Alright, I'm gonna try my hand at starting an RP...which I usually fail miserably at. Hopefully this'll get past the first page.
Since it might not be clear (given the awkward point of view), the town or city or whatever is surrounded by a forest...and there's some raw meat, or blood, hanging around somewhere nearby the starting point.
----
Dark sky. But the ground was bright and bursting with noise. So much that it was deafening. Seventh time that this had been seen. Still no understanding of the bright ground that did not need the sun to be awash in light. Light came from odd trees made of stone, metal, wood, and glass. It was a strange forest inhabited by stranger creatures. Creeping forward eased curiosity, but also made hearing harder.
Two-legs walked around the ground, not caring about the forest that they were so painfully close to. Not aware of the danger escaped from. Some had fur, and others didn't. A few carried sharp things that resembled claws or teeth. Some wore sacks of material that flowed, the furred ones didn't really wear such silly things. They were uncomfortable, "clothes", made things too warm.
Wafting through the bright forest was an intoxicating smell, meat. Raw and bloody. Cooked and ruined. Enticing. Needed to be eaten.
The forest was kept away by just a few more branches of leaves. The meat had to be close, it smelled so strongly.
A nearby two-leg turned around at the sound of the branches moving. Perhaps fearing a forest creature. It's smell had been covered by the scent of blood. Maybe the two-leg had some.
Purple eyes examined the being in front of the cat that had just crept through the bushes into the town. Golden fur glinted in the light of a nearby lamp and intricate silver stripes nearly shone like the moon.
(Alright, I'm done. Someone feel free to jump in with a character)

A young Coliran female was not far off from the smell of blood herself. Her canine nose twitches as she tries to find the direction of the smell. She lowers herself down from the tree she was resting in, letting her claws dig into a branch and swings down. She lets go of the branch and lands on all four, tail erect to keep herself steady. "Hopefully there is not a fight going on." She whispers to herself as she heads in the direction she thins it is in.
Rayn has been lost for nearly a week now, not knowing where she was heading, or even how she got into this forest in the first place. One thing she does know, she wants to be back around those she knows. She runs a paw over a feather that sits behind one of her ears. She still remembers the day she got it. "Funny how you miss those you barely know." She sets off at a small trot on her legs while she lets her paw fall down to her chest where a medallion rests between her breasts. This was her faith in life and the one thing that calms her the most.
The medallion was of some star metal from the sky with a rare gem set in the center. The metal was very cool to the touch yet it sends a warm feeling through your body. Very calming to those with a good heart. Those with evil in their deeds feel a shocking numbness spread through their body and are stun for a moment or two. The gem on the other hand was the real source of Rayn's powers, it focuses her soul to heal others. And the color attunes itself to that of the wearer. Her's is yellow.
"Hello?" Rayn raises her voice as she holds out the medallion, her way of showing peace. "Is anyone there?" he smell of blood was stronger.

