just sent a letter off to my brother Patrick," he replied, taking a glance back out the window behind him before he returned his gaze to Zarah. "You?"

Zarah gave a small smile. "Just came up to visit the.....the owls! I know it seems a bit weird, but I feel comfortable being up here, I come up here just to visit, even though I have no one to send anything to." she replied.

"Your brother huh? Did he attend here as well?" she asked curiously. as she went to take up her normal seat upon the ledge. Hedwig still remaining on her shoulder.

Joe raised his eyebrows in reply. "He did. Like my father and mother and even myself, he was sorted into Gryffindor. He had become one of the Chasers for Gryffindor back in the day and was invited to play in the professional league. For a time, he played for England in the Quidditch World Cup, but a certain back injury stopped him from continuing, so he applied to become an Auror instead," he explained.

Zarah listened intently. "I'm sorry to hear about the injury!" she replied. "But an Auror is a good job to have...isn't it?" she added as she reached up to stroke the white feathers.

"Don't be sorry. Anything can happen in Quidditch, after all. Especially with all those annoying Bludgers flying about.." Joe said, chuckling to himself.

Ronald had wanted to send his mum letter telling he is fine . He pushed open the owlery's door and saw Joe and Zarah talking to each other. He smiled at them , get a barn owl and tied his letter to one of its legs . " The Burrow " he whispered as he threw the owl into the blue sky. He ,then , turned to face them . " Just sent a letter to my mum " he said with a smirk.

Zarah listened as Joe tells her not to be sorry, but just then she sensed someone coming and turn to the door, just as Ronald walked in. She watched as he called down an owl, tied a letter to the leg of it, then sent it off before turning to them and speaking.

Harry's owl, Hedwig hopped from her shoulder to the ledge beside her. She reached into her pocket for some owl treats and handed a few to her.

"Hello Ronald!" she said with a smile, as she looked at Joe to reply to his words. "I suppose you are right!" she said.

Joe nodded to Ronald as he entered the Owlery, giving him a small smile. "Yes, I've just sent a letter to my brother as well. I'm waiting to hear from him."

Hearing Joe , " oh ok .... Hi Zarah ! Isn't that Harry 's owl ? She looks whiter than ever ... " Upon hearing Ronald speak , Harry's owl , Hedwig flew to him and sat on his shoulder. She , then , pecked on his reddish ear affectionately. " Ooops... She loves me ..." Ronald said.

Zarah gave a smile as Hedwig recognized Ronald and flew to his shoulder. "Yes I suppose it is his owl...though I had not known it was until Joe here told me. Because as you can see..." she pointed up at the owls above them.

"There are a few up there that are white and look similar to Hedwig here, but it seems she has taken a liking to me too." she replied.

Korali now came closer to her, since the bird had found another to perch upon. She scratched his ears for a moment as she looked up at Joe.

Waiting in silence, Joe looked from Zarah to Ronald before he heard a familiar call from behind him. Turning around to the window, he saw his owl Dave flying towards him. Smiling he held out his arm and before long, his owl came to rest onto the arm, holding out one of its legs.

"Thank you, Dave," he said, patting the owl as he took the parchment tied around Dave's leg before he took out a treat for Dave. "Good work." He allowed Dave to nibble playfully at his ear for a while before he asked him to head back up to his resting place.
