Here's a pic of one of the new Lizardmen, currently being sculpted by Paul Muller. He's nearly finished, and the 2nd one of the pair should be ready in the next few days.

How tall is he?

He would be 37mm standing straight, so I guess he's around 30mm in that pose.

What a brute. Cripes, is the whole tribe going to look like him?

He looks like he could kick everyones ass by himself.

Nice.

That is utterly brilliant!

Pauls work consistently impresses me!

I tried to hire Sandra Garrity to sculpt lizardfolk like this awhile back but she refused because I did not have Trampier's written consent to use his design. Instead of argue with her I just decided to do something else.

Glad these are going to be looking good. 37mm is pretty tall, though.

The figure looks great, Richard!

re: the size: do you have Grenadier's Lizardman Champion from the 8002 Monsters Action Art set? It would be interesting to compare the two. (And, if your figure is bigger, it could always be a Lizard King).

I'd _love_ to see someone recast a lizardman reminiscent of the original TSR logo, too: any chance you can arrange that, Richard? biggrin.gif IIRC I have some pictures of ones that sold in some eBay auctions over the past few years.

Yes, I have all the Grenadier AD&D range. I'll do a comparison photo as soon as I get the greens from Paul.

I did consider doing an homage to the old TSR logo as one of these Lizardmen, but I just didn't like the pose.

There'll be 2 Lizardmen in this first pack, then we'll do 2 more packs of head and weapon variants, as we did with the Gnolls & Bugbears. Then a chieftain figure will follow, probably a Lizard King! smile.gif
