Hi all! I discovered Otherworld just yesterday and I am really impressed and happy to see these miniatures! I just ordered my first 3 and I really cant wait to see them in person and paint them smile.gif So I hope they look as great as the pics do! I ordered the Roper, Otyugh, and the Wights to start. Ive never see figures like these and I must say, they look to be great sculpts! Cant wait to get them. The sculpts look very nice and as long as the quality is as great as they appear, you have just gained another collector of your figures biggrin.gif

A bit about me: I live in the US and have quite a few figures..mostly 1990s Ral Partha along with some newer figures and more recently, started collecting and painting again. When I can, I will post some pics of some of my finished figures.

Looking forward to seeing more and getting my new figures!

Man i dunno...looking at some of the stuff on here..i dunno if i should lol. I been painting off and on for a long time but im just now getting around to learning more about washing and shading and even basing. I got a good steady hand and solid lines etc but the shading and tones are really what im trying to work on. Ill get something up soon so i can be criticized i guess..lol smile.gif

One of the best things about this forum, is that people don't criticize other peoples paint jobs. Some suggestions may be made, but I think everyone just enjoys seeing everybody's different take on these killer miniatures.

You are going to love the Otyugh. He is a heavy chunk of "lead" (meant in a good way) and he's very detailed. One of my favorite OW minis. Look forward to seeing your work.

Yes, this is a good place to get some friendly advice on improving your painting, if you want it.

Welcome Fraug. Have to agree with Richard & Clyde; the atmosphere around here is both friendly and constructive. Look forward to your contributions.

Ditto

I run a monthly painting challenge on the forum which is aimed at getting people painting and sharing their work with everyone and getting feedback and advice.

Everyone is very friendly and supportive so don't be scared to post pics smile.gif

Well Fraug, I can tell you one thing;

Otherworld miniatures are at least as good as their photos suggest and, in my personal (and not always easy to please) opinion, far better.

I was intent on collecting old-school and pre-slotta miniatures exclusively when I came back to the hobby last year, and this bad, bad man stuck an OW mini into an ebay lot.

I never stood a chance.

I concur with the comments above. Welcome on board and I hope you enjoy the figures when they arrive. They are all great models. If you played old school D&D then you will love the wights. I think they are my favourite undead that Otherworld have done so far.

Welcome aboard. Always look forward to seeing what folks have done with their OW figs. You can get lots of ideas and inspiration from the gallery.
Cheers Wayne.
