I have just acquired these 3 figures, formerly produced by Masquerade Miniatures in Germany. I think they'll make great additions to the Otherworld range. I'm not really sure which section to add them to yet, maybe a new NPCs range?

I should be able to get these into production fairly quickly once we've sorted out the details, so watch out for them soon.

You could add them to the HH section? I doubt the similarity to Gandalf, Radagast and Saruman is unintentional. They are pretty nice sculpts, possibly a little on the caricature side but still very nice. The first is definitely my favourite.

The second one makes for an excellent druid. The first one Looks like OW to me,the third one...i'm not 100% on it,but it looks ok,just a little too "busy" looking.

I'd go with a NPC or "Personalities" range. Save the PC slot for the ones that are built to spec.

I'm with gordnuke.

Put them in an NPC range. PC's should be exactly how you want them.

That said, I really like the wizard in the top photo. The gnarled hands are very good. The bottom one I care the least for, his beard looks like fabric. They aren't 32mm are they?

I like them. They remind me a bit of Talisman miniatures. I'd like to see what the left side of the bottom mage looks like before I knock him. He may have some cool scrolls and such that make him very cool. He also "represents" for all us mages with receding hairlines. biggrin.gif And though this miniature is painted well, the all brown/tan clothing with the blue cloak throws me off a bit. blink.gif

The top two are definitely solid figs. This sculptor does some quality hands/fingers/nails as seen on the top fig. I hope these will be sold separately, because I might like a specific mage, but might want to pass on the others.

This is a nice start to some Otherworld PC/NPC miniatures.

Yeah, the first one is fantastic (not that the others aren't good).

I like the GW Talisman minis.

I agree.

I agree.

And I would like to know also, because 32mm would not look good at all next to my wonderful OW owlbears and Trolls.

I am famed for my honesty, and unfortunately this is no exception.

Who wants PC Miniatures with Familiars attached, NPC's POSSIBLY. PC's never.

And why does the 3rd one look like he's at a Disco blink.gif

Plus they aren't really "Old School" in feel IMHO.

There you go - let the 'Drew Bashing' Commence wink.gif

I think these are great sculpts and I really like them and would buy them without doubt. BUT I don't think they fit with the rest of the range. They don't have that old school look and I think to remember Masquerade Miniatures are somehow bigger than 28mm.

What about starting a new range of show case miniatures together with the satyr?

As for Drew Bashing: I really hate the question-mark at the end of your name, always makes me think there is a question to be answered. It's really irritating. unsure.gif

I'm a BIG Doctor Who fan - my Daughter (when she was little) used to spell 'Dr Who' as 'Dr Ew' Hence it being Drew?

I could use my full name if you want, but it wouldn't fit (not with the letters after my name LoL).

Upon saying that, its a daft thing to be irritated by he, he, he . . . .

I agree with the emerging consensus that the first two models are good but the third just o.k. They do not really look like they are from the Otherworld school of design though. Maybe you could have a separate category for one off mould purchases like these? Guest sculptors range?
