Relaxing By The Lake!, Open To Any!

Panting, he straightened and headed to the lake, knowing what Zarah was doing and sheathed his sword before bending down and splashing his face with the cold water of the lake. Satisfied at the refreshing feel of the water, he sat back and gave an exhale before fully lying back on the grass, looking at the skies.

[Zarah Lyam]

Seeing Joe do the same as she, with splashing water on the face and cooling down. She sat back and watched as he laid back on the ground, staring up at the sky.

She lifted the sword, and held it out to him, hilt in one hand and blade across the palm of the other, as if presenting some gift or something. "I believe this is yours!" she said. "And thanks...I never thought on how exerting, yet useful, that would be. I appreciate you taking the time to give me some training." she added.

"Don't mention it.." Joe told her, giving off an exhale as he sat up and gripped on the sword's handle. He looked at it for a moment before he looked over to Zarah and pushed it back to her. "Keep it. You might need it."

[Zarah Lyam]

Zyrah looked at him somewhat when he told her to keep his sword. She wasn't sure of what to say. She gave a small nod, as he pushed the sword back at her. "You sure you won't need it?" she asked him, as she sat crossed legged on the ground across from him.

Joe nodded. "I'm sure."

[Zarah Lyam]

Zarah gave a smile, then laid the sword across her lap. "Thank you...it's greatly appreciated!" she said. She then turned and removed her shoes, and rolling her pant legs up, then slowly dipped her feet and legs into the lake.

The water was cooling on her skin.

Joe watched Zarah for a moment before turning to Korali. "Shall I even ask how she was just then, Korali?" he asked.

Korali lifted his black head as Joe spoke to him. { You could! I can tell you this...she is content right now! She enjoys your company much, though she may not tell you that!} Korali replied to him as he turned his head to look at Zarah.

Zarah splashed the water just a bit with her feet...suddenly something grabbed her foot and she let out a yelp, jerking her foot out of the grasp of whatever it was, so quickly and pulling her feet from the water. Korali was at her side, peering down into the water, giving a low growl.

She pushed herself back from the edge, as if expecting what ever it was to come out of the water. "What was that?" she asked as she reached down and rubbed at her ankle and foot. Looking down, she realized her ankle and foot was red and scratched a bit, small droplets of blood started from the one.

She turned a look onto Joe, then at Korali who had came over to her and was sniffing at her foot...his wet nose touching her feet, causing her to jump a little. She looked at the foot in puzzlement...it was actually hurting now...a burning feeling.

When Zarah was nearly pulled into the water, Joe quickly got onto his feet, immediately brandished his sword before Zarah pulled back to safety. Joe watched the water for a while before turning his attention to Zarah's foot, kneeling down beside her. Wonder if the squid's got anything to do with it.. he thought, examining the girl's foot.

Zarah turned to Joe as he came to her side, examining her foot and ankle...which was now swelling. Upon closer look...small darker red circles had appeared on her foot and ankle.

Looking back at the water, "What is in that lake?" she asked, trying to rub the pain from her foot and ankle. Although it felt painful, she remained calm to the pain. Something rippled the water, as if tempting her to put her feet back in...but she did not...and only moved back slightly more.

"What is that?" she asked, more to herself now than him.

"I'm not really sure... But there's supposed to be a giant squid living there..." Joe told her, watching the water cautiously, almost thinking of brandishing his sword once more.