Locked upon those violet orbs were frigid green seas, whose teal-flecked depths, lupine despite the human body within which they resided, bore something wild—a sharp flare in all manner deranged. Tousled auburn hair, tipped with raven, had scattered about pallid, tribally marked features, whose complexion had been only further marred by somewhat old, half-dried blood.
“Rinaku!”
Those eyes abruptly whirled about at the woman’s voice, the very sharpness of the motion throwing bits of bloodied hair before them, before the tall fellow belonging to them turned back, finding the felid again. For a moment, they flickered gold, and a true wolf’s gaze bled through, until they very abruptly twitched, and the man whipped around at the slightest touch of a slender hand to his arm, twisting away and swinging his arm back with a viciously barked snarl.
The slender woman belonging to that hand instinctively flinched back a pace, pressing maroon vulpine ears back, while oceanic eyes widened at him from behind wayward bits of long, cardinal-shot hair. Her features, already pale, somehow blanched several shades whiter, and a shudder ran down her spine, shaking the fluffed tail she bore out from its place among the folds of a black hakama. The growl that lanced its way at her, malevolent and moonstricken, pushed her back another few steps, until the swift and hurried footfalls of another raised her ears slightly off her head, and she jerked around to look.
Alert orbs of a deep blue stared beyond the fox-woman’s shoulder, thin maroon brows knotted with cark, until focusing on the turquoise form of a clearly abhominal lass, at which point she wheeled around entirely, abruptly thrusting both hands outward. “Stay back!” she barked, her ears pricking outward.
A sharp yelp replied that command, before the winged creature of her interest went toppling forward, short, draconic wings flailing open and a nonsensically long tail snaking up as she planted face first to the road. Long tendrils of deep blue-green flittered to rest against her back, and those wings soon sagged to the ground, shortly followed by a lengthy pair of tentacle-like appendages extending from their bases, and then the halfly spine-ridged tail kept in tow. A thin arm extended forward a moment later, a pair of large vulpine ears swiveling away from the ground. “Watch for the cat-beast, Kiara,” she warned, her voice slightly muffled by its current placement.

Odd creature. This type of two-leg had never been encountered before. There were so many of them, this wasn't strange, but it was odd. Tense muscles, be ready to defend. Something about this two-leg was reminiscent of the large wolf-beasts that were in the childhood forests, before meeting the two-legs. The strange eyes that flashed gold light. That resembled the wolf-beasts. The odd markings were not understood, but feared all the same.
The two-leg had used trickery. It didn't have meat. It was only covered in blood. Not even good blood. Half-ruined blood from being in the air. Two-legs weren't good for eating, they fought back too much and made too much noise. But food was needed, there had been none for weeks. Body felt empty and weak.
Sniffing the air delicately, avoiding the smell of rotting blood, there was more meat. But too close in the city. More two-legs would be there, and would make too much noise. They'd come with chains and ropes and capturing. Maybe these two-legs were already thinking that. There was another one beside the deceptive one, and another beyond that.
The cat-beast seemed to shy away from the being before it. The cat's cold fur rippled as its under developed muscles moved to back away from Rinaku. The purple orbs which had been intently examining Rinaku and the others looking around, a slim outline of white became visible at the edges.
---
Kai-chan. I give up. How many characters are you using beyond Rinaku?

The young female was not sure what was going on as she stood there with her medallion out in front of her. She was trying hard to pin point the smell of blood and ignore her other senses right now. If someone was in pain it was her duty to help them, no matter who they are. When she felt she had the right direction of the scent she moved on slowly. She now wished she trained more on her stealth because it seemed she was hitting every twig on hte ground, announcing her where-abouts.
"I knew I should have brought company with me." She whispered as her left paw breaks a stick.
Rayn was not one for confrontation yet it always seems to pop up on her and she gets the ugly end of it. She felt herself thinking this was going to turn out bad. She felt her heart beat speed up and her breathing coming out is loud raspy noises. She stops where she is at and runs a hand over the feather on her head. Why this calms her down, she will never fully know. But none the less she felt peace flow through her body once more. Then had a thought. The trees could give her a better view of the area around her. And with ease she was up a tree and looking over the area. She spotted a white glow coming not far from her location. She couldn't see what it was beccause of the leaves from other trees kept moving in the way.

