It looked like those that were in the pack were curious of both she and the other stranger. The odd-hued male... Soar he seemed to be called looked rather amused by her prior comments or her attitude... or even both if that was possible. It most likely was, come to think of it. But either way, Ecko was more than delighted to wait for a response from the snow-colored alpha. The matching female, Oya - she thought she got her name right from overhearing the ranks, seemed almost disdainful towards the young fae. Perhaps it was because of the first impression Ecko gave off - clumsy, excited and nervous. Sure, it was mostly correct, but the young gal hadn't exactly met an alpha before, so she didn't know how to act. At least, she thought that way until now.

Seriously?! She didn't have to use 'm'lord' when speaking to him? Well, that was a surprise! It would take some time to get out of that habit, but with some work it could most likely be done. Letting a canine grin flash across her muzzle, Ecko's tail brushed from side to side quickly in a delightful wag. The gal may still be considered young thanks to her rather... amusing personality on top of her youthfulness. Either way, formality seemed to give way to familiarity for this alpha it seemed. Near? That was a unique enough name for a very unique wolf. Right when he mentioned she could take a seat, Ecko did just that - and rather quickly. Actually, her action was more of a sudden flop of her rear end to the ground, but she only made a little noise in the action thanks to her light form.

But the whole 'getting wings' thing? That was exciting.

And then the other damsel approached the growing group. Watching the pale gal curiously, her head tilted to the side at the wink. Really? A wink? That was unexpected, not that Ecko didn't need the little bit of support from this Rhaxta she-wolf. It wasn't like the blue-tinted dame paid that much attention to the other loner's little speech - she would rather converse (or pester - whichever came first) about past lives one-on-one later when she became more acquainted with the others. But Near's next words seemed almost harsh... but not anywhere near enough so for the pale blue gal to think badly of the male.

And then he signaled for Ecko to come closer. So, of course, the gal rose back to her limbs and stepped closer to Near with curious excitement dashing about in her gray eyes. The two-year-old had only taken a glimpse at the very end of the darker fae's transformation, but knew not as to what it was like. The alpha had said it wouldn't hurt... so it mustn't... right? Well, she'd find out soon enough. It wasn't like she had to fulfill three impossible tasks to win the prize of the miraculous flying contraptions that sprouted and rested gracefully on all of the packmembers' backs. Oh, how she longed to have a set for herself now that she could actually put truth to the stories of her sire. To soar through the skies was something that normal wolves would only dream of and Ecko had the opportunity to join such an intriguing pack who did just that! Oh, how pleasantly exciting.

Oya nodded her head in thanks once more, lowering herself until her rumb was touching the ground. Grey orbs flickered, wondering what this wolf next to her could possible be thinking. Letting out a soft sigh, her auds flicked forward. Trying to hold back a bit of laughter as Near almost, well seemed like, snapped at one of the new wolves. I think her name was Rhax. Oya didn't care really, then he told them not to use 'M'lord' or any of those other phrases.

Relaxing a bit, Oya streached out, letting out a yawn. Her eyes half closed as her stomach touched the cool stone, her white fur almost meshing a bit at the tips. With plastered forward, she lowered her head onto her small grey paws. Now she was even smaller then Soar. She was even as she sat down next to the brute. 'That pip squeak better not be apart of my area...' she thought, letting out another soft growl. Turning her head ever so slight, she gazed up at Soar before turning away. "What are you thinking about Soar?" she finally asked, licking her maw before yawning. Fangs glistening in the light. "Also, what rank do think those two will be given?" Oya muttered, looking at Rhax and Ecko. She didn't know what either of them were good at and really didn't care. As chief raider, she wanted someone calm and willing to listening. Not the bubbly type, or well a nervous pup like Ecko. But she would have to deal. Whatever Near dished out. Oya would accept or throw back ten times harder.

