Pride Park Juniors v Chesapeake

After beating Chesapeake in our last meeting,we knew they would out for revenge, now if I was to list all the e-mails,phone calls, texts that were made regarding this fixture afterwards, then I would still be writing this report out come Christmas time, what happened on and off the pitch,by members of the opposition should never take place on a football field, intimidation of officials before a ball had been kicked, shouting for players to be handed yellow cards and people walking on to the pitch during breaks in play,we're just a few incidents I can mention,it was a great shame because some of the football played by both teams was fantastic, the game was evenly poised at 1-1,with Kyle scoring a beautifully taken goal, when the referee gave into crowed intimidation and handed Carlo a yellow card, now the challenge was late, but at this level,a yellow card? Never, and the cheers that followed the decision were a disgrace.
Understandably Carlo was distraught and the lads felt for him too,Carlo's a strong lad,but would never intentionally hurt anyone and this decision definitely had an effect on the boys.
Chesapeake went on to win the game 4-1,but it left a very sour taste in the mouth,if that's how teams want to win games, fine, but it's not for me and made my views known to the opposition and officials afterwards, little did I know, having an opinion and airing your views can be finically very expensive.
I then realised we still had a league meeting with Chesapeake left this season.

Final Score
Pride Park Juniors 1 v 4 Chesapeake

On a footballing note, a very good performance by the boys, that I feel,in a different atmosphere, could well of seen a more favourable result.