Ocean blue eyes swiveled around to meet the creature of the other lass’ interest, one ear focused on the possibly feral man just paces away from the vulpine woman, while the other turned towards the forest, and the twig-breaking resounding from within. Demonic slits narrowed at the pale…sheen?…that had swallowed the animal, bits of soft maroon drifting before them, before they shifted to study its structure, thin brows beginning to knot together, until the fierce, bestial growl that Rinaku was pushing steadily forth changed.
It seemed to jump, and the resonance shifted entirely—with a sudden burst of volume and vice, the man whipped around, flinging bits of blood from his form, and, lowering as he came to a complete about-face, jammed a heavy heel into the ground, lunging into a sudden sprint along the line of trees.
Both maroon ears abruptly pricked upright, the woman’s eyes widening just as sharply, before she wheeled around on the balls of her feet, lurching off to pursue him, but not before snapping a very loud, very colorful “FUCK!!” which was followed by a rather forceful “Rinaku, stop!!”
The pale aquamarine lass jerked her head upright at that moment, yanking her face off the road, before the crest of webbed spines atop her head pressed downward, and clawed hands shoved her chest away from the ground. “Hey!” she yelped, trying to scramble up to her feet, only to reach a quadrupedal level before quickly giving up. “Whuh…buh…f’deh—Agh!” she stammered loudly in protest, attempting to push forward, perhaps, four paces on all fours, before flaring her wings out and stopping herself from introducing her face to the road again.
A nonsensically long, serpentine tail slid across the ground, brilliant teal eyes turning to the glowing feline a moment, before staring back ahead, and off where Rinaku and Kiara had gone. Long ears sagged to the sides as she sank back onto her haunches, drawing her wings in, and coiled her tail to the side, soon pushing back onto her hands and paw-like feet to continue forward. As she came within, roughly, two metres of the vicinity the other two were formerly standing, she stopped and settled back down, leaning her head aside to scratch her neck under the ridge of her jaw, where her fingers were quickly swallowed by her hair.

Rayn caught all the action and was more then just confused. How she missed all these other scents was the problem she was fighting with. But she knew why, she was focused on the blood. Not there clowns, as she saw them now. What ever they were up to they sure as do not use their nose or they would stop doing what they are doing. With a sigh she slides back to the ground, not so silently, and makes her way to the path. Here she stops dead in her tracks.
"What the..." She looks left the right before slowly stepping out into the open path. The smell of blood was stronger. "Hello?"

Of course, the smell of blood never bore any impact on the activities of others, whether they smelled it or not; it was everywhere. It was a very common smell, fresh, or old, and after years of consistently smelling it, it had a tendency to lose its impact. The smell got significantly closer to Rayn, however, and seemed to be travelling with the two that had just plunged into the wood. In fact, it was clinging to Rinaku.
Soon, with fervent yelling littering the noise of swift steps, the strangely lupine humanoid went barreling past the Coliran, pulling with him an air clearly animalistic and crazed. A few moments later, the pale vixen came charging through in his wake, her shouts, mostly consisting of “Stop! You’re going to rip yourself open!” losing volume long enough to change to a brief, “Oh, hello, Rayn,” before returning to volume as she too bolted right on by.
Meanwhile, out on the cobblestone road by the forest edge, the young amphibian could be found blinking at the large felid, her long ears sagging awkwardly to the sides a moment, before she lifted up onto her haunches and looked around. Where could she find some fresh meat? It smelled like there was a marketplace nearby… Lifting her head, she sniffed the air, looking to get a good feel of exactly where it was coming from, and soon found herself twisting almost entirely backwards, peering off down the nearest road in that direction curiously.
“I think I can find something down that way,” she began, looking back at the peculiar animal as she raised an arm to point towards it. Sliding her tail across the cobblestones, she shook a few bits of hair from her face, turning around as she did so, before pushing forward and gradually rising to her feet. “Stay close by and you might be safe,” she added, shifting to begin towards that road.

Rayn gives a small start upon being addressed. She focuses in on the speaker and tilts her head. Her face fell upon thinking on who this might be. This was not going to be good for her health she could tell already. She could only think of one person who spends more time with her face in the ground then anyone else. She tries to focus on the her but her nose was tuned into the blood and she didn't want to lose that. She with that she stops where she is at and looks around.
"Is someone hurt? I smell blood and it doesn't smell too good. " She figure she could for go her manners right now. In her heart she felt a life is in need of help and if she doesn't find out who it is then they might die.

