It's definitely old citadel because the horse is almost identical to an old citadel mounted adventurer I bought back when I was a kid in the 1980's.

As to which one, you'd have to find an old citadel catalogue I think.

Thanks David. I'm thinking the same. He's been in a box for 20+ years and now I can't find any reference for him. I was going to flog him on e-bay, but I need to know who he is first!

If you don't get an answer here - Post the pic on Frothers and you will get an instant answer - lots of Citadel geeks there.

There is a Yahoo group called Collecting_Citadel_Miniatures that has a load of Buffs on it (thats the UK use of the word buff, by the way - I don't think they all paint models down at the Gym!)

The base horse looks a lot like the ones from these Citadel figures:

http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.c...:FAC5image5.jpg
http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.c...AC12image12.jpg

There are some differences. Each of them has some added difference, though, so they might all be based on the same basic base. ("Base base base," so to speak.)

It looks sort of like the "Carolingian horse": http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.c...gHorseStand.jpg

Is this the rider? http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.c...File:DA69-1.jpg

If so, then he appears to be the DA69 Carolingian General, but on the "wrong" horse! wink.gif http://joevideki.com/Dark_Ages_DA/DA69-blue-1980.jpg

If that IS the figure, you appear to have the best, clearest image of one on the internet!

Edit: And then I run across this: http://www.solegends.com/citf/citfs/index.htm

Thanks Algolei,

I think you nailed it biggrin.gif - he seems to be the DA69 General figure! A rather obscure old school figure indeed. I'll stick him on e-bay and see if he's worth anything!

I think you should offer images of it to be Citadel fans. They don't seem to have one to put up on the Citadel Wiki thing.