Soar's auds flicked curiously as he listened, his gaze trailing the new entrant. He noted the agitation Near seemed to show towards being touched, clearly licking his muzzle in submission as most alpha's would accept would not be an option for any wolf here. But not touching a wolf was difficut with the way their language worked, at least there where no young pups with no regard for what is said to them. He smiled thinly, his head tilted ever so slightly to the side. He watched Oya from the corner of his eye while keeping the majority of his attention on Near and the two fea's he had his attention on. Watching eager to see the gift of wings given again, his aud flicked to the sound of Oya's voice. The thought of a hunt was still fresh in his mind, but he was also beginning to think about the wolves ahead of him, attempting to guess the ranks they would be given. "I am thinking of many things," he growled softly, "the thought particuarly fresh is that of the hunt."

His head turned to the femme, his tongue passing across his lips and auds flickering back and forth. "I cannot guess what ranks Near will give the feas, but I suppose the ranks of messenger or simply subordinate sound likely, at least until the fea's a better known," he growled softly indicating to the femme Ecko. She seemed young and slightly fearful, but he had no doubt she would calm down quickly once adopted fully into the pack environment. His words where loud, loud enough for her to hear, it was clear he was trying to get her to show the confidence she had. His head turned back to Near, aud flicking into place to listen to Oya. his paws shifted against the ground slightly, his gaze fixing. It seemed every wolf that entered seemed to look at him for his odd colours, but that femme. Rhax, she had looked at him for quite some time, was he really that odd? He couldn't say he didn't find her a slightly strange femme, a coat of natural white and eyes of pink, an albino wolf no doubt about it. The first he had ever seen. Though rather than thinking it a fault he found it rather appealing, to him it was a nice thing to see, pleasing to the eyes. Rather befitting of the youth. Though he couldn't help but to feel old, especially with the two young femmes so close, while he was not old about them he felt it, for in age he was clearly far more blessed than the feas. Perhaps his age would give him the experience, for he was still in prime, young enough to be strong but old enough to be calm, smart and lead. Though he had never thought of recieving such a high rank, leading hunts was the most he had expected, but he wanted to do his best to fulfil this rank.

(( sorry my reply is so late. D: ))

His nose twitched with pleased amusement at Ecko. He had the perfect rank in store for her. No further thought was needed. He would make this quick.

As she stepped forward, he tilted his head towards the sky for the second time that evening. And not the last. After this, he would have to perform the same ceremony for Rhaxta, the one he didn't much approve of. The howl escaped him, summoning Lexa to look down on the wolf. Lexa. A goddess, surely, possibly, probably, but not the one he would allow to guide his pawsteps. “Goddess Lexa. The sky it calls to you. It calls through the strongest storm and the gentlest breeze. Hear us! I, Nate River, am calling upon you to have this fae, by the name of Ecko, transformed into a bird. She has pledged her soul to the skies and wishes to join me. Please give me the power to give her the element of air.”

Also for the second time, his ears twitched as he was forced to use his true name. The one that not many wolves knew besides himself. It annoyed him, and the sound of it buzzed in his ear like a bee insisting on stinging him just for coming within a mile of the nest. He flicked it away from his mentality awkwardly.

Ecko was already close enough, and he was already standing, so it was a simple matter to place his head on top of her's, and whisper for only her ears just before the cloud of smoke would engulf her and she would find herself falling in herself, “Feel the air as it ruffles your pelt. Enjoy the wonderful sensation of flying with the birds. Now you belong to air.” With that he stepped back to watch the transformation.

When it was over, he didn't pause, but swept into speech. "Ecko, I give you the rank of patroller. One who is as energetic as you should be in the middle of the action, and would enjoy knowing things before most of the pack, am I right? Your job is to protect our borders and report back to me if you should ever find something." With a nod to her, he turned away and gestured with his tail for Rhaxta to step forward so he could perform his last transformation of the day. After that, he would be able to adjourn the meeting. If she was still present.