Long maroon ears swiveled back at Rayn’s voice, oceanic eyes darting to the side, as though to look back, before quickly returning forward, just in time for Kiara to come face to face with a wall-like amassing of tall brush that her lupine companion had leapt over just moments earlier. With a sharp yelp, she ducked her head and raised her arms before it, just before plunging straight into the dense thicket; the heavy rustling of disturbed flora abruptly stopped in the same moment it began, spreading an ominous silence into the wood, as though she’d been swallowed whole. ____
Keeping close to the walls wasn’t especially difficult; the aquatic creature followed alongside the buildings relatively closely herself, occasionally pressing closer in order to avoid others in passing. Paw feet followed a straight path, pausing occasionally to smell the air and check the animal’s presence, until her senses brought her to an open-kiosk butcher. Pausing a short distance away, she surveyed the cuts available, twitching her nonsensically long tail thoughtfully, before beginning to shuffle about her person, checking compound loincloth and open-backed top alike for monetary sorts.
“Anything look or smell especially good to you?” she inquired over a shoulder, reaching into her cleavage in the process.

Rayn was getting confused and she was blaming herself for this. Her tail thumps the ground as a small growl is born in her throat. Her nature to help others was driving her forward yet not knowing where she was going is the force that is making her go slow. "For once I wish I could be like Takeru and not care about anything. And you know what is worse...I feel that by me being overly self protective that by the time I reach the wounded one...she may be dead." She howls out at the sky before flopping her ass onto the ground and sits cross legged in the middle of the road. "I don not care...I do not care...I do not care..." She starts chanting under her breath.

(Urk, short. ._.; I must've lost my groove, man.)
A long, vulpine ear swiveled back towards the wayward beast, the webbed ridge of spines formerly flattened to the lass’ head rising ever so slightly at the man’s call. Luminous teal eyes rose from the crease in her breast to meet him, her fingers gradually withdrawing with a single gold plate pinched between the knuckles of her index and middle. “Yes,” came the beginnings of her reply, her stare darting about the pieces of meat on display.
“I’d like two pounds of that,” she pointed to a nondescript, but somewhat sweet-smelling cut of red meat, “and a pound of the…” She trailed off, her attention quickly getting lost on a blue-touched slab of animal flesh. She’d never seen any like it before. “…What is that?” she inquired, pointing at it next.

Rayn was still confused and upset with her ability not to help. She knew she was a bone head at times and hated it a lot but could not help herself on it. She rubs her forehead while she looks at her feet, each claw was extended so she could see them well. She did this way to often when she felt lost, why she thought her paws could hold the answer to things she never will know.
"Would have been better off talking to..." Rayn's head snaps up and looks around her for the one who greeted her. "Hey...come back here. Please I want to talk now!"
Rayn did a small pirouette on her right leg to look around before standing up straight. She tried to remember which way she was going, they were going. She just remembered there was more then just her. She took a deep breath before marching off in their direction. Well she hoped it was the way they went.
"I want to talk!" She yelled ahead as she went.

“I’ll take a few pounds of that,” the aqueous-shaded lass began, glancing back at the felid. “I’m sure she’ll appreciate it.” Flicking her free ear to the side a little, she curled her nonsensically long tail to the side, pressing the webbed bone at its end to its tip. “And that ought to be it, I think.” ____
The sound of Rayn’s voice echoed through the trees, chasing away some of the avian fauna. It left behind a looming shroud of vast emptiness in the wake of the noise that had rent through the forest just minutes earlier. The silence that settled in was soon shattered, however, as the vicious sound of an almost human cry, like a snarling howl, shook the ancients themselves from their slumber, its resounding echoes given only more impact by the breeze shuddering the foliage.
The trees continued to shake against the wind’s fingertips, still rustling as the life died out of the air, until the boisterous snapping and crackling of splintering wood, closely followed by a sharp, feminine yelp, brought everything to a sudden, crashing halt.
Further in the distance, beyond Rayn’s position, past thick shrubbery and beyond a sizeable stone formation, there stood a great tree, slightly larger than those surrounding it and very, very old. Its boughs were massive, one of which freshly broken, and its foliage was scarce at best. Below it lay a branch as wide as an adult human’s leg, and underneath it, pinned by its weight and its jagged structure, was the feral stricken man.
He lay stark still, clenching his fingers tightly into the thick, crease-ridden bark. His hair, further tousled, hung in a dark, raven-tipped and blood corrupted curtain over steely emeralds, whose focus had been pinned on the startled form of the vulpine woman a few paces before him. His tribally marked face, traced with both old and fresh crimson fluids, bore a deranged scowl, and a soft growl, bestial at best, whispered from his vocal cords.

