My guess would be "probably not". Otherworld currently specialises in producing monsters rather than characters, which is understandable since there are a LOT of character makers out there but not so many monster makers. Red Box make some that fit very nicely with Otherworld, though.

OM would like to do the character sets. Richard made that very clear. As far as I know there are no concrete plans yet to produce these though. It's a major investment in time and money to get a decent amount of sets up and running. Hopefully we shall see them though at some stage in the future.

The Red box ones are nice, but lean a little closer to a 2E or 3E look to me. There are a couple notable exceptions.

I'm waiting for Richard, who will do them spot-on I'm sure.

I'll be buying them! The monster range has reached a critical size mass where, perhaps, its not such a risk for Richard to dabble with some PCs.

Looking forward to more Duergar and Drow and armoured and missile weapon skellies and missile armed Kobolds though.

I think that, if possible, Richard should buy the rights to the molds for the "Grenadier Classics" line from Mega Miniatures. They seem to be selling all their rights to other companies and those miniatures are definetively old-school.
But it's also true that there are more than enough character miniatures out there, so if Otherworld Miniatures focuses only on monsters, that's cool.

Would anybody be interested in starting a thread wherein we could post images (painted/unpainted/past/present) of our favourite archetypal D&D dungeon-explorers/adventurers? If nothing else it might provide some fun and provide some suggestions for a future line of adventurers? Just a thought to get things going as the board has been slow the last wee while.

Could be a good way of letting Richard know what people are looking for in a PC range. Personally I think GW did really well with the 3 stage mini they produced in the 80's. The infamous ADD range. Why not just start a thread and we can post pics?

Oh yeah, I think the 3 stage Citadel AD&Ds are in a class of their own, but that's just my opinion. I'm curious what other people think. I'll start a thread.

I just love all the old, iconic artwork and would love to see some of that old, basic/expert set artwork again.

I still occasionally get out all my AD&D books and leaf through them, looking at all the artwork and the tables for old times sake and I love the smell of these old books. It smells remind me of my youth!!!

I'm only 40 though so hardly the old man of the sea) smile.gif

Ah, Julie Guthrie's old Personalities range? They are a beautiful bunch of figures, even by today's standards.

Still, it seems to me that Richard and Otherworld would do better with a new line, rather than aping someone else's.
