Well, 1st game of the season, 1st competative game as a team. Only 5 training sessions and 1 friendly under our belts - Expectations were not high.... However, you all proved me wrong!!!!!! The whole team gave 200% commitment throughout the full game. You never gave up and certainly never gave up the belief that we could win! From the off PPJ passed the ball well down both the left and right hand sides. There was some great long balls over the top for Dec and George to run onto, with Connor Kelly mopping up from behind. This was soon rewarded with a smooth pass through from kelly to george to SCORE!!!!! happyz Allestree came back fighting... though Ryan did some great saves, and was very brave and strong throughout!!!! They did eventually get passed us. We never let our heads go down and came into 1/2 time 2-1 up!!! with a 2nd goal from Connor Kelly. Joe Shako's first ever competative game - what a performance, welldone and thanks Joe, wellcome to the team! Joe Botham, you had another fantastic game for us, reliable as always - you kept us out of danger. Your partner in crime changed from Harvey to Connor Duddy, back to Harvey - they were both strong - well done lads!again, played a valuable part in todays result. To Joes right was Brad, some great throw ins and cleared the ball well for us to counter attack. Scott, Mason and Dom our three mid amigo's!!! - Up and down, up and down. Dont know where all that energy was coming from. Keep eating the weetabix lads- Outstanding!!!! Anyway, back to the score .....3-3 (3rd goal from George after nasty challenge on C.Kelly) - made it look sooooo easy! so, only 1 minute to the final whistle. Connor Kelly up the left wing, hit the post - but it then sat very nicely for Josh Brasso to do his stuff and bury in the back of that net !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brasso, you got your reward from all that running... Hope you survived the 'pile on LOL' PPJ - 4 Allestree - 3 Woo Woo, we deserved this lads - Fabulous result.