Rayn stops in her tracks and looks about. Something in the sir caught her attention and now she hates having her nose. If it isn't one smell it is another and both of them are not happy smells. A low growl of frustration hit her throat before she heads over the shrubs and back into the forest, slowly making her way to this large tree and the smell.
"Hello!?"

Nodding, the lass offered it forward, absently curling the end of her tail the other way. “Please tell me you have a proper half-piece,” she appealed awkwardly, restlessly opening her wings to half span, and then closing them. She… didn’t actually have any proper place to put more than one or two smaller monetary pieces, and it was at that point that she suddenly became especially conscious of it. ____
Half-gauntleted hands dug harsher into the bark of the fallen bough, those cold, teal-corrupted eyes locked on distressed oceanic orbs, before they turned to the limb atop their bearer, and blood-smeared arms shifted towards the smaller branches that surrounded him. With swift, deft strikes, he began to snap the gnarled stalks entrapping him, starting first with the one against his neck, which he flung viciously aside, before haphazardly doing the same with several others, soon employing his legs to the same task once they were free enough.
Kiara watched, frozen, as her wild-eyed companion eventually applied use of both hands and feet alike to shove the bough off of him, bouncing backwards once it lurched at her. She found a brief moment of stillness in the fallen limb’s wake, through which she caught Rayn’s last call, however could do little more than turn an ear towards it, before reflexes shoved all of her focus into darting sideways.
Rinaku had risen, and in the time the pale vixen had been distracted, he leapt atop the bough and lunged at her, swiping the very ends of her hair during her swift evasion. His weight slammed palms-first to the ground, his spine coiling inward as his feet jammed their toes into the foliage-blanketed earth, before he lifted off the ends of his fingers, pivoted, and pushed to spring at the woman again. Not even a few paces’ airborne, his velocity come to a sudden, crashing halt; his trajectory changed in less than a heartbeat, and before he could realize exactly what was happening, his chest impacted the forest floor with enough force to shove the air violently from his lungs.
The peculiarly lupine man wheezed, clenching his fingers into the dead flora, and then thrashed in an effort to rise once again, only to find that his body had been swiftly bound down by old, thick roots, and he could rise no higher than his hands and knees.

A young lady near the meat vendor stops a few feet away and looks over at the group and the meat on display. Upon seeing her anyone could tell you that she was a meat eater, every tiger was in any shape or form they were in. But being a military personal was something that would throw them off track, no reason to have on of them here...no war or base to defend. But here she was and here the meat was. With a flick of her tail she made her way over to the booth to get her own selection of red meat...with blood too if she could.
In a small clearing in the woods, scurrying up a small dirt pile was unhappy Rayn. She was more or less fed up with looking for this poor soul and was ready to call it a day even though the sun was still up. But before she could even call it a day her right foot found a root and decided to get stuck there. And as a result her body went to the ground where she did not plan it to go. Well while her muzzle was meeting the dirt, her shin decided to go from one bone to two bones. This was also not planned. A stream of words from many languages she knew came tumbling out as she rolled around int the dirt, which caused a small dust cloud to pop up, before she finally looked on top of the small dirt hill to see nothing there, nothing to cause the damage that was done to her.
"Fuck...you." Was all she said to the small two foot hill surrounded by three trees.

