First up, Zombies!

user posted image

Each Zombie took around an hour and a half to two hours to paint and I'm pretty happy with the results mostly.

There is a sixth one but I never got round to taking a good photo of him, he can be seen in this workbench shot...

I also posted a Zombie Flesh and Gore Tutorial on my blog.

Next up Mummies...

Base included this guy took about 3 hours maybe a little less. A really simply paint job but effective I hope. I think I want to do a little more work on defining his face, the trick is to keep the skin tone black without losing definition.

I hope to be posting a bandages tutorial tomorrow on the blog...

Hope you guys like, I should probably do skelebobs next as they're in my pledge!

C&C welcome...

The Duke

Great work Duke. Love the zombies and the mummy looks great. Good skin tones and blood on the zombies. Simple but really effective. I love the mummies and you've done a great job on that guy. The bases are getting a bit too busy though for me wink.gif . Maybe less is more for these guys.

Looking forward to seeing some more skeletons.

Thanks guys.

@Andy all the bases or the mummy one in particular? TBH I had just gotten new basing materials so I was playing about with them. The mummy base was just a spare I had lying around that I felt suited the model quite well. I didn't want to go with flock and I didn't have any dungeon toppers lying around. I had originally ordered them for the Minotaurs, as they were 30mm bases, but actually they are 25mm bases with a 5mm lip so they were too small!

Skeletons next then, I might actually claim a pledge point this month. So far behind on that but I have two weeks off (I know, two whole weeks) so I should get some stuff done. Been working on Dwarves for the bonus point and I'm doing the Giant Slug as my challenge mini, plus I'm doing Evil Acolytes for a Painting Comp.

So many minis so little time!

I think you've done a grand job on these guys, so please don't take my critic as negative. For me personally, I'm not a fan of the mummies base as it seems too big and why would he be balanced up there? But if you are using up an available base then it makes perfect sense. For the zombies I love the elements used on the bases, but they are a little busy. I think it's the leaf clutter. Maybe that was just a touch too much.

I'm picking at straws though. They are still great models and you've done a great job as usual. I still really like them.

Really nice zombies and mummies. The dark gray skin sets off the mummy's wrappings very well.
