Here's a quick shot of the green of John's new Ogre Mage. He stands at 54mm tall to the eyes, he's a 4-part model (head/body/legs piece, 2 x arms, 1 x loin cloth flappy thing), and he'll come with a 50mm round base (he has a wider stance than the other OG series Ogres). Price will be £14. Release date will be late May.

I like the face and the pose, armed with a big weapon but with an empty hand raised for spell casting first.

Nicely inspired by Oni. Would work well for Clan wars or other asian inspired games.

Apart from D&D minis my collection has a lot of Asian minis. This is a double score for me.

Love that. Let me think: Hobgoblins an Ogre Mage, a dwarf samurai and a nippon halfling from citadel - now just a few samurai, ashigaru and villagwers from the Perrys and voila.

Wow, like this. Very different style from alot of OW stuff. I will have to add this one to the lead pile.

So was I before I got the full brief, but I think he looks a little closer in relationship to the rest of the ogre range and I can certainly see why I was asked to follow this route. I hope you are not too disappointed by the result.

It'll look much better after your brushes have done with it!

No I wouldn't say disappointed.

When I saw that an Ogre Mage was going to be made I was thinking it would allow an interesting opportunity to break from the physique of the other ogres.

so it's the lack of belly that saddens you? I can see that, but I was always a bit unsure of the "tusks" on the MM drawing. I quite liked the central horn though.

That said, whenever Richard has asked for changes or deviations I always grudgingly have to agree that he is right! I like the clothing he asked for, for example on this model, and it went through three faces until he was happy.

Blimey, I don't know who is the biggest ogre, me or the OM! wink.gif

If it would compensate in any way, Greg, I could post a picture of my belly. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed, although it is getting smaller with each passing week.
