Apparently, Pedro Navarro has been doing some Scorpions for Richard.

Looks quite nice smile.gif maybe a bit 'clean' but looks rather useful.

From the sounds of the blog Richard has a bit more in mind for these before they hit the shelves.

They look bigger than I would have guessed.

It will be fun to choose patterns for them.

Ohhhh, those are nice! I like them the way they are. I've owned two scorpions before from different companies, but they were both ick. These ones are beauties!

I like these too. They look lithe, fast and deadly, not the "spiked tanks" that so many others have done.

Yeah, I noticed that too:

These little buggers had lots of tiny legs so it was not a fast sculpting commission, I believe the client will add some spikes here and there in the future so these may look a slightly bit different from what you find later in store

Looking forward seeing what Richard have in mind.

And they are rather big ain't they?

Here on a 30mm base!

To be honest they look like they lack a bit of texture to me.

I like them a lot and hope they don't change too much. Lots of texture is a pain to clean and paint! Nice smooth surfaces are great for blending and for patterns! Either way, I'm in for at least 3!

Scorpions miniatures seam to almost always be over sized from what the MM says they should be so I am not to suprized these are.

They are nice and I fear the spike comment but I would like texture but I also understand Ceowald wish for a smooth surface.

Perhaps OW could release them like this and then have a conversion with texture for people like me, then we would get 6 different large sized scorpions.

Then I would hope for the same kind of thing to be done smaller so we would have 6 different man sized scorpions.

Um..they look very good, but why do they only have six legs? Scorpions are arachnids...that means eight legs and two pincers. Is it just the picture angle?

If we're really getting purist - scorpions that size could never exist even in a fantasy world unless the atmosphere contained significantly more oxygen (pre carboniferous) than humand could tolerate.

I prefer the wisdom of Gook from very early White Dwarf (and I quote)

"This is fantasy, anything can happen."

I think they do have eight legs. The pair closest to the head are small, relatively, compared to the other six.
