There was a League meeting last week at which some details of next season were provided and details for the end of this season were also confirmed.
The u15 Challenge Cup Final will be played at Matlock Town FC's Reynolds Stadium, on Friday 29th April - but the kick off will be at 6.30pm (and not at 8pm as previously advised - the u17 Final will be played the same night and will kick off at the later time). Adult spectators are usually charged an entrance fee - there was no information provided on what the charge will be this year but last year it was £3. This helps covers the cost of staging the finals. For anybody that wants to see a Cup Final at this ground before 29th April, the Senior Ladies' Cup Final will be played on Sunday 17th April, between Ilkeston Town and Killamarsh, kick off 2pm. The League Championship Play Off decider, between the two teams that finish top of the Northern and Southern sections of the u15 League, will be played on either 14 or 21 May at Cavendish Fields at Matlock. The League's Trophy Presentation Evening will be on Thursday 26th May at Matlock Town FC Sports & Social Club, Matlock, commencing at 7pm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next season will start on Saturday 10th September. The girls have been asked to let us know next Friday whether they intend playing for PPJ next season, so we can start planning. Two teams have notified the league they will not be playing next season, so the u15 League will be played as a single league (no north/south divide) on a conventional home and away basis. Alvaston Park should be operational for next season but it is not yet clear whether 9-a-side pitches will be available to u15 teams, as we understand the City Council only propose to allocate three 9-a-side pitches for girls football. I don't believe this is a final decision so we will be lobbying batz for a more generous pitch allocation! |