'To know how to conduct oneself in life is harder then in battle. No true man can withstand the fear the battle feild gives you. No true man can sleep soundly after a defeat. But those are just moments of your life, simple events you lived through. But to live on without bringing those events back into your life is the true meaning of control. First Rule all Kelrobians must learn my Son.'

Utter relief washed over the lass’ face as her shoulders sagged and her ears flopped. “Great,” she began, composing herself and reaching somewhat hesitantly out to present her palm, “I don’t have room for much else.” A sheepish grin spread her aqua-shaded features, tendrils of thick blue-green slipping before them, while the other hand strummed restlessly at the counter. Luminous teal eyes darted to the side, pausing a moment to blink at the bipedal tigress nearby, before swiveling around to find the cat-beast a short distance behind her. Her tail twitched, the tentacle-like appendages extending from her wing bases curled, and absently she splayed her toes, before shuffling in place, as though suddenly in mild apprehension.
She could still dimly hear the plight of her companions in the distance, but among all the noise of the marketplace, and the rustling of the trees in the breath of the ocean, she could not discern just what was going on. A light frown creased her visage, her ears swiveling to either side in distinct discomfort. “I hope they’re okay,” she muttered to herself, finally allowing her head to turn around and look towards the forest. ____
Raucous, livid snarling kept the surrounding forest in a constant state of unrest. Birds skirted away from the vicinity overhead, rodents scattered away as they roused from diurnal slumber, cervine animals kept their distance for up to a mile. The fauna did not need to know much to understand that there was a wolf in the area, and that its wrath, furious and deranged as it was, was best avoided.
Human fingers dug into the obscured earth, clawing grooves into its foliage-layered surface, flinging dead leaves, dirt clods, moss, and even ants into the air. Steely eyes were a frigid and forbidding gold, and formerly dull teeth had lengthened to points. Booted feet were still, but rigid, while the rest of the battered body to which they belonged thrashed with all of its might, cracking loudly in places against the roots that bound it down. Words and reason had been forgotten, but a wild determination to reattain free motion, and a rabid lust to kill, burned boldly in their place.
A sharply tipped canine gnawed on a soft red lower lip, thin maroon brows knotted worriedly above sharp, dark eyes. Slender arms crossed over a modest chest, and long vulpine ears angled to either side, sandaled toes tapping pensively to the earth. He really was beyond civility and rationale now; there was no way Kiara could contest it otherwise. He was even starting to revert. Lowering her head, the petite vixen shut her eyes, tightening her fingers around her elbows, and thought hard, considering her options and their respective consequences.
For a long moment Rinaku’s fierce snapping and growling were lost to her ears, and only the dull blackness of her innermost thoughts remained in her perception. Then, her ears pricked, and her eyes shot back open. Unfolding her arms, she stepped lightly forth, picking her way closer to the bestial man, and sank down to a knee, raising her leading hand as she did so. A soft wisp of jade curled and snaked along her arm towards her fingers, affectionately enwrapping about her wrist and palm, before sparking, and a vine, heavily laden with violet-tinged thorns, lashed down her arm, weaving swiftly around her hand and among her fingers.
Puffing a quiet sigh through her nose, the fox demon extended her other hand to grasp the back of Rinaku’s auburn-topped skull, pressing his face down towards the dirt. With a rueful, “It’s been a long time since I last had to do this,” she jammed his head down harder, making certain it couldn’t move, before gripping the back of his neck with the vine-wrapped hand, piercing several edged tips into his skin.

“We find sunsets so captivating because the clouds become guardians; the vibrant colors we see are the spirits of our fallen comrades and those we love as they’re carried into Wiescheran’nyat. If we stay to watch night fall, then we’re witnessing the safely guided souls settle into the heavens as the stars.”
“What happens to them then, Ka’meos?”
“They watch the rest of time drift serenely by, waiting for the hour that we shall join them in the endless cosmos.” --Katadikaomenos, and Sielu
